Do NOT bother unless you want to wait 2 hours and get the wrong food. Staff had zero clue what was going on. Very nice people (one extra star for that)but wow- just clueless. It just seems like the kitchen and the staff were super unorganized like they had never worked in a restaurant before. And that's totally fine but if the pizza is gonna take an hour, the order better be right and the communication better be thorough. Nobody knew what was going on, the restaurant was not set up properly, there were chairs upside down on tables and you could see the tables were not set up with silverware and plates and glasses. Everybody waited a really long time and we were very specific with what we wanted. She repeated it back, but whoever is working in the kitchen did not get it correct and then when I asked about it, they said they would fix it but then the fix never showed up and we were there forever.! Came here just to have a drink after our walk, but ended up ordering pizza and wings. And so glad we did! We had the mai tai and a drink called "The Moment" which were so refreshing! The wings were a little spicy for me, but DH loved 'em. We ordered the supreme pizza and it was so yummy. The crust wasn't too thick and the ingredients were fresh. Just be aware that if you order an extra side of ranch for your wings, it'll cost you and extra $2. Won't break the bank but a little irritating. RAT! While eating dinner a rat joined us under the table. Although we didn't see it, neighboring diners did, & they described it as a large black rat. It scratched the leg of 1 friend at our table & ran across 2 others. The server admitted he saw a 'mouse.' We were charged full price for our dinner, although we were offered a free pizza the next day. We were heading home & not really craving anymore pizza after that, so we declined. We did ask to be reimbursed but have yet to get a response from the owner or manager. Avoid this place! Was double charged for one order! I ordered a pizza here for pick up. The hostess was nice, but she took forever to process my payment. For some reason, it wouldn't go through so she took my card to another worker in the back, I'm assuming the manager, and he took forever to process it. They never gave me a receipt so I took a picture of the one I signed. While I'm waiting for the pizza, I get 2 alerts from Amex for 2 different transactions. I go back to pick up my pizza (20 min wait) and I tell the hostess that I was charged twice so she says something to the manager, but he doesn't acknowledge or even look up. She comes back and tells me that they were having issues with their system so I figured they'll void one and it would clear. It's been 5 days and it doesn't look like they voided it. The first transaction went through without tip and the second one with the tip so it looks like 2 different orders, so I now have to dispute the extra transaction. Pls check your credit card statements if you have made any purchases here because I don't think the extra charge was an accident. Pizza was ok but not worth $45 and that's just for a medium with nothing extra, didn't order any drinks either. read more

Food here was just OK for the price. A $23 salad at any location should be loaded and not basic. Also if you have eight salads on your menu they should all be available. Only three were. The pizza "OK" by my kids measure. Also, not sure why I was charged a service fee when I picked up my food. There are plenty of pizza joints in the area so I'll be trying them next. read more

The restaurant is under new ownership and we couldn't have been more disappointed. We ordered wings, a salad and two pizzas. It took over 30 minutes to get our wings. And even longer for the salad and pizza. The salad which was $22 didn't come until our pizzas arrived with the dressing on the side. It's impossible to dress a large salad without tossing it so most of the lettuce was undressed. Sodas were $4.50'each and we had to wait 15 minutes for a refill. The pizzas which were over $40 each weren't great. 1/3 of each slice was crust. We had to ask for napkins, forks and plates. And watch out for the 5% operational fee. Because we didn't get to look at the bill until after we paid it we didn't realize it until after we had tipped and we get a printout of the receipt. The waitress seemed so put off when asked to provide a basic service and the restaurant wasn't busy, maybe a total of six tables were being used. The check was split on essentially down the middle for eight guests but only one check had the gratuity added, lucky because the tip would've reflected the attitude. Hideaway's is tucked into a private community of homes but it is immediately welcoming. Every booth and table has extraordinary views of the Kauai mountains.
