I love a quirky eatery and a coffee house that was a former gas station definitely fits the bill! The dinosaur in between the gas pumps out front makes it that much better! They serve coffee, ice cream and sandwiches. They frequently offer specialty coffee drinks that are a little fancier and with fun toppings based on whatever holiday or season is current. I definitely enjoyed my coffee that was topped with mini marshmallows. Bonus points that they have a band play music on the back patio from time to time - I've personally seen them playing twice!

Affogatos are amazing here - best coffee on the menu in my opinion!!! If you're looking for a less sweet alternative, their pour overs are amazing - especially the chemex and origami. I am a frequent flyer for coffee here and never hesitate to return

Such a cute coffee stop! Delicious Milky Way latte... small bites and ice cream. Be sure to stop here! Indoor and outdoor seating available.

I ordered through Door Dash and my dasher grabbed the wrong order and delivered it to me. (Just coffee no food) I am 8 months pregnant so hunger was kicking in but they had someone who worked from the store deliver it to me. Not even a dasher. Very nice guy I really appreciated that they did this. Wish I could have tipped him! But I highly recommend this place. They made everything right and I very much appreciate it. Food is delicious! I got a ham egg and cheese on a croissant with mayo and it did not disappoint!

Ok, finally made it back here, and it's fantastic! The menu has grown substantially, and service is much better. They have added tables, so more seating inside. They were incredibly busy the day we went, but service was smooth. It does take a bit to get your oder, but since everything is made when you order, this is expected. We will definitely be back, am just sorry it took us so long to get back over and enjoy!

My wife and I like boutique coffee joints, but we have had issues finding one in Union County we like until now! Coffee: This is about the coffee for us and it's really good! It's smooth and tasty. I don't usually like my coffee bitter, so the white mocha is perfect for me. They can make it extra sweet but it was a bit too sweet. Chai: Any time my wife talks about chai, she is comparing it to her favorite chai from college. She compared it to that chai! I even liked it and I don't like chai! Food: My wife I have tried the breakfast sandwiches only, and they were pretty good. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on sourdough. She had a turkey, egg, and cheese on GLUTEN FREE BREAD! I don't know if they use separate grills, so there might be cross contamination, but my wife had no issues with it. Atmosphere: The location in a restored gas station is genius! The soft chairs right in the entrance are perfect and there is outside seating when the weather is good. This place is popular, so do be prepared for a possible long wait if you go in during peak hours Staff: They are fairly friendly. They normally have a smile, repeat your order back to you, get your order to you quickly, and check on you if things are taking too long. They consistently stay open and make quality drinks and food. This is the best coffee in Union County and the best chai in the South!

First time here and I'm in love! Service was warm and friendly, loved the vibe inside, and much more seating than I thought! They offer fresh pastries and baked goods, their breads are from a local bakery and they also have gluten free bread and waffles! The food menu includes smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and all kinds of waffles, plus sandwiches for lunch and more! They even have a case with several ice cream flavors. If you have not stopped in, you need to. My latte was delicious (salted caramel white mocha) and I can't wait to try the food next time. Also, they have great hours and are open til 8pm which is rare!

Fantastic coffee and sandwiches! Location is great and the building is fantastic. Great service and food was great. Even have waffles! Highly recommend to stop in if you're in downtown Monroe.

Have you tried the sandwiches at Monroe's newest coffee shop? Order one hot off the panini press and especially for breakfast. Except for East Frank's there isn't another coffee shop in Monroe offering hot, made to order sandwiches--none that I know. They're huge. A great deal. Ya gotta try one! Oscar and his wife set up shop in April 2023 inside the restored Sinclair Gas Station to offer coffee shipped from the mountains of Columbia to our small town. And I like it. They make an exceptional cortado, too--just ask for it. And not just coffee. Hand-scooped ice cream, fresh pastries, and even a couple waffle irons to round out the day beside the paninis. Mmmm. With Alice Jules, Dandelion & Friends along with East Frank's nearby, there is a buzz in the air near Main Street filled with choices. What's not to like? Got a need for a jolt of Joe? Has the percolator screaming on my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. Go here. Pro tip: High Octane continues to iron some wrinkles which anyone who has opened a business knows takes time. Be a little patient--worth the wait.

Been here more than once and love the look of this place outside and inside. It can be a great hangout spot and they have great parking lot space as well. Their waffles are such nice treats that I always order when I go here. I've tried their tiramisu from the dessert display and to me it seemed overpriced for the amount that I got. I once had come on a day they were celebrating their anniversary and were giving customers free cake slices which was nice and sometimes a food truck can be found outside which I think is such a good way for a business to support other businesses!

Recently found this little place. BEST iced chai latte in NC I have had. I get it with almond milk and cinnamon on top. I've lived in Monroe for a few years and been looking for a chai like this. Also, I have tried their fruit bowls and the breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread. Everything has tasted great! Also pictured is a breakfast sandwich with regular bread. So excited to have found this place!

It is in downtown Monroe with street parking and some public parking lots. Our daughter said she has been there around 11:00am and got a spot on the street right in front. It is very eclectic with decor and items for sale. They have indoor seating, seating along entrance hall and outdoor seating. You order at one counter, which has a large menu boards above the counter. The young lady that took our order was very nice. You pay over at the bar area. It was not busy at the time we were there. I had the Salad Sandwich. You can get it with chicken salad, tuna salad or chickLESS salad. I had the chicken salad in a spinach wrap with lettuce and tomato. There are other bread options. The wrap was filled with the chicken salad. It was nicely seasoned and tasted really good. My husband and daughter both did the Pick Your Burger, a build your own. My husband had the burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. My daughter added bacon, lettuce, grilled onions and provolone cheese. They both said it was a great burger. We enjoyed our food. Definitely will come back.

It's a smaller spot with the ordering counter and kitchen in the back and maybe seating for 26 or so. The folks behind the counter were friendly and the order process was simple. I got their sandwich special, the Buffalo Soldier. It was chicken cutlet with lettuce, tomato, blue cheese, and ranch on ciabatta. I made it a combo with chips and a soda. With tip I think the total was around $17. That was a touch more expensive than I was expecting especially with just a bag of chips on the side. The sandwich was good. Between the blue cheese and the ranch it was really creamy and most of the toppings slide off with the second bite. I don't mind a mess though! The ciabatta bread was the perfect compliment for the sandwich. It was a cute spot and I especially liked the creative sandwich names. I'd go back and try the chicken ceasar wrap next time.

I always order the fluffy on GF with no cheese, and he always orders the Italian on GF with no cheese. There is cross contamination, so if you are celiac, you can ask them to change gloves, use a clean knife, and keep your sandwich away from the others. We have almost never received the correct order without cheese the first time, but they don't make a fuss when asked to remake the sandwiches, and they are very apologetic. These sandwiches are generous with the meat and other fillings, and the pizza-crust-as-bread works so well. We also get their delicious potato salad with our sandwiches. The seating area is not huge, maybe ten tables, but we've never had to wait for one, and we often take our order to go. The restaurant is clean, and parking is fairly convenient. Even with the issue of having to remake sandwiches, I still rate Blake's a solid five star. It's consistently delicious, and I like supporting a small business in my home community.

Good: Biscuit was soft and had a good taste to it. The pancakes were also solid. Coke in a glass bottle! Scrambled egg was fine. Tough to mess that up.
