The food here is good! Today was my first visit and I enjoyed my food. It was delicious and very filling. The lady at the front around 2pm was very kind and gave great customer service. The reason I'm not giving this place its fifth star is because tip is mandatory. I am all about giving tips but it takes out all the fun when it's mandatory. Minimum tip is 15% which was a bit silly. They also did slightly mess up my order. It wasn't a big deal but I would've liked to have received the correct order after leaving a tip. Overall I'd rate this place a solid 8/10. It is pricy but the food is delicious! The service is great and i totally recommend!!! read more

Super disappointing with my first experience of this eating establishment. I won't be ordering from here again. First of all, I am unable to eat bananas and The Very Berry Crepe I ordered and paid for is listed as Strawberries, Blueberries and Nutella. So I guess the restaurant is out of blueberries or who knows? and I get strawberries and bananas. What a waste of good earned money and food. How difficult is it for a restaurant like HIGH TIDE, who should know better after being in business for a while, to inform the customer BEFORE they make or hand over the packages to go item and just say " We are out of blueberries, would bananas be ok or would you just like extra strawberries or just cancel the order for that item? Simple common, considerate, customer oriented sense creates good karma and shows consciousness. Too much assuming can cause problems. Will the owner or management or even any employees actually care about my suggestion? I care enough to bring it to their attention for a better outcome overall for the future. It was my first time trying this place, and I was really excited to eat here since they have a variety of food that I like from their menu. They're located near the beach, but parking is horrible during busy hours since you're fighting for parking with all the other restaurants around, the grocery store, and the people going to the beach nearby. This place isn't a "bad" place if you have a lot of time to kill before getting your food. The pasta looked appetizing, but it was very bland. I'm never the type to adjust the taste of my food (especially in restaurants) but I had to add so much salt, pepper, and even tabasco on my pasta to actually at least enjoy it a tad bit. The staff are nice when you're ordering, but the staff seemed unprofessional when they're handling each other since they're all talking, eating, and even having small arguments while there's a line waiting. The food took a while, and they got one of our orders wrong (which added more wait time for us). These are things that might've just happened for my visit today, but I don't think I'd personally be willing to come back again. read more

I couldn't have been more excited or more let down to have crab benedict at High Tide. To be fair, this is a crepe restaurant and maybe I shouldn't have ordered anything other than that. But as you can see, the benedict looks so beautiful and enticing, I couldn't help myself. Huge mistake. While the little English muffins were delicious and tasted homemade, the rest was awful. The hollandaise had so much lemon in it, I felt like my plate was doused with lemon pledge. The eggs were overdone but hey, that happens. The potatoes had so much seasoning on them. They had a thick coating of seasoning which left my throat burning. I honestly would go back again just to try a crepe but I would steer clear of other options. The location is nice and convenient. Order at the front counter and they bring the food to your number. Pick a seat in the back. Boyfriend ate every bite of his 3 egg omelette and talked about the meal later in the evening in happy reminiscing. I enjoyed the extra crispy beer battered fish and sampled the 4 dipping sauces. I could not make out the ingredients in the sauces which means there must be a dash of cumin. This is a great place to have brunch and enjoy maybe lunch it's up to you you could have breakfast or lunch or both. I brought my family today and I was pleasantly surprised with the meal that was served quickly and it was delicious. The portions were extremely well given and their spicy sauce that the Philly cheesesteak was incredibly delicious and spicy, beware it may be a little more than you expect but it has a very nice cake. My whole family enjoyed their meal left the plates clearly empty and wanting to come back soon. Lemonades were kind of weak not very fruitful or strong in the lemonade aspect but OK. The space is very comfortable and they do have an outside patio where you can enjoy the sun. The service is quite friendly and fast and always with a smile. Highly recommend this place look at the pictures they're delicious. And the downside the bathrooms could be better kept. We were a group of 4 on Sunday there for our first visit. The atmosphere and vibe was upbeat and fun, but rather noisy with several large parties, both inside and out back. Not an issue, just a point of information. Service was friendly and professional, with staff even offering to bring our coffee refills to the table for us. We were not rushed, despite lingering longer than normal. The downfall for us was the food unfortunately. Two ordered crepes with banana, strawberry and Nutella. One of us ordered berry crepes, minus the Nutella, and one the Pacific crepe with fried potatoes. We all expected more than a single crepe, particularly for $12.95. The crepes all around were overcooked, not burned but so crisp that a knife was required to cut them. I love crispy foods, but not a crepe which is intended to be delicate, light and soft. Let's move on to the filling. The fruit inside is merely slightly more than a tablespoon of sliced strawberry and banana for the first two, and sliced strawberry and blueberry for the second. No juice, nothing macerated, not a sauce, just a bit of sliced fruit. The Nutella was so liberally poured over the crepe as to overpower the taste of both the fruit and crepe; waayyyy too much! No one opted for ice cream but the whipped cream was typical, sprayed from a can and not a fresh whip. On to the Pacific crepe at $18.95 for a single crepe. While the crepe itself was again overcooked, the filling was quite tasty. Plentiful salmon, adorned with red onion and capers, and the appropriate amount of cream cheese. It was the best of the bunch. The potatoes were divine with a perfect seasoning and super crunchy on the outside but still soft and moist inside. This was the best part of the meal. This time we ordered 2 and they skimped on the meat. The sandwich wasn't made like before. So that was disappointing. Quite possibly the worst breakfast I have ever had. I had this order delivered otherwise I would have sent it back. I ordered a bagel with tomato, bacon, and cream cheese. The bacon was raw, tasted funny and a tiny mushed piece of tomato was on there. Gross. I also ordered the corn beef hash Benedict. The eggs tasted like vinegar and the corned beef was mush also. Lastly, I ordered the blueberry granola pancakes...I didn't think you could get pancakes so tough they could be used as sponges. I give credit where credit is due. The beach club: it's FAT. Double decker: there's a layer of bacon lettuce and tomato then the second layer is ALL turkey. It also comes with a salad and a choice of house potatoes or fries. I got the house potatoes and they were so good! I usually prefer mine crispy so the fact that they cut them small are perfect for me! And then I always love house salad with vinaigrette. The combo upgraded to French toast: comes with eggs (I think it's 3 eggs, I got them scrambled), a choice of bacon or apple sausage. The French toast was good to me, my boyfriend said they're just regular. The bacon was nice and pretty though and the scrambled eggs were so good! Not sure if they're seasoned at all but however they made it made the eggs taste great and it was a lot. The only complaint I would have is that there is t a French toast combo already, I never understood why it cost more everywhere we go or it doesn't exist but that's okay. We dropped in because the brewery was too full. We were pleasantly surprised to find great service and very good food. My friend had their Apple Salad with Chicken and I had their Fish Tacos. It all tasted delicious and fresh. The only odd thing was that my Fish Tacos came with a side Caesar Salad. I think it would've been much better with a side salad that was more Mexican in nature, maybe with Cotija Cheese and Chipotle Ranch. The portions were decent and prices were good for the value.
