We're obsessed with High Tide's açaí bowls, especially the Kravabowl. Whenever we're in the area we make a point of stopping by for this super fresh, handmade wonder. There's an excellent balance of fruit, goji berries, bee pollen, honey, granola and, oh yeah, açaí. Haven't been coming here so often, so tried it out again last week. Not so impressed with their sandwich this time around. Dry bread, weird tangy taste , and not impressed with the register guy. I ordered just plain turkey with lettuce and mayo, cheddar cheese on sourdough roll. Don't know if it was the roll or the mayo that had the strange tang. Tasted almost like there was mustard on it, but I looked and there wasn't. Left a strange taste in my mouth - and no, I don't have COVID, LOL!! Their granola is one of our faves. Wait time is not long at all. We came quite early so both employee and us as customers were probably just still waking up so there wasn't much of an interaction. Lids and extra spoons are located right outside the hand off/pick up window. There's plenty of seating. We've been coming here when it was "crave a bowl". Not much has changed. It's a great concept but the prices don't justify the quality of product. This a good spot in Morro Bay if everything else is busy and you need a last resort. If you look in the parking lot near the cleaners next door you'll notice a pile of old junk which speaks of the owner(s) not paying attention to detail. High employee turnover as well which speaks of poor ownership. Morro Bay deserves better. read more

We stopped in for a sando and chips and left pleasantly satisfied! Their sandwich and chip selection were unique and plentiful. The kids providing the service were helpful. Pricing was reasonable. Seating on the patio couldn't be better. The vibe was chill. We will definitely be back. read more

Pretty disappointing açaí bowl unfortunately. Wanted something with peanut butter so I ordered the probowl. A size small racks a hefty $15 and an extra $1.50 for any topping. Pretty darn expensive if you ask me. When I tried the bowl it tasted nothing like peanut butter and was very underwhelming. I've had better açaí bowls at Jamba Juice. Save your money and go somewhere with quality açaí for a better price. read more

Whenever I visit SLO, I make a trip to Morro Bay for acai and it's always this place! I love the smooth and thicker texture of the acai here. Great portion sizes and so many different flavors. I also appreciate that they allow you to sub for things in your bowl if you don't like something. Always great service all the times I have visited here. This spot is perfectly set up for the COVID era with plenty of outdoor seating and open concept. I was craving an acai bowl and they have a bunch of great options (and even an option to create your own). I opted for the small Barbie Bowl and it was perfect as a Sunday morning breakfast to accompany my latte. It tasted super fresh and the small size was enough to keep me full for hours. As noted on one of their signs, food can take awhile since everything is made fresh to order. So you gotta be patient. We didn't mind just sitting and waiting outside while taking in the fresh ocean breeze. read more

COVID-19 Great place. Clean. Masks worn by workers. I ordered the Barbie Bowl and the veg out and asked for turkey to be added. The worker was nice. I paid for it and waited and they had great music playing. I waited quite a long time. My sandwich came first and I waited a while longer and got the Barbie bowl. The acai bowl was fresh and really delicious! I got a large to share the other half with my mother and there was plenty to do that. The veg wrap with turkey added was really fresh and delicious! this was called the açaí bowl but now...new owner. menu looks the same but better no doubt. Regardless, "she" ordered the açaí bowl with some berries (it was a purple looking yogurt thing) she loved it, said she should have ordered the small one I'm more conventual, ordering the Beach club on toasted sliced sourdough. Delicious, a sandwich made just the way I'd make it at home. Double the meat of any bought sandwich I've had in a long time shredded lettuce, tomato, all very fresh. My only comment was the pre-cooked thin and small strips of bacon, FYI (Hormel) makes a thicker strips. This was a decent sandwich and worth the price. I threw on a bag of chips and shared a can of tea. the outside tables provided SD (social distancing) the protesters walking past created some additional action and conversation. Quality has really plummeted. We love this place. We don't love the wait, but the food was always worth it. In the past we have gotten açaí bowls and sandwiches and have been nothing but impressed. I visited today, to get a sandwich, prepared to wait 20+ mins for like I had in the past. I wasn't excited for it, but the food was always excellent so I did it. As I was ordering, I noticed there was only one size offered for sandwiches. No big deal, there was always so much food that my husband and I could share a sandwich and often would have some left over. The employee who took my order told me that the one size offered was in between their previous two size choices. I felt comfortable that it would still be enough food. Let me tell you, I paid $14 for a sandwich that legit had 3 pieces of meat on it and was missing the included cheese. The size was definitely not "in-between" their previous two sizes, but add incredibly small. It would be one thing if it was smaller, but still filled with food. It was very sparse and small. We needed two hands to hold the sandwich. It was massive. Now, this fit in the palm of my hand. The wait was quick this time though, but I don't think we will be refunding just based on this huge change. I'm bummed because the ph# listed for their business isn't even a working number. So it's not like I could call and even express this to them. They lost a customer now. read more

I'd been walking for much of the day and craved a sandwich, so I looked across the street and there was High Tide. My wife and I enjoyed our sandwiches and I was refreshed. The shop was lightly staffed but kept up with the customers. Weather was perfect and I was pleased to sit, relax and enjoy my sandwich and beverage. We have purchased coffee. They have a lot of flavors and choices. Our coffees are just strong coffees, half and half and some sweetener. Nothing special there, but they sell a good basic product for a decent price. The staff is helpful and efficient. Odd though, they did not have the artificial fake sweeteners. Maybe they do not use it because it is considered artificial? Anyhow, it is a good place for a hot drink early in the morning. Eh.... I'll start by saying that my açaí bowl was good (the Barbie bowl)! Very yummy! It was topped with sugared coconut which was delicious don't get me wrong, but not what I expected (I usually view açaí as health food). Customer service wasn't the best (I work in food service so I know what it should be like). I didn't even get I "hello" or "what can I get you?" from the cashier girl, as I (smiling and looking at her) walked-up to order. I even said hi to her and I don't think she really responded. I placed my order, a Barbie bowl regular size which cost 13 dollars, then she said "I'll get started on it." Or something like that. So I sat and waited right in view of the kitchen. I felt like I was waiting a while so I looked up and smiled at the girl behind the counter. She saw my look and flatly said "your order's ready and pointed to the left." My bowl had been silently pushed out a little window on the outside of the building. I guess it's my bad for not knowing how the shop runs, but it sure is a weird set up. It would have been nice if they had told me where to get it when I ordered, or at least called from the window when it was done. Not just letting me sit there looking dumb and letting my bowl melt. And that is what happened (it was a little warm when I finally found where it was). 4 stars is too much but 3 is too little being that I've only been here once it wouldn't be fair for me to give a review that bad.
