I absolutely love the Hillside grill! The service is OUTSTANDING and the food is always good. They have a little bit of everything, so there is something for everyone. The gyros and chicken souvlaki are delish, as is the roast beef sandwich and chicken tenders. In fact, I have never tried anything on the menu that I wouldn't order again. Also, as almost every reviewer has mentioned, the service can't be beat. It's like being in the kitchen of an old family friend. Everyone is friendly, and makes you feel so welcomed. I called in and asked a few questions as I have never had food from this place before. I asked if the pastrami was red or black and I was told that it was red pastrami. As I have prepared pastrami many times I know that red is a little fattier/greasier, due to this I asked that it be cooked well and ordered delivery. Also, i was disappointed with the options for cheese, an reluctantly went with american. The delivery was on time and the driver was pleasant, but when I opened my box I was instantly upset. The pastrami was black (also it was the pastrami round cut, which is extremely lean) and very thick cut, which resulted in incredibly tough meat. I threw the entire sandwich out. This place is amazing. Discovered it with my buddy after playing a round at Juniper Hills. The food and service is incredible. You walk in, they take your order at the counter, then they bring it to you at your seat and they take care of everything. The chicken fingers were like none I've ever tried. We travel a lot for sports and depend on Yelp to help us find good dining experiences. Too many times it has failed. But not this time! What a find. We were treated like we were customers for 10 years...part of the family. The food was so fresh and good. Service was amazing. They were very friendly to our 3 kids and gave them complimentary Icee's after a tough soccer game in the heat. The restaurant was spotless. This is a relatively small hole in the wall order at the counter restaurant but I had the BEST roast beef sandwich I've ever had. Home cooked beef, great fries, and a huge salad at very modest prices. Very basic but broad menu. The cook, whom I assume is the owner, was friendly and accommodating. We decided at the 11th hour to have a graduation party for our son. We have enjoyed the hospitality and food at Hillside since it opened. When we inquired about catering our small party, the red carpet was rolled out and we were made to feel like family as we put together the menu. I've been here twice and I'm so impressed with the food. Family run, very welcoming. The fish and chips is so good. I'm not even a fish and chips fan but theirs is so fresh and crispy. The gyro is well done and the roast beef sandwich might be the best I've ever had. Menu consists of some greek specialties as well as traditional pizza shop fair.
