The smells from the smoke, which were faint at this point a week and a half from the fire, were completely gone. I found out about Emergency Home Solutions in a complete happenstance kind of way back in January 2026. My extremely old water kicked the bucket. I initially hired Olson Superior Plumbing because I had used them once before, and purchasing a new water heater through them was the easiest, smoothest process I have ever experienced. All was good in my new water heater world until exactly two weeks later. My upstairs neighbor's water heater leaked heavily down into my closet, right onto my brand-new unit. Luckily, my dog-like ears caught a distant dripping sound at 9:00 PM on a weekend. I was in at total frenzy seeing a sopping wet closet, fearing my new unit was faulty. This was the first time I had to use Olson's 24/7 emergency line, and the woman on duty, Cai, called me right back. She immediately put me on the schedule for the next day. Thankfully, my new water heater was perfect, but the closet, walls and ceiling inside were not because of the severe water damage. There was an urgency for remediation and restoration. Fortunately, Olson Superior Plumbing works side-by-side with a restoration company called Emergency Home Solutions. Olson was extremely helpful in getting me in direct contact with them to fix this urgent situation. Hiring an emergency company on a blind referral is nerve-wracking, but Emergency Home Solutions made it incredibly easy. It turned into a complicated two-month debacle involving insurance claims, water mitigation, and extensive restoration. Cory Bowen, the founder, was one of the most genuine, helpful people I have ever met. He personally came on-site to inspect the damages, mapping out the scope of work clearly and concisely. He lowered my stress significantly by holding my hand through the entire process. If I were to be critical, communication regarding active coordination and scheduling could be slightly improved. Additionally, the billing side needs tightening; they took my final payment quickly but failed to provide a proper invoice or a paid-in-full receipt, which is unacceptable for a business. Our house is 30 years old, like many houses in the area. We wanted to remodel all three of our bathrooms, and I didn't know where to start. I didn't want to hire a designer, so I started off by researching products at Home Depot, Floor & Decor, and the tile stores on College Blvd in Anaheim. After many trips, I was uninspired and still didn't know where to start. There are so many decisions to be made, so many colors, sizes, and considerations about which products will work well together. After seeing many different products (maybe too many) at those stores, I still hadn't come up with any satisfactory designs for my bathrooms. I then thought of Regina's store, where I had bought glass backsplash tiles for our kitchen a while ago. I went to see Regina, and Regina guided me through the whole design process step by step. She gave me exactly the right support to structure my decision-making and helped me come up with designs I loved. With her help, I didn't feel confused or overwhelmed anymore. I followed her advice and got the project moving forward. Now, all three of our bathrooms use products from Regina's store, all of which she helped me select. The tiles are a little more expensive than what you can get from Home Depot and Floor & Decor, but Regina has much better selections and much better quality products! Her prices are also very competitive compared with the other designer tile stores for the exact same products (I checked). Also, during the renovation process, there were times where I needed a couple extra pieces here and there. With one phone call, Regina would order and send the products to our house. Now that the whole project is finally done, everyone is very happy with how everything turned out. We have different color schemes for each bathroom, and the tiles for each bathroom fit so well. At this point, it was getting ridiculous, but I complied, I was trying to help the guy out, and get off his list. Then he starts cussing at me. I blocked him. What a jerk. I'm telling you, I was never anything but kind and helpful to him, the only thing I did "wrong" was ask him for a custom quote (which he never gave me, because he clearly still had no idea what work I'd asked him to do - he only gave me his 3 hour minimum shtick) and later had the courtesy to tell him that I'd hired someone else. Instead of blowing him off. I was nice, and he is throwing four letter words at me. I would find someone else who is more trustworthy, reliable, knows the difference between a computer and a real person, and knows how to treat potential clients. How will he treat you inside your own home??

The difference between Andres's quote with any of the other offers stood out like night and day. First and most importantly, Andres came out and spent over two hours looking at the work to be done, talking with us, and explaining all the possible issues that could come up. He was completely transparent, eager to answer every question we had with clarity and sincerity. Other contractors came out and did a rush job of measuring, threw out some figures and some with more extensive quotes than others, and there was always the possibility of a change order that could substantially increase the price. None of them clearly explained what needed to be done or what might be needed to be done, and none of them used their own staff-everything was hired out to one of their install teams. What made Andres's offer stand out way over any other was that he clearly explained everything that had to be done, or might have to be done, since doing wood flooring can open a number of issues that can crop up along the way. His quote, while slightly above our other offers, was the only all inclusive quote that would not include any change orders-every possible issue was included and he was willing to stick to his quote even if the job had issues along the way. This was especially true for our stairs. Andres also has his own crew and he is on site at the job, not spread thin doing multiple jobs at once. This means he will finish your job on time, and not stretch it out due to another job somewhere else. We were so comfortable with Andres after two visits, we decided to allow him to do the work while we were out of town. If any issues came up, he said he'd call or Facetime or send photos to discuss and explain. We were gone a week and one minor issue came up with the stair installation, which we resolved easily by phone and text. The crew left our home immaculate and clean, as if nobody had been there. They even moved a piano for us without any extra charge. Our neighbors remarked how immaculate and clean they were and covered all our furniture to prevent any work dust from covering things. The work and craftsmanship show in every way, and it's obvious Andres takes great pride in his work. We are extremely pleased with our flooring, and will be eager to hire Andres for other remodel projects.

They even paint and install new baseboards as part of that contract! 2) their one-day turn around time. I couldn't believe that our floors would only take one day to do, but they delivered!! This was a huge benefit for us because we were still living in our home during renos and who wants to be living in an unfinished space for days at a time in dust and yuck. Not me! After we got their quote, we got a few other quotes and Venetian came the most competitively priced and had the best value proposition. They do quality work and they make the process headache free. They started the next week exactly on time. Stephen helped us with picking out colors of stain that would blend the treatments the best, and our stone patio, side concrete and pool coping look tremendous...just like new.
