    Delicious food and wine!

We came here to follow Cast Iron Punk but enjoyed a lovely glass of sparkling wine with my French toast! Nice winery and great restaurant!

I really liked this winery! My family and I were in town for my birthday and I chose this winery for us to check out. The woman helping us was so kind, knowledgeable and recommended some great wines to try! The outdoor seating area is gorgeous and was exactly what I hoped for at a winery. I had a great time year and look forward to returning!

Absolutely love this winery! The service is stellar, and the wine is absolutely amazing (Texas wine), the venue itself has a beautiful aesthetic. Kris, who served us the day we walked in, was absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about all the wines and very, very friendly. We signed up for the wine membership, and we got a wonderful handwritten note from her, welcoming us to the 'flock'. So excited to be supporting such an amazing place! Go check it out!

This was our last stop. We didn't get to enjoy it as much since we didn't want to overstay our welcome. I ordered a glass of Sangiovese. It was good. Dry. My friends ordered a bottle of the orange muscat. They love sweet wine and really liked this one. The server was nice, but did question us a little too long about how much we have had to drink prior to serving us. None of us had that much to drink prior to arriving at this winery, but I guess I understand. It was after 5pm and most people have been drinking all day when in the area.

We liked their "Angry Bird" wine glass icon

We were greeted by a fresh grape odor as we entered their tasting room. Very pleasant odor, and they were busy apparently getting more wine ready. My wife and I enjoyed our glasses of their Orange Muscat. Nice patio seating but the patio vibe needs a little more work: currently undergoing construction. Our server was polite and helpful.

We have a handful of our favorite wineries in the Hill Country and Hilmy ranks at the top of our list next to Ron Yates, Adega Vinho and Siboney. We can appreciate a smaller boutique winery with less crowds. We find it to be a much more enjoyable experience. Also, Hilmy's award winning wines are worth a visit. Reds or whites you will find one you love. I would give this winery a try on your next visit. We had a blast at their True Crime and Wine Event last weekend.

Mine and my boyfriends pick from our wine tasting, one red and one white wine.

Sydney Knight was amazing, she did our wine testing and hit spot on with the wines she let us test, she was very sweet and caring. The view outside was beautiful as well as the inside seating!

So peaceful sitting on the patio!

Great atmosphere! Beautiful back patio to enjoy the delicious wine! The staff is friendly and helpful on wine selection.

This winery has a beautiful patio with views of their vineyard & tasteful furniture! They are super dog friendly and welcomed our crazy 11 month Nola :) Brandy was amazing & all of the staff was super nice and dog friendly. We loved the mixed tasting list but topped it off with orange muscat instead of merlot! Yum so sweet!

Hilmy Cellars is by far my favorite winery in Fredricksburg! My husband and I decided to take a weekend getaway to Fredricksburg to relax from the buzz of the city. One of the things we wanted to do while visiting the Hill Country was to do a winery tour. But for our surprise every winery we visited was full of wild and crazy bachelorette parties (since when did Fredricksburg became Bachelorette Nation?! ). After 5 failed attempts of visiting different vineyards and trying to have a "relaxing" wine tasting experience, my husband found Hilmy Cellars on Yelp and it was PERFECT! Their place is right off the same highway as all of the big wineries, but tour buses don't stop here so keep that in mind. Everything about this place was just so relaxing; from the beautiful vineyard, to the very friendly Great Pyrenees saying hi to everyone and the superb wine. After the tasting, we decided to go for a bottle of their Rose which was amazing!

Wine was great when they first opened but lately it's just ok. Nice staff. Great parking. No issues but we noticed the quality isn't what it use to be. Loved the big white dogs back in the day ... hope they are ok. Amazing photo opportunities.

Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.

My wife expects 5 star resorts and she said this place exceeded the typical 5 star experience. The bedding, linens, amenities were awesome. They had live music and great food and drink options at the head cabin. Every cabin felt private and unique and the babbling creek and ponds along the Creekside were so relaxing to sit by with lots of Adirondack chairs overlooking the creek and rocking chairs on the cabin porches. We also chose this place because they allowed my Australian Shepard to come (only some cabins). The whole experience was amazing and only a 5 minute drive to the main strip. Don't miss a tour of Signor Vineyards, a 10 minute drive West. The most beautiful vineyard and cool experience!

We shared a few bottles of rosé and spent way longer than we planned because the atmosphere was just so inviting. The wine bar is set inside a beautifully restored historic home, with several cozy rooms that make it feel like you're relaxing in someone's stylish living room rather than a typical wine bar. It has such a warm, welcoming vibe. We loved that they also have a piano bar with live music in the evenings, it would be such a fun place to spend an evening! The two stars is NOT for the piano player Pierson Keating, who is great, for whom I would give 5 Stars. For clarification I have had a total of 3 glasses of wine since noon and it's currently 7 o'clock and I am writing this review as I am leaving. I have a strong understanding of TABC rules and regulations, and this question was misplaced and pretty rude. Pierson, the pianist, asked my group to sing a song we requested because he was unsure of the lyrics, then the staff asked the group to sit down.
