Delicious food, good prices and amazing staff!! The inside is small but there's several tables outside to wait at or eat on. Happy to have this new spot so close to home on the south side!

We did a big order to try as many things as possible. Overall pretty tasty. Service was pleasant and quick considering the size of our order. We were there around noon on a Sat and they weren't too busy but a few things we already sold out. Considering the day was still early it would have been better if there weren't sold out items. Onto the food itself. The best was the egg tarts. Will definitely go back just for those whenever we have the craving. The usual suspects like har gow and siu mai were both good. The fried radish cakes were tasty. Weren't a big fan of the steam ribs, too much fat. The bake bbq puffs were very good, but sadly they only had 1 order left when we wanted 2. The beef ballls need more seasoning. Usually there's Worcestershire sauce on the side but it didn't come with any. Luckily had some at home which made it acceptable. Overall a solid take out dim sum place that we'd go again.

The full menu is now all enabled!! I tried the shrimp noodle soup, beef chow mein, and pork spare ribs. Everything was delicious. Service is great here. Customers may need to wait a bit for their food, so just be patient. They are now open 9 am to 7 pm ( Mon to Fri) and 8 am to 8pm on the weekend. The bbq meats are available after 10:30am daily. I've been here a few times already, and my family really enjoys Hing Kee.

LOVE THE NEW DIM SUM SPOT IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!!! It is a quick pickup spot but there are a few outdoor tables and seats. Stopped by but only to grab some Char Siu to make a dried Saimin for a party. BBQ meats available after 10:30!!! I stopped in around 10am but the woman at the counter had them prepare it for me. I stepped away to pick up some other things and came back to it ready for me to pick up. There is a touch screen kiosk to order. Will definitely need to order the rest of the food stuff. Everything looked awesome and we're excited to try. Will be back very soon!

My wife found this place and wanted to come here and try it but I was very disappointed. Went up to the kiosk to order and almost everything was sold out mid day. In the middle of our order the worker refresh the kiosk because the roast pig was in stock. Luckily we only had tree items in the cart and the worker remembered. The inside was very cramp with no seating indoor. But only one area outside with you tables together. A kid came out with the orders calling out the number and I didn't even know she was working there. Ordered the roasted pig and duck and it didn't even come with bok choy instead it came with soggy lettuce. For $13.99 the plate came with double rice and not even that much meat. The duck didn't have that much meat one it. The duck had hair on it still and mostly bones. The roasted pig wasn't super crispy. I overheard some ordered something and it was sold out so they have to get a refund. I know they just recently open but I think they still need some work to do.

Hong Kong style dimsum in Santa Teresa Square (Nob Hill plaza) run by a sweet family. Authentic and handmade, which I would describe as very homey and family style, not like super processed restaurant quality. The food is not too salty and not like mega portions. You can tell it was made with quality ingredients by people who care. Most loved: definitely the BBQ pork and duck expect $6-7 per dish. A little pricier than restaurant but beautifully handmade. Menu highlights: Cheese and beef bun (tastes like an inside out cheeseburger) and black lava bun (tastes like a thick runny custard bun) Unique selling points: the owners really impressed me with their warmth and hardworking family style. They are new and really just trying to sort out a process with the demand so please be patient. Opening hours: Open 8am-8pm almost every day. Avoid the crowds but going after lunch

I've been wanting to check out Hing Kee- came with my parents at around 10:30am. There was a good assortment of traditional dim sum- sui mai, har gow, chicken feet, turnip cake and a lot more. The BBQ meats look flavorful- we got a soy sauce chicken. The foods tasted authentic. It is a take out place with a table on the outside. It got busy pretty quickly. The staff was friendly, but be prepared for a wait to get your food. I will definitely go back. Want to try the noodle soup, rice plates too.

Dim sum offerings (more stuff is in their kitchen)

My 90 year old mom and I came to Hing Kee Dimsum and BBQ at 6033 Snell (drive over a bridge from Blossom Hill Road), based on the wonderful foodie reviews on Instagram, this take out dim sum place really hits the spot if you're hungry and in the mood for dim sum. The staff here are really nice, friendly and helpful, they remember your extensive orders, too! They brought out a couple of items that were steamed on the spot for us, nice! Their phone number is 408-613-2112 if you want to order ahead of time! This take out dim sum has all of the favorite Cantonese dim sum items you would expect, such as BBQ pork buns, har gow (shrimp dumplings), siu mai (shrimp and pork, beef, chicken dumplings), steamed spare ribs, low mai gai (sticky rice in lotus leaf), plus many yummy items: cheese beef buns, steamed custard buns, black gold lava custard buns, taro cake (coming soon), steamed black-eyed pea cake (coming soon), oyster sauce fresh tofu skin roll, beef balls with tangerine peel, shrimp and coriander dumplings, pan-fried scallion buns, traditional Malay sponge cake, Shanghai soup dumplings, ham sui gok (deep fried glutinous dumplings), shrimp and chive dumplings, deep-fried shrimp and tofu skin rolls, shrimp and spinach dumplings, shrimp wonton noodle soup, bed brisket noodles (soup or dry tossed), baked BBQ pork buns, baked BBQ pork puffs, baked pineapple custard buns, spare ribs dry tossed noodles, shrimp wonton, , baked lava custard buns, baked fish fillet buns, baked chicken leg bun, golden shredded shrimp ball's, deep-fried sesame ball's with lava custard, sugar puffs, egg puffs. For the BBQ items, Hing Kee Dimsum &BBQ offers crispy roast duck (which we waited to be baked that day), scallion oil chicken, sour sauce chicken, Macau -style roast pork belly, honey BbQ char siu pork, honey BBaq spare ribs, Yangzhou fried rice, soy sauce fried noodles. They have rice noodles rolls, shrimp rice noodles rolls, BBQ pork rice noodle rolls, mushroom and shredded duck rice noodles rolls, Siri chow mein or rice noodles, cabbage and shredded duck chow mein, beef chow mein or rice noodles, pan-fried turnip bake, cabbage and shredded duck fried rice, prawn fried rice, sesame taro rice cake, pan-fried pork potstickers, cucumber and shredded duck roll, baked pork chop buns, baked Portuguese egg tarts, baked curry beef buns, salt and sweet for crepes, spring rolls (mom's favorite), shrimp and cheese spring rolls, salad prawn toast, mango pomelo sago (delicious), turtle jelly, and coming soon : glutinous rice ball's and snow skin mooncake. You need to try this takeout, you might want to order ahead or be prepared to wait if it's close to lunch time. We ate in the two tables outside while waiting for our whole roast duck. The food was delicious and well worth the wait. They did run out of one item because we came near 1 p.m., but there is a boba shop right next door called Snow Boba, where you can order a milk tea drink, if you need to wait outside before you get your order. There is plenty of parking, it's in the outdoor mall by Nob Hill Foods.

    BBQ pork bun

I really wanted to like this place after seeing so many reviews on Nextdoor, reddit, yelp, etc. Perhaps they may be better known for certain dishes, but I found a lot of their items were hit or miss. Hits for me were the pork siu mai, the oyster sauce tofu skin roll. The misses were the lo mai gai (rice consistency was too sticky and stuck to both the lotus and paper wrapper), the siu mai with the corn (couldn't tell if it was chicken or beef, but the flavor had a strong peppery chestnut flavor somehow), all the baos (dry), beef rice roll (all wrapper, no meat), and egg tart (the custard had a strange chemical taste). The dough for the bbq pork bun and the black gold lava custard bun were both dry, and there was barely enough custard in black gold specialty bun. The ones I thought were okay were the spare ribs, although a bit fatty, the Teochew-style dumplings, and the char siu pork. Unfortunately, I couldn't order half pound sizes, but the char siu was also dry. I wanted this place to do so well that I came back again as I thought the first time may have been a fluke since they were out of so many dishes. Honestly, the second time was only slightly better, but dishes took longer to come out since there was a longer line. While it's nice to have a dim sum place closer to home, and you can tell some of these are made in house, the dishes are missing a certain finesse and quality that you might get in a sit down dim sum restaurant. I will say service was pleasant though, and they were very gracious to explain each of the dishes in the display. Also a warning with the summer heat, the shop front is very small and warm as there food displays take up most of the room and they have a swamp cooler type fan trying to cool things down that takes up a lot of space as well.

Food is great, however the ordering process needs to be more efficient. I'm sure they'll have this resolved as a settle down after a month of operations. As others mentioned, arrived at 11am, found many items sold out. Not a good start.

    Lots of bones, barely meat

I ordered the Three-Item combo rice. Food tasted good but the meat to rice portion is very bad. A lot of rice. Not to mention for the chicken and duck meat, only got the meat near the rib cage. So technically I got little meat and lots of bones. The BQQ pork was very good, just the portion is not so good.

Honey BBQ pork rice plate. Very good flavor pork.

The good: Honey BBQ pork is totally worth it. Very good flavor. And the rice rolls are soft, thin, and silky especially when dipped in the included dipping sauce. The bad: looong wait for the rice rolls, but it's because they make on order. If you have the time to spare, then get it. Scallion chicken rice plate, not as worth the price you pay. Not much meat and a lot of bones =\ mostly rice. Better stick with the BBQ pork rice plate instead. Overall: This is a very new place, barely opened for a week so they should have some grace to work out the kinks. Dim sum items are very tasty and good in general.

Great take-out place that provides authentic food!!! I have tried so many items, and all are so yummy! Absolutely delicious, and the Char siu pastry is my definitely one of my favorites!

Although it's an online menu, we ordered via the server and food was freshly made. The tables are not big and we had to shuffle dishes around. Food quality wise was not that impressive though. We tried: - coke chicken wing: does not taste like coke chicken wing, lacking the fried element on the outside, more like a sweet soy sauce chicken wing - pan fried buns: ok, has juice inside, but some part of the bun was too hard. - regular XLB: tasted ok as there's soup inside. The wrapping can be thinner. - rainbow XLB: the most disappointed dish. They were almost all broken when we tried to pick them up. The pink one I got was curry beef and it just tasted weird. The green one which we presumed is spinach wrapping is actually a veggie XLB. - Garlic noodle with spam and veg: This is the best dish of all. There are slices of soft mushroom, good garlic flavor, we had spam and cabbage added. $13.60 for plain noodle and toppings such as protein and veg are each $2-$3 on top. -Garlic Kale: also good, chopped garlic brought up good flavors and the kale are fresh. -Ube buns: freshly made and not overly sweet, good size and quality, but 4 for $13.5 is not that affordable. Total damage before tips is $104. I think I still prefer Shanghai #1 for pan fried buns and other Shanghainese dishes.

I have not had Fujian fried rice in many years and so trying theirs was was nostalgic. I enjoyed the wetness of the sauce on the fried rice was what I was after. Despite being the only customer present from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, I still had a 30-minute wait as the kitchen was prioritizing a large catering order. The server's sincere apology when the food was finally delivered significantly helped erase that frustration. The BBQ Pork: Very flavorful and not too fatty. However, typically priced around $15.00 to $16.00, I found the portion size to be a bit small for the cost and the wait. Beef Chow Mein: A classic staple that was well-prepared, though I prefer the thicker noodle. General Chicken: a solid choice, just the right amount of seasoning. Gailan: Fresh and a perfect balance to the heavier meat items. Overall, the sincerity of the staff and the food quality made up for the initial logistical hiccups.

I don't know even how to begin this review, because this place was BEYOND AWFUL. We have been here…read moremany times over the years because of our Chinese family friends. First, let's start with cleanliness. The bathroom was disgusting. If this is where the cooks relieve and wash their hands, yikes! Literally a biohazard. Trash overflowing and everything was sticky and the toilets were very dirty. Just yikes. Also if you look at the dining inspection score on the Santa Clara county website, it scored a literal 20/100. This is worse than competitors for kitchen cleanliness. This explains the many food poisoning reviews here. We got served raw food and things that looked a bit spoiled here and luckily we spotted it and didn't get sick. Read the inspection report and it's really disgusting. I'm not sure how this place is still open. I get service at Chinese restaurants serving primarily Chinese immigrants isn't top tier, but this place takes it to the next level in being abysmal. The front desk staff is belligerent and they DO NOT RESPECT YOUR RESERVATION and make you stand outside and wait for up to 30 minutes. This happened to us a couple times. Also if you are an English speaker/non Chinese speaker, the front desk staff only speaks mandarin for the most part so good luck too if you are a Cantonese speaker. They also hold and reserve table numbers for refused to jump the waitlist and reservations. That was just the host staff, the waiters were not better. Waiters were very hard to flag down and sometimes they see you and ignore you because they don't want to serve you and do their job. They also are too busy sometimes and seem overworked so their employer (a very rich duo of brothers) need to treat their employees better and train them better so they have a better attitude for customers. We also had one waiter when cleaning our table poured our water glasses into a bowl then dumped in onto the carpet onto the ground which was a first for me and my family. This was very memorable in a bad way. The environment is also very uncomfortable to dine in. The seating is packed in so tight that it's so loud you can't hear the other people at your table. It's also a fire hazard since several emergency exits were visibly blocked by tables, chairs, or people crowding at the entrance. I've seen reviews here and on Google claiming to have reported the restaurant to the fire marshal. This seems to be true because there were several times the restaurant de densified the dining room before densifying it again weeks later. If a fire broke out, this would be deadly due to exits being blocked and the restaurant being over capacity. This place is just waiting for something really bad to happen. This place is also very expensive and claims to be an elevated authentic dim sum experience targeting Chinese immigrants and ABCs. And it sucks for the price paid given the food, service, and environment (and the literal fire danger they put you in) Finally, as many have complained here, there is a mandatory 18% gratuity and they demand a tip on top of it. They hide it from their menu so you don't find out, but that's illegal in California to hide a mandatory gratuity. Honestly, the gratuity isn't worth it for the nasty service and food anyways. The only have it because the owners know their restaurant is so bad they have to put a gratuity because otherwise people won't pay tips. What a joke of a business, I'm not sure why so many people still support it by singing its praises here and patronizing a restaurant that clearly doesn't care about either its employees or customer.

The Sauteed Turnip Cake in XO Sauce was the dish I liked the most. It could still use more XO sauce, though. Pork & Crab Roe Siu Mai was gigantic; taste was normal. I wished they had chili sauce at the table. We're too busy catching up and didn't bother to flag down someone to get some. The Fried Bean Curd Skin Roll w/ Shrimp was not bad, just a bit oily. The Fried Chinese Donut Wrapped in Rice Noodle w/ Dried Shrimp was on point; it came with a peanut sauce on the side. The Chicken Feet w/ Black Bean Sauce were well cooked and off the bones. The Salted Egg Yolk Lava Black Bun wasn't too sweet; the inside was more runny than we expected. We're already stuffed after having 6 dim sum dishes. Overall, dim sum was solid, but on the more expensive side. While their service was typical for a Chinese restaurant in the Bay Area, they did apply a 16% service charge to the bill automatically, which was stated on their menu.
