    Mongolian Beef
    Jiyoung H.

Mongolian beef was very flavorful & jjamppong (Korean spicy noodle soup with seafood beef & veggies) had a nice spicy kick & good amount of seafood & beef! Also their eggrolls (which we were told are handmade in house) were very crispy! Service was quick and friendly, and ambiance was nice as well.

This review is a bit overdue from 3 weeks ago. The dishes we ordered were all delicious and quite a generous serving. seafood combo, wontons in red pepper oil, and Szechuan Beef. Very clean and nice restaurant setting.

Really didn't expect to find such an amazing Chinese restaurant around here. The Eggplant with Salted Fish & Diced Chicken was incredible--I've only ever had it this good in San Francisco before. The Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs were also fantastic and had the perfect texture. I'll definitely be a regular here!

    03. Mongolian Beef.. it was not very spicy as I requested it...

Here is my two cents on the quality quantities and price of my order. It was delivered by GrubHub quickly and early on time.. they did an excellent job for delivery... I ordered Mongolian beef extra spicy with hot pepper sauce, and soy sauce on the side . Plus I request requested utensils I also request requested and had to buy rice . Let's start with the good stuff... I think it was reasonably priced because they gave lots of beef in the dish, and the beef was very tender... There was equally good amount of green peppers and onions ... Now what I was not happy about. I requested utensils. I also requested hot sauce and soy sauce on the side..I DID NOT GET THEM!! I requested to have my Mongolian beef extra spicy ... .. It was not . I did find 4 dried peppers in the meal, but no seeds came out of them, so the dish was actually very plain.. I thought the dish itself and the quantity was very good! to make sure it's spicy or I have hot sauce on the side made me a unhappy trooper's. .. I definitely would come back to give them a second try but on this order, I was unhappy trooper .

My always favorite:Korean Seafood Noodle Soup,Spicy and extremely delicious it is one of the best asian restaurants in the area, i come here whenever I crave asian foods, service is always great and friendly.

My husband and I tried out one of our local Chinese restaurant. We had stir fry string beans and sizzling seafood with vegetables. The seafood dish was not sizzling but had good flavor. String beans very flavorful. Restaurant is nice and bright, clean. Service was good. Will go back and try other dishes.

The Walnut Shrimp is a must-try! Big Fish is easily my favorite Chinese spot in all of San Jose. Highly recommend!

The Mongolian Beef here has to be the best in the entire Bay Area, and the Orange Chicken is absolutely delicious too. The service and atmosphere are both great--finding Big Fish was such a pleasant surprise![玫瑰]

So this use to be Taste of China for the longest time and so I was very unmotivated to try this new place but tonight I was pleasantly surprised. The owner is such a nice person and so very accommodating. We are all vegetarian and my dad has very specific diet needs and the kitchen was so nice to accommodate us. We ordered various dishes without meat, sub tofu, no garlic and everything still turned out very delicious. It's nice and spacious inside and well lit. They have wonderful lunch specials and also some Chinese items that you're not able to find in south San Jose. Service is a little slow but I think we all know that all restaurants are dealing with staff shortages. So let's all be patient, enjoy each other's company and conversation. And the food. :) Saw a ton of to go business so the locals must really enjoy the take from here. Support your local Chinese small business!!!

On our latest visit we were sitting outside when it started raining. We walked inside and asked to move in since we had already ordered our food. At 9:30 a.m. there were only two other customers inside and plenty of open tables. The person who greeted us said, "Hmm, well I'm not sure... we have a big party coming at 11:30." I looked at my watch and replied, "That's two hours from now and there are lots of tables open right now." We got seated, our food arrived, and then it started raining harder. Instead of quietly moving out the couches to add additional tables and chairs, the staff dragged them all across the floor, creating loud scraping noises the entire time. It made for a really unpleasant dining experience. We asked for a little more coffee, but it never came. We even flagged down our server and she just stared at us blankly as if we had never asked. We eventually just got up and left. The food was good, but it doesn't make up for the terrible service and rude treatment.

From what the manager tells me, this is a big upgrade from the prior place, which was primarily a take out. There has been a lot of remodeling. Although the focus is take out, you can certainly enjoy a meal at the restaurant. It is primarily you order, pay, sit down and the food is brought to you. However, since not everything was operational, I was served by the manager. I had OUTSTANDING service and encouraged them to provide table service for people eating there. Now for the food: Rice, Beans, Plantains, Steak, Chicken, Vegetables and of course the Cheese Cake was fabulous. (I also took some food home to my wife). The kitchen area is right by the tables so you see the Executive Chef prepare the food. (I knew who he was from the picture outside by the door). He was very friendly and answered questions about how the food was prepared. He emphasized that the secret to great food is quality and fresh ingredients. However, once you step inside, you're greeted with an amazing dining experience that far surpasses initial impressions. Ambiance and Decor: The interior is modern and tastefully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A standout feature is the glass wine cellar situated at the center of the restaurant, adding a touch of elegance. Even the restrooms are impeccably clean--a detail that reflects the establishment's commitment to excellence. Cuisine and Menu: While the menu isn't vast, it offers a wide range of options catering to every taste and dietary requirement. The appetizers are generously portioned, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. We started with the Vegetarian Spring Rolls, which included two rolls cut in half--each half the size of a full spring roll at other restaurants. Served with a well-crafted hoisin peanut sauce, the portion was so ample that we took half of it home. The Quails Appetizer was a delightful surprise, arriving as a substantial serving that resembled a main dish. The quail was expertly prepared with a mild teriyaki glaze and accompanied by a fresh side salad. Both appetizers set a high standard for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we ordered the Combination Vermicelli with Prawns and Egg Roll, requesting prawns only. The dish came in a large bowl with a side sauce and was abundant with prawns--enough to satisfy two diners. The highlight was the Salmon Wellington. Presented beautifully, the salmon was wrapped in spinach and encased in crispy puff pastry, resting on a bed of delicious lemon beurre sauce and asparagus. Words can't do justice to how amazing this dish was; we found ourselves using the fresh bread to savor every last bit of the sauce. Again, the portion was generous enough for two. Wine List: The wine list is very good and the prices are very reasonable. Service and Experience: From our seating area, we could view the kitchen through a large window, watching the owner chef work his magic. The service was impeccable throughout the evening. We personally thanked the chef for the incredible experience. Conclusion: The combination of superb service, excellent presentation, inviting ambiance, and reasonable prices made for an unforgettable dining experience. I only wish we had discovered Elements Restaurant sooner. It's perfect for a romantic dinner or special occasion, yet the pricing makes it suitable for any day of the week. Great place for bringing friends and family. I strongly recommend that you visit this amazing gem--don't wait! It's a relatively smaller restaurant and seems to be family run, with friendly staff and good service. Big wine enclosure, a separate bar area. We started out with the quail appetizer, which was a little disappointing. The quail seemed overcooked, which I'd imagine is easy to do with such a small bird, but both the cook and flavor were nothing to write home about. Just too dry. I'm not one who loves to deal with the difficulty of eating something small with minimal meat, but am more than willing to if it's prepared well and tastes great, but this didn't meet either mark. I think a closer to correct cook would have helped a lot. However, the other dishes were very good. The tea flavored duck was prepared VERY well, nice cook and delicately flavored. Liked this one a lot. Some taro there as well for carb/starch lovers - also good. I would definitely order this again. The Salmon Wellington was overall good - I think it could have been a bit more seasoned, but overall, we still enjoyed it. I'd likely not order this again, not because it wasn't good, but I'd want to try other dishes on the menu. The mango panna cotta was overall good. Not special, but solid. We'd come back here again.
