I had the Shrimp Killer Hiroba roll, and it KILLED! It was SO delicious. I ordered several other appetizers because my sister and her family aren't really sushi lovers. They DO like Edamame. You see, I am in Vegas from Milwaukee and wanted some sushi. I looked up "best sushi in Henderson" and Hiroba Sushi was on the list, and it is five minutes from my sister. I ordered take-out: edamame, shrimp tempura, soft-shell crab, chicken teriyaki skewers, and everyone LOVED the food. Greg was SO accommodating on this quaint restaurant's busy Friday night. He told us there was a wait, so we ran some other errands before we circled back. We got back a litttle too early and said, "no worries, we'll wait in the car and come back in shortly." Greg ended up rushing our order and bringing our food to the car. My sister said, "now THAT'S superb customer service." She will be back and so will I the next time I am in town. To be honest, we didn't plan to come here. just randomly we needed place to eat lunch quickly. It turned out, it's not that bad experience! Decor was not my favorite. The servers were unfortunately occupied all the time. so many times the chef in the counter noticed me and make them come eventually... However Surprisingly the quality of the food was good! *NOTE: About a year ago, I left a 5-star review. This was probably before or at the start of change in ownership. My family, friends, and I were loyal customers here for years. Hiroba used to be one of our favorite sushi spots--great portions, consistent food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether we came for lunch, dinner, or discount nights, we always left happy. Unfortunately, since new management took over in the past year, we've watched the experience steadily decline. Our most recent visit on Friday night (April 4th) was the breaking point. We arrived at 8:00 PM and weren't seated until nearly 8:30 despite only two parties ahead of us. Tables sat empty for long stretches while staff slowly bussed them in pieces. Once seated, we placed a very simple order--salad, a California roll, three spicy tuna rolls, miso soup, and rice--and waited almost an hour for the food. Multiple parties seated after us were served before we were. Our server was polite but forgetful, and the manager appeared disengaged most of the night--often standing near the sushi bar rather than helping turn tables or support the overwhelmed staff. When we asked about our order, we were told "I'm not sure why it's taking so long." No apology, no explanation, and nothing done to make it right. Not to mention, our server had chipped nail polish and held the miso bowl at the brim, where customers mouths normally touch. Last I checked, that's a safe food handlers issue. This server seemed new as we'd never seen her before. Having worked many years in the service industry myself, as a server, bartender and several other roles, I know how much good management matters during busy shifts. Unfortunately, this experience felt like a failure of leadership rather than the hardworking staff. It's disappointing to say, but after years of supporting Hiroba, this visit will likely be our last. I've been going to Hiroba for years, and it used to be one of my favorite spots in town. Under new ownership, it's still good, but based on my last experience, I feel like they made some changes that affected the food's taste. I had a seaweed salad and a couple of what were supposed to be spicier rolls. I had to add soy sauce and wasabi to get through the salad, and the rolls didn't have the same kick as they used to. Food is very good here but the wait time is incredibly long. I have been here multiple times and every time we have had to wait 30-40 minutes for order. Additionally, the waiters don't check up on their tables very often. We have found ourselves having to flag down random staff a couple of times. As for the ambiance, there are random papers stacked on counters near food. Overall, I wouldn't go here unless you have all day. read more

This is a hard one. My wife and I came here on Friday the 13th to avoid the Valentine's Day rush. We maybe should have picked another night. Took a little while to get seated, but actually was surprised how fast it was, gauging the crowds. Staff was friendly but hurried. We ordered hot tea and we ordered cucumber salad for my wife and miso for me. Miso came out quick. Cucumber salad, not so much. Was not sure if they were growing it out back. Took about 15-20 min. to get to table and it was huge, however, the wait was so long, my miso was cold. I was raised with manners and there was no way I was eating before my wife. So, yay! Wife Boo! Me. The server apologized for the wait and brought us a complimentary plate of deep fried veggies. Very nice. Thank you. Nice touch. Took forever to get our sushi out to us. We tried a black rice roll. I would not say it was bad. I would not say it is good. I would say, the rice has a strange texture that you do not expect, because you are thinking rice is rice. It is not, but it will not stop us from ordering another black rice roll in the future. Okay, the staff was great. I get the chefs were probably overwhelmed. It was our first experience it was not great. Part of that was we were REALLY hungry and I am writing this after the fact rather than doing it rashly at the table. We got there around 6:50 (according to Waze) we left close to 9pm. Cold miso sucks. Black rice takes getting used to. Very nice for the deep fried veggies and the desert since it was my birthday. Would have liked to have tried the deep fried cheesecake, but we had already been there nearly two hours. My butt was sore and back was on fire and we were not sure how long it would be. Strange thing, they had TVs on and were showing college basketball and the Ice Dogs. The Olympics were on, man! They only come around every four years. I feel like there is a saying, a place that doesn't serve all you can eat always provides better quality fish and ingredients for sushi, as well as presentation, and after dining here I totally get it. I think they updated tables and whatnot, because last time I was here it was a lot more dark inside. This time around they had lighter tables, lanterns hanging from the ceiling, a wall of long time patrons... it felts more welcoming and more homey. Our server was great and the manager Tristan was great, too. I ordered the orange blossom and the rock and roll to split with my mother in law. We both really enjoyed the rolls! They were so good. And the presentation was absolutely stunning. I had never seen orange blossom presented that way! It was gorgeous! Only thing we had an issue was with how long it was taking to bring the sushi out. It felt like every other table was getting theirs sooner than us, even those with groups as big as ours. And every time we would ask, the servers and staff were so nice about it, but we just kept getting told it was backed up, then like 10 minutes later it was "what are you still waiting on?" Went back for our millionth time on Saturday and once again it was FANTASTIC!!! We got to meet the GM, Eddie. What a fun loving guy. My husband & I would go back just to hang out with him. But, obviously the food is delicious. We enjoyed the Orange Blossom, Super Duper, Hiroba 1, Dancing Dragon, Chicken Fried Rice, Screaming O and lots of different Sake. Hiroba Sushi has officially earned a permanent spot on my sushi rotation. Fresh fish, attentive service, and that cozy local-gem vibe that makes you want to stay for "just one more roll." The Crab Trap roll? Unreal. Creamy, crunchy, packed with flavor , easily one of the best specialty rolls in town. I'm also obsessed with the Island Breeze, the black rice adds the perfect nutty touch and somehow makes every bite feel lighter yet richer at the same time. Hiroba sushi is a solid spot in Henderson close to anthem that also is reasonably priced and gives generous portions. The workers are always super friendly and the menu is extensive. The salmon dinner is something I can easily share with another person, and hits the spot with copious amounts of salmon, rice, miso soup, and a salad. Their rolls taste fresh and are well made, and items like ikura and scallop sashimi are also on point. I always can get a spot to sit when I show up, which is surprising with how great they are. Our first plate came out with salmon, scallop, toro, and bluefin tuna nigiri. Although it wasn't as bad as how sad it looked, it definitely was not good. The unagi and vegetable tempura were so-so. Pretty good standard American sushi spot. Got some sashimi and the cuts were all right, obviously not like Japan but pretty on par with any sushi spot you'll find in Vegas. Salmon cuts had some pretty tough and chewy areas. Another fish texture was just off. Super white was delicious and my favorite cut. Presentation was nice. We got 4 black rice rolls. Boyfriend got the lemon roll, mango salmon roll. He seemed to like them. I got the V roll, this was so freaking good, I would come back just for this. DD order. I have loved this place for awhile but the last few months.. the attention to detail has gone downhill. The salsa roll should come with mango salsa and nuts on top. You can see what was received. A few pieces of tomato, 1 tiny piece of mango, no nuts. DON'T order this, so not worth $17. I also called the restaurant to request 1 extra container of ginger. Usually they do well with this but it's the 3rd time now, even with me calling, that I didn't get it. I love the sushi spot so much and I've never had a complaint until last night, Friday, 20 January. I was enjoying my dinner with my boyfriend and I had noticed a table drinking and having a great time which was totally fine until I realized that one of the men drinking at the table was the manager on duty. The only reason I realized this was because after the table left, he was being so rude to his staff, including my server who did a wonderful job and it really caught me off guard. When I left, I had asked who the manager was, and they said his name was Eddie F. Hiroba Sushi: My friends and family's take on this wonderful Japanese Bar and Grill Hiroba is definitely a favorite restaurant among the many communities located in the southwest Henderson. Its extensive and delicious menu selection (using high quality ingredients!!!) of sushi rolls, including black rice rolls, sashimi, bento box, katsu, tempuras, grilled items, noodles and numerous other tasty options. And the portions are generous, so you get great value for a reasonable price! But what is as important as great food and good prices is their service! We've been going there for years and feel like we're family. The service staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and efficient! The warm welcome and attention we get from Eddy, Lek and Gregg is priceless! (Thank you all, we love you!) It's like "Cheers", with a restaurant twist, whether you're a regular or just walking in for the first time. This is a very cozy and friendly place! BTW, there is also plenty of parking. We ate there this weekend and ran into four other (distinctive) parties, who happened to live in our community and were dining at Hiroba too. It really is a neighborhood favorite! We have been coming to Hiroba for years! It is our favorite neighborhood sushi spot The food is great, but ever since the new management has taken over we have not been impressed. We decided to uber eats this evening. The driver got there, she said they couldn't find the order. We placed the order in at 5pm and didn't get our order till 6:35 Eddie, the manager argued with me over the phone over our order. There is not a specific place where we can specify no fish cake so I put a fish allergy and he said that that was the reason why they held off on the order. I am upping my rating of this restaurant to 5 stars. Great tasting food. Great amount of food for the price. Great staff. This place is so popular that it's always crowded. If you order by phone, expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour - but definitely worth the wait. So plan ahead. i think because they are so busy, they have missed a couple of items in my orders before. When I spoke with the Manager - Greg about it, he made sure that everything was corrected perfectly and professionally. He is an excellent manager! Great spot for affordable sushi! I tried the takoyaki, which was pretty solid. Not the best I've ever had but flavor and texture was good. The Japanese lasagne was delicious, as it had my favorite seafood (scallop). It was a baked roll & I would come back here for that. The deep fried roll however was not good. It was very soggy and not crispy, so kind of like soggy tempura covered sushi. Regarding service, it was cooked pretty fast for pickup. The place was spacious and nice for meals with family or friends. Overall, I'd recommend coming here for affordable, decent sushi, but I wouldn't recommend getting their deep fried rolls. read more

Has this place changed owners? I really liked this place but the last few times I have gone I've noticed a change in quality. I got 3 very different rolls, one even had black rice, and they all tasted like nothing. There was also a long hair on one my rolls. There isn't a great system for there to go orders through their website and the food delivery apps. If another lady didn't step in I would have had to go back to my car, grab my phone and show proof I paid by pulling up my bank account cause their receipt that showed I paid was given to the kitchen. This place is very popular. When I call to order, I've gotten used to being told it could take 40-45 minutes. But the food is excellent. I usually order a salmon teriyaki dinner bento. This place has some of the best grilled tasting salmon in the whole area! The tempura is good, and it's great to get an 8-piece spicy tuna roll included with the bento. I've also tried one of their spicy salmon rolls - umai! (Delicious!) And the price for the bento is about $27. That's a great value considering a lot of other places in the area charge more for less food. Staff is always friendly and courteous. There is plenty of parking outside the restaurant. And whenever I go, there's always quite a few customers inside at the tables enjoying their meals. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside. There's an ample amount of tables inside. This place really deserves 5 stars, but I'm doing 4 because sometimes they forget to give me a salad with my order, and the wait time is a bit lengthy (probably because it's so popular and so many people coming and ordering), but the food is worth it.
