    SPICY TUNA RICE BOWL (S)

The store was clean. The service was excellent. There was a great variety of food options to choose from. They even offer vegan ramen choices. I ordered the small spicy tuna bowl, and it was surprisingly filling. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful!

Was craving a warm bowl of ramen with this cold front, so I stopped by Hiro. Friday night, 7pm, no wait (yay!!). I opted for their veggie ramen and added chicken because I wanted to get a big bowl with veggies. It was good ramen. Not great. It was actually lukewarm and not very hot, and the broth was missing flavor. I will say it was a sizable portion. Service was fast.

So far this has been the best ramen I've had in LA. SO good. The pork was perfectly tender, the seasoned egg was so good (always my favorite part), the broth was the perfect consistency and was perfectly savory. Honestly everything about it was wonderful I'm so glad I came here!

Small ramen spot in Pasadena. We got the tonkatsu ramen. Noodles and chashu were great. I like a spicy tonkatsu and added the chili oil which actually just tastes like sesame oil doesn't really add any heat if that's what you're looking for.

The Ramen is one of my favorites. The broth is absolutely delicious and worth it. Just so good Always worth the drive, but the parking is super hard to find sometimes you gotta park a block away The service is amazing very attentive I love how it's very minimal vibes

    SHOYU RAMEN with corn

I've been here a long time ago and finally made a return visit. For parking I usually park in the S Lake lot and walk over. We got seated right away but there was an employee working at the larger 4 person booth and tried to sit the 3 of us at a table with only stool seating which did not look comfortable. Not sure why an employee would take up such valuable real estate and we asked if 2 tables could be pushed together at the booth so that at least some of our party could have that seating. I ordered the shoyu ramen to try something different since I historically always got the tonkotsu one and we shared a bowl of edamame. I added corn but was not happy to see that was an additional $2.30 which is pricey so a small bowl of it. I was not really digging the broth, it tasted almost a little sour and tangy which I didn't like. I did like they had fruit infused water and do service charge as opposed to tip. I think I would come back to retry the tonkotsu cuz I remember enjoying that better. But given I've had really good ramen elsewhere in this area it's why I haven't been back in awhile and this last trip didn't give me the itch to come back.

HiroNori is famous for its ramen. It was one of the hot days and we were near by the place, so we went there. We ordered light dishes, but not Ramen. When we arrived there was no one sitting at the front desk. We entered our name on the screen and were waiting to be seated. No one came! Then a group of young men came after us. They were waiting, then they went in and chose their table. We followed them. It took a while until we had a waiter at our table to take our order. We got the following; -Cucumber Crab salad 4/5 -Eel tempura bun 5/5 Steamed bun, tempura eel, pickled onions, and cucumbers. The eel bun was flavorful. -Vegan gyoza 3/5 It was crispy but oily. -Large pork rice bowl 5/5 pork chashu slices, rice, spinach, green onion, with poached egg. The amount was generous. It was the highlight of the meal. -Small salmon poke bowl 3/5 Salmon, quinoa, rice & kale. The amount of rice was huge but the bowl had lack of flavor. The service was slow. We didn't see any waiter at our table to fill our cups with water or ask us if we need anything. We had leftover, and I was looking for a waiter to ask for a box. They were busy chatting in the kitchen. The Gratuity service was 17% and it was hiddenly included. Stopping here was a mistake and I don't think I will repeat it.

Came here with my partner for a dinner date and we had such a great experience! It was a quiet evening and we were seated right away. This was my second visit and my partner's first, so I was really excited to come back and order the Shoyu Ramen again. The broth is rich, flavorful, and delicious--I could honestly just drink it on its own. I'm not the biggest fan of the meat in that specific ramen, but the broth more than makes up for it. My partner ordered the Chicken Ramen and the Tonkotsu Ramen. He really enjoyed both, especially the meat in his ramen compared to mine. The crispy chicken stood out--it was extra crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and super fresh. I love it with the sauce, while my partner preferred it without--either way, it was amazing! Service was wonderful. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. They serve fruit-infused water (watermelon, mint, and lemon), but since I'm not a fan of watermelon or mint in water, I asked for plain tap water. Without hesitation, the server brought it right away, which I really appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this spot! The food is flavorful, the service is great, and the location is perfect--it's in a walkable area with lots of shops nearby, making it an ideal date night spot.

Not sure what happened to my original review but recently went back for lunch on a Friday. This was only the second time I've dined here. The restaurant was fairly full as it was lunch time. A friend and I both opted for the shoyu ramen which came out fairly quickly. Flavor of the broth was good and the char siu was tender and flavorful. Only complaint was with the noodles which was a bit overcooked in my opinion. Honestly just a personal preference as I like my noodles a bit firmer. The egg was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Service was good and appreciated the waitress pointing out the fact they include a "health" fee on the bill. Patrons can opt out if they don't agree with the extra charge. I didn't keep the bill but thought I saw 17.5%?

The first time I had HiroNori was a few years ago when I worked a block away. I was blown away by how rich and flavorful the broth was and it had soon become a favorite ramen spot. Fast forward to 2025, I stopped by for a late lunch and ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. Years later, it still hits the spot. I still found the broth to be super rich and comforting, the pork chashu tender and perfectly fatty with all the flavors working wonderfully. Service was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant had a much more quiet vibe since it was after normal lunch time. It's great to see that the quality hasn't changed over the years. I still highly recommend.

Yet another Hironori location has popped up and I couldn't be more excited for it! I think this is the sixth location I've visited and this place has a beautiful exterior. The quality of the ramen is still just as spectacular and I love that they actually separated the salad dressing for the to go combo bowl I ordered as others do not do that. The only thing I wish this location had was the branded Hironori to go bowls, but that wasn't a major issue. Garlic portion was pretty decent and so was the broth. I also felt that the chicken bowl portion was quite generous! Overall, I will always recommend my favorite ramen shop in CA. :) (20/50--2025)

Shoyu Ramen with garlic, house spicy sauce, and black garlic oil
    Linda L.

A solid bowl of ramen! The ramen menu is pretty simple with a tonkotsu, shoyu, vegan, and a dipping ramen. I tried the shoyu ramen and enjoyed it very much! The broth was tasty and the extra charge for the black garlic oil elevated the ramen. It gave it that extra umami flavor! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The space is nice and clean, lots of seating.

We tried the yuzu shio ramen and the karaage chicken curry rice bowl. The yuzu shio ramen was definitely lighter and more citrusy because of the yuzu, which I can appreciate, though it wasn't necessarily my preferred ramen flavor profile. I ordered it with chicken instead of pork, and I really appreciated that the karaage chicken came on the side so it stayed crispy and didn't get soggy in the broth. My partner really enjoyed the karaage chicken curry rice bowl. We also tried the tamagoyaki appetizer for the first time. Interesting flavor profile, but honestly it didn't really pair well with the rest of what we ordered, so we ended up taking most of it home and never really finishing it. Service was attentive and good, and the restaurant had a lively, active atmosphere with a steady crowd inside. Overall, a solid ramen place that's worth trying, especially if you enjoy lighter ramen styles.

Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

I had a weekend dinner at Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle with our group of four back in March 2025. The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

HAKATA SET (Your choice of: Tonkotsu or Miso Ramen, comes with Mini Spicy Tuna Don, Chicken Karaage 2 pcs, Tsukemono) This was one of the set items for the lunch special. Chose the miso ramen. The miso ramen had a very strong white miso flavor. Didn't hate it, as I do love miso, but it was a little too much miso for my liking. Typical curly ramen and it was cooked well. Loved the jammy egg too. It was a soy marinated egg. There were also three pieces of chashu too! It was good, but slightly overcooked. The portion of the ramen was medium sized and was surprised they didn't bring a smaller size since it was a set meal. But happy they were generous! Spicy tuna don was a small bowl, but they gave a good portion of spicy tuna, which was delicious. Chicken karaage were two pieces of chicken and it was just okay. No tsukemono was served with the meal. Overall the meal was satisfying. I think the price was fair for what was given. CUSTOMER SERVICE Good, friendly and attentive customer service. No complaints! AMBIANCE / TABLES + SEATS Very calm and relaxing ambiance. It was quiet and no music was playing, which I liked. The restaurant was super clean and I liked how the tables were set. Large tables in the back and small tables were closer to the front. Bar seats on the side. It was a medium-sized restaurant, but the layout made it feel larger. Clean bathroom too. PARKING The closest and most logical parking spot was the one right across from the restaurant. School House Garage on 33 E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91105. Rates: $1.00 first 2 hrs, $2.00 for each additional hour. $12 for the full day. I liked the set menu, it was good for the price and I would like to return to try their other lunch menu items, whether it would be a set menu or a la carte.

Shabu is fresh, delicious and authentic. The Kurobuta Pork Loin is very lean and tasty. The Black Angus Ribeye also very nice. Their ponzu has something else added but really nice. Not sure if it had a dash of sake but love their ponzu sauce. Lunch time at counter for shabu fills up quickly so be ready to wait in line if all shabu stations are occupied. Still worth the wait. Once seated, you'll get served fairly quickly. Excellent and very friendly service. Love our initial experience here. Definitely will be back. Happy Eating!!!

The first time was for their 13th anniversary tuna bowl special and it was honestly one of the best tuna bowls I've had in a while. The restaurant has both an indoor dining area and outdoor patio, so it felt relatively spacious. The ambiance leans more on the upscale side. I would recommend parking at the Delacey parking structure for reliable and affordable parking (it's around an 8 minute walk). There was about a 10-20 minute wait after we arrived and the staff was very attentive throughout the entire experience. 1. Tuna Bowl: Their once a year anniversary special ($13 for their 13th anniversary), and this might've been my favorite dish I've had here. The cuts of tuna were incredibly fresh. The toro was thick-cut with a melt in your mouth texture. The sushi rice was also cooked and seasoned perfectly, which added a really nice touch to the dish. I would order this any time if it were on the regular menu! 2. Sushi lunch set with negitoro hand roll and miso soup: A solid lunch set with a variety of sushi that was all very fresh. Loved the negitoro hand roll as well! 3. Salmon & Ikura Don: Got this as part of their $18 lunch special for June 2026, which came with miso soup on the side. The salmon and ikura were very fresh and paired perfectly with the sushi rice. Would definitely come back again to try their other dishes!

The noodles came with plenty of chicken, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and of course, knife-cut, hand-pulled noodles. The dish had quite a kick. They went heavy on the Szechuan peppercorn, and my mouth was tingling during all of dinner! The chicken was tender, and the noodles were fresh and perfectly chewy. But in my opinion, there were just too many onions! I felt like I had to dig through onions to find the noodles. The scallion pancakes were delicious. They came out hot and perfectly crispy. The service was also great. The staff was friendly and kept my glass of water full.
