I didn't want to argue over a small amount of money but the dishonesty is sickening especially since many of their customers are vulnerable seniors. The same day, I emailed their business directly asking them to make sure they talk to their staff about charging people the correct amount. They never responded. The ethical behavior of this business is dubious with management completely ignoring customer concerns. It appears that they only care about making a quick buck. What a shame. If you shop at their farmer's markets, make sure you check the correct pricing before paying.

Unlike Hog Island, you generally don't need a reservation to get in, but you might need to wait a bit for a table. There is seating both in the upper area next to Highway 1, or in the back area of the restaurant, closer to the water. Both are perfectly nice to sit at. Depending on where you end up, you may be completely unshielded from the sun, so hats and sunscreen are a must. The food is delicious. Everything is always fresh and local. Raw Tomales Bay oysters, BBQ'ed oysters, various seafood dishes, sandwiches, cheeses, and crab when it's in season. Speaking of crab - a bit of a tangent story here - about five years ago during a weekend in Pt. Reyes, I indulged heavily in crab as well as other shellfish, and quickly developed a severe allergic reaction where my face swelled up beyond recognition. It took a couple of months for the swelling to fully subside. Subsequently, I was diagnosed with a shellfish allergy, which I'm certain was a misdiagnosis (wouldn't be the first time) because I've continued eating shellfish per usual since with no further issues. I believe that particular season there was something with the algae or something else in the water that provoked such a severe reaction. To be safe, I now carry an epi pen, but have thankfully never needed it. And you best believe next time they have crab, we'll be ordering a couple, lol. We had a great time dining outdoors, and the atmosphere is super welcoming for dog owners (there were plenty of pups around). The staff were all incredibly relaxed, friendly, and helpful, which really added to the experience. As for the food, the raw oysters were, as expected, incredibly fresh. We also ordered the clams and a half-dozen grilled oysters, both of which were highlights. We tried two orders of the "tin fish" options--the pickled oysters and the BBQ oysters--but I'd probably skip those next time; they weren't quite our favorite. It felt like the menu might have shrunk, but the core quality is still there. Really wish they add more sun umbrellas, especially for the smaller tables. Since it's entirely outdoor dining, a little extra shade would make the experience much more comfortable on a sunny day.
