Oh Hojas, how it's been a while since I have seen you. I never had anything that had "wow'd" me to really come back. I came by on a Tuesday around 3:30pm with a friend. There were parking spots readily open in the small plaza, but I can see how this parking lot can fill up incredibly fast. The ambiance is cute, creating a modern aesthetic coffee shop. They do have restrooms, and they also have citrus water for pour and grab near the entrance. I ended up ordering a standard iced hazelnut latte. And boy was it sweet. I honestly tasted 0 hazelnut. & that's that I had swirled and mixed the coffee soooooo much to ensure it was mixed right. It tasted like simple syrup, milk and espresso, and for $8, I was disappointed. Unfortunately, the hard truth is after the first 4 sips I told my friend how I did not like the coffee. I order hazelnut lattes readily often to know what a good one tastes like, it's sad to see hojas fall short. Customer service was subpar, the lady at the register felt unwelcoming, and it almost felt like a dirty look, could've been in my head, but I was taken back for sure. I was like dang girl what I do?? Needless to say, I use to keep this place bookmarked a few years ago, but I'm taking it off for now. Ambrosia definitely keeps a more welcoming environment, better coffee and it's not too far away.

As one who loves hojas enough to go daily. Lately it has been such a mess. I order online many times and had to go back in a lot due to items missing. And don't get me started on their crappy cup holders!! No "sorry" will suffice when I need to get my car cleaned from spilled drinks that fall from the bottom of the cup holder.

Hot Lemongrass Bouquet & Stinky Bagel

I've been coming to Hoja's for years! My go to drinks are the Lemongrass Bouquet (hot or iced), House Chai (best chai I've ever had in my life) and Coconut Cold Brew... I believe the owner went to culinary school so I'm not surprised that the food items are tasty as well. I like the Stinky Bagel and the Tuna Sandwich but they have tons of other items and pastries on the menu. This location is probs the best one for parking, but I have been to the San Pedro and have gone to the fried chicken place next to the one in Long Beach. Service can take a bit for beverages if you go during rush hour, but I do recall they use Toast so you can order ahead Online and pick up at the counter. There's ample seating inside, but sometimes the heat is turned up a little too high for my taste in the winter so I'll sit on the patio where there are several tables. They also cater events. I went to a women's tea at Lifted Fellowship church down the street years ago and they served their teas there. If you love tea, cute cafes, supporting local small business and fellow believers, then you should go here!

Placed an order online, bread was hard and black. Extremely burned and spinach missing.

I suggest getting the White Tea Blend! It has creamy yet floral notes and the coconut flavor adds depth. My friend got the Ruby Rose which is on the more citrusy and brighter side, I'd suggest that if you prefer teas similar to hibiscus. My friend raves about this spot and I've enjoyed my drinks both times I've stopped in. They have unique, interesting and elevated takes on tea. I'm not from the area but I'll def be stopping in whenever I'm around!

This place is one of the spots that, whenever I'm back in South Bay, I HAVE to go because I miss it so much and there's nothing like it in the Bay Area! If you're a fan of tea and especially coconut, everything on this menu will be a hit. I'm pretty sure I've tried every single drink here lol but my favorites are the white tea blend, lemongrass bouquet, and their chais. You really can't go wrong with their drinks though, and the food and pastries are also delicious. Shoutout to the workers in the kitchen especially because they do a great job and truly provide for our community. It's always nicely decorated inside and there is outside seating as well, making this the perfect spot for doing work, hanging with a friend, or just stopping by for a treat. Big hojas fan and regular!

    Chefs bagel

Chefs bagel is pretty good and they definitely didn't skimp out on caramel sauce for caramel macchiato if anything they might have put too much, it is more on sweeter end.

Hojas is the perfect place to get a hot coffee and a bite to eat and relax. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food is good. The teas and coffee choices here are great. This is a perfect place to relax and decompress from the daily stresses of life.

This place never disappoints. Can't go wrong with the House Chai or a Tasty Nutty with coconut milk.

This location is much smaller with the most horrid parking spots known to man. & with the traffic on Crenshaw.... Phew good luck. Anyways love my dirty horchata!! My personal favorites are their iced dirty horchata, hot lavender matcha latte, and cinnamon chai croissant. There's usually a tiny chalk board displaying seasonal drinks by the register. I recall having an apple cinnamon cold brew back in the fall over a year ago and really enjoyed it. So take this as a sign to try their experimental bevs that aren't on the traditional menu if you get a chance! The vibe of the shop gives minimalist - nothing flashy about this place, but it's clean and you can even purchase merch from there too. One major con: small, cramped parking lot. For this reason, I'm usually in for a quick pick me up and out.

She was taking and making all the orders by herself with waves of people coming in. Excellent multi tasking skills while maintaining her friendly upbeat composure. I had the ham Serrano sandwich with arugula and cilantro dressing and a drip coffee. Wow. Very tasty. I'm not sure where they get their bread from but it just melts in your mouth. Coffee was great. The very nice thing to see was the employee was wearing gloves while making my food. Thank you for that! And also the sandwich was $7.99!! The only thing I'd say is to get a storage pod. There have been multiple occasions where I come in order and he is very rude. But today was the last straw for me. (Literally) I placed a online order through DoorDash for pick up and I arrive to the shop with nobody inside not a single customer or employee to greet me. I waited a few minutes to see if anyone would come out and nobody did. It was a ghost town until 15 minutes later after I kept asking hello out loud and squeaking my shoes to see if I could summon anyone that he finally came out and I told him hello. I have a DoorDash order and he said name? Ticket.? nothing?? and started walking off and I told them my name and he just got my drink and I told him can. I at least get my straw and threw it at me.
