Was recommended to go to Hole in one by a friend who is a local here! We were staying in Brewster so it was pretty close to get to from 6A. We had to wait for a little bit but the food was well worth the wait! I had the Mountain, which was sausage, bacon, eggs on top of a bacon scallion & cheddar biscuit, topped with sausage gravy and cheddar jack cheese! It was absolutely amazing and a large portion! Heard great things about this place ahead of time and figured we would stop in for breakfast before our 2+ hour ride home. Arrived at about 10:25am on a Monday, waited for about 25 minutes to get seated as there was 4 of us. By the time we got our order in they opened up the lunch menu. Wife and daughter had the rich and creamy hot chocolate with steamed milk, they loved it! Served in BIG mugs with whipped cream! I ordered 1/2 lbs burger with fries and a coke. Asked for it medium and it was cooked perfect, Great Lunch. My daughter ordered the same and enjoyed it with the homemade cooked kettle chips. My wife ordered the hole in one breakfast, more than enough food and really enjoyed it until she found a hair in it towards the middle of her meal. Best breakfast on the cape hands down! You will definitely have to wait, but it's usually under twenty minutes. The prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. I'm not sure why this place doesn't have a 5 star rating on here because they certainly deserve it! Whenever I'm in Cape Cod, we plan our trip around going. I was there about a month ago and we woke up at 5am to drive the 45 minutes to get some corned beef hash and donuts. All of the food here is amazing & the menu contains something for everyone. Beware that the line builds up fast here & there's not much room inside to wait for a table. But, there's a donut shop right inside the door so you can grab a donut while you wait! read more

I truly can't get enough of this place for breakfast it is the best around! They have a really great staff, food, owner and huge portions of everything! I only take some home because I truly can't eat it all but seconds are just as good as the firsts. You may have to wait if you don't get there early in the summer time but it is worth the wait! read more

The signature doughnuts were just OK, But the wraps and fries really made my day. Add in some strange employee comments, A place I'll return to? I say "Nah, gents." Picked up a dozen doughnuts to bring home. They were very large and a great price ($11 for a dozen). However, the cake ones were very dry and the raised ones were very dense. For lunch we got a chicken salad wrap and a southwest chicken wrap. Both were very flavorful and enjoyable. Fries were hot 'n crispy. Guys: eggs benedict served on latkes. I could end my review here. I knew I was going to be in Orleans earlier than I needed to be, so I decided to kill time and look up "best breakfast in Orleans." Hole In One came up, scrolling the menu showed me eggs benedict, and so there I went. (In case you don't read my other reviews, I'm kind of a maniac for eggs benedict). With an amazing use of space, Hole in One manages to have the vibe of a trendy cafe, classic diner, and coffee shop at once. There is an upstairs that looks very nice, but I chose to sit at the counter. Seats are a little low to the ground, and the counter is right by the front door (ie, cold air coming in), but I was wearing my nurse scrubs so I figured this way I looked totes local. Oh wait, I mean, "wicked" local. ;) I'm trying to meet you halfway Massachusetts! Service was fast and friendly. I already knew I was getting the Nanny benedict, which said it was served on a "potato pancake." I was a little worried this meant it would be a limp, soft latke... like the pre-made frozen ones my ex-boyfriend's aunt always made for Hanukkah. But nooo, these were thick and crunchy homemade latkes... like the one my mother makes! They went perfectly with poached eggs (which were also perfect: firm on the outside but still runny once you cut in) and hollandaise (a little more on the oily side, but made up for it by having fantastic flavor). The dish came with a fruit cup on the side, which is how I prefer my benedicts. I mean, you're eating a days worth of calories with the sauce alone, do you really need potatoes on the side? I also got a hot chocolate and a jelly donut. Both were mediocre. Hot chocolate tasted like it was from a machine. Jelly donut didn't seem uber fresh, and the amount of jelly was kind of scanty. I mean, when you get a jelly donut, you're basically saying, "I expect to be an enormous mess by the end of this food interaction." But I ate the donut (while driving no less!) without getting any of it on me. Did I mention they have eggs benedict served on latkes?! I will definitely be going to back to Hole in One soon. I actually kind of just want to get the latkes on their own bcs they were that good. Who would have thought I'd find excellent latkes on the cape? But seriously: eggs benedict. On latkes. Signs of a Good Donut Shop: 1) There's a line. At 8am. On a Sunday. 2) The woman who helped me was friendly. Even though it was 8am. On a Sunday. 3) The array of yummy looking donuts make it difficult to select just 12. 4) You are told that "you bought too many donuts" but then they quickly get eaten up. 5) You want to go back to get another Sour Cream (like an old fashioned) and Boston Cream (loads of cream and chocolate ganache). read more

Any place that has multiple variations of Eggs Benedict is my friend. I had the Eggs Mulligan, which was the corned beef hash version. This kept me full for both breakfast and lunch. The coffee was not the best but not the worst and the service was great. Will def. visit again next time I am in the area and make sure I try the donuts which looked amazing. read more

Growing up a local, The Hole is one of two places you can go in Orleans for reliably good bagels. It is the only place you can go for reliable good bagels AND donuts, so if you're aiming to cover all of your breakfast carb bases, this is surely the place. The ordering system can get backed up if there's a crowd, so it's spotty in the summertime but if you go early enough, you shan't worry. If you go later, you shan't worry either, but pickin's will be notably slim. Myself? I go for the everything with veggie cream cheese or for a classic glazed donut. The breakfast sandwiches are huge, filling and slightly messy so I tend to avoid, but the bagels are good enough that they don't require toasting, and who doesn't love a donut? read more

As we were heading out of the area we stopped in for breakfast to go. Hubs and I ordered breakfast sandwiches, coffee and some doughnuts for later. : ) Well, I didn't wait for the doughnut til later. I ordered this heavenly lil cloud like puffy custard filled pillow of a treat and devoured it quickly. So light, doughy, fresh...YUM YUM..heavy on the gut, but so delish in flavor. Later I ate the breakfast sand; fried egg, bacon, cheese on homemade bread...yum! Everything had such a fresh taste. The bread should have been buttered just to give a lil more flavor to the sandwich. The bacon/cheese was perfect. I would have liked a lil mayor, dijon or something for a little more flavor to the sand. The coffee was perfectly brewed and so fresh! Cute little place in Orleans with handcut donuts and homemade muffins. Their donuts have won awards for being "best on the Cape". A group of us took a break from biking to stop in here for lunch based on a recommendation from a guy on the street. They had a nice, affordable selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches. The sandwiches were really good. Their breakfast menu looked great too. I definitely plan on stopping in here again next time I am on the Cape. read more

Really wanted to like this breakfast place, but the service was slow and wasn't personable. Food seems good, had to change order to go due to length of wait after being seated. Waitress and host didn't seem to care one way or the other (upon entry or exit). Definitely do not recommend for families. read more

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, my honey and I chose to have a donut bar! The Hole in One was AWESOME to work with, especially Dan! What do you people see that I don't see? It wasn't good. The hour wait left us so hungry that my mom went in & bought a doughnut. I didn't like it. Too cakey, no flavor. The hostess was totally clueless & not friendly. Once we were seated, service was just OK, menu was pretty generic, and the food was lackluster. We ordered 3 things that were marked as 'favorites' on the menu, which is even more disconcerting. The Crab Cakes Benedict was the closest to good, but still weren't good. The potatoes that came with the meals were basically over-fried mini french fries, no seasoning. Skip it. read more

We are part time residents on the Cape. One of our routines is to pick up a dozen donuts at Hole In One. We love them and so do our guests. They are larger than most donuts you see. We especially like the sour cream donuts. They sometime run out of some donuts so people arrive early. We have ordered donuts the evening before so they are packaged and ready for us. Their breakfast is terrific too. The Hole In One In Eastham has a coffee shop counter in their store and their Fairway restaurant is attached, where they serve breakfast and dinner. Their Orleans location has the same quality donuts and full breakfast and has lots of tables. We are glad that both locations are open year round. read more

A small town restaurant we biked passed on a sunday and decided to have lunch there! it's a local gem by the main street specialized in house make donuts, hence the name of the restaurant! it's mainly breakfast and brunch place filled w locals, the donuts are huge! we tried a coconut, it was moist and fluffy! not overtly sweet. we had steak and fries sandwich and chicken burger, let's just say i'll definitely order the steak and fries again but not chicken burger! waitress were friendly and attentive, seatings were comfortable, they also have 2nd floor which was more sunnier, we were seated on the first floor by the cozy corner and perfectly happy! read more

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Don't be deterred by the line out the door...the food is worth the wait. If you really need something fast try some of their baked goods to go. The honey glazed donuts are angelic! Their potato pancakes are dense and rich and delicious, it's worth the calories to get them as a side to your entree. I went with the Garden benedict served with yummy veggies and creamy, amazing hollandaise sauce. Best part is that it's served on homemade bread.
