And everyone explains in their review that Cleveland, the owner, is exceptional and take a different approach to protecting the home from insects. It's all about prevention and reducing ways for insects to invade. He walks you around the property and points out any problem areas, explaining why they're problematic and how he is going to be able to help. Does not try to upsell on unnecessary services. Tremendous customer service. I was not disappointed and the reviews are all accurate about how quick, convenient, professional and friendly Holiday is. Definitely recommend. We signed up for their routine service approximately one year ago and were hesitant to leave a review because they started off so amazing we were sure the service would get worse over time. Boy were we wrong. This company is amazing! Their customer service is excellent and every technician we've had so far has been great (including Leonard who we had today)!! Somehow we developed a roach problem and after attempting to take care of it ourselves we finally gave Holiday Termite a call. The tech was super professional and on time. Their warranty really holds its value - they kept coming out until the problem completely went away. We had used Terminix for years and their service just seemed to decline over the years along with constant turnover of technicians. We found Holiday through yelp reviews and from the initial appointment realized that we wish we would of found them years ago. We just moved into our house in Kingstowne and the previous owner provided an Orkin pest report done a few weeks before we closed...that tech said no signs of any pests (none...not a single one). We move in and the place is infested with spiders and crickets, including the ever present spider-cricket. No joke those things are ridiculous. But those pests weren't the reason I contacted Holiday. About 2 weeks after we moved in, we noticed a couple ants here and there in kitchen near the pantry. No big deal, right? Put out a few traps from Home Depot and problem solved. Not quite. Instead those traps brought out hundreds of ants. I was thoroughly grossed out and immediately started researching pest control companies. Holiday popped up with a lot of great reviews so I went to their website to research some more. Everything looked great so I filled out an online request for. Mind you, this was 8:30pm on a Sunday. By 9pm I had an email from Cleveland saying they had an opening between 8-9am on Monday. What?! Who answers emails on a Sunday night let alone has immediate availability? This company...that's who. Antwain showed up at my house precisely at 8am. I showed him where my little pests were congregating and then we started the search for the nest. Antwain is the bug whisperer. He found the nest in no time, quickly treated the area and then proceeded to treat the rest of my house: kitchen, all of the bathrooms, laundry room and HVAC closet. The price was completely reasonable especially since it comes with a 90 day warranty that includes additional treatments if the first treatment doesn't work. PLUS a free 10 day check up to make sure the treatment is actually working. There really need to be more companies like Holiday with employees like Cleveland and Antwain. read more

Ok made an appointment over the weekend on Friday evening at 7:30 pm. Though they were booked up all on Saturday whey were able to accommodate everything that I wanted for an early Monday morning appointment between 8 and 10. They got their right around 9:10 which is pretty much right in the middle of that window. The person I worked with was an excellent rep, and explained how our Yellow Jacket situation would be resolved over the next 72 hours. With the pricing right where we expected, I was delighted to have our yellow jacket problem resolved so quickly. They were in and out in under 20 minutes and accepted credit cards, which is all you can really ask. I really think they are the best option if you want quick and reliable service. read more

I rarely do yelp reviews but i saw it necessary to do this one. We purchased a home back in December and as of January started noticing mice /rat droppings mostly in our kitchen. I called Cleveland Dixon of Holiday Termite and Pest Control because I didn't feel my parents in Southern Virginia were getting fair treatment. A local company told them they had termites so they gave them an estimate. My parents also received an Orkin estimate. Both estimates were very different. Cleveland referred me to a company closer to my parents. He said he knew they would give an honest and fair estimate. Much to my surprise and my parents relief, this company found my parents didn't have termites after all but water damage. Very responsive, easy to schedule, patient and personable. Anthony came as scheduled and inspected several places around our house. I wasn't sure what exactly we had or where to find... other than it was definitely making noise in the ceiling. (They handle small creatures like mice and bugs--no birds or lurking pumas.) He explained what he was doing and what we should expect. Anthony was not certain but indicated it seemed like small mice. No hard sell. Just this is what I would advise. We took a chance and he put lots of traps out--not just where we heard the noise but all over. He returned as planned about a week later and sure enough, we had critters. We have been with Holiday for over three years and they always provide excellent service. We had a huge issue with camel crickets when we first moved into our home and Holiday came to the rescue and we no longer have an issue. We have a maintenance agreement (which can be cancelled at anytime) and they routinely come to service the house, but if we have any issues in between services a simple phone call will get them back to the house promptly. For example noticed some wood dust under our kitchen cabinets and Holiday came to look at the issue. Leonard Scott (Holiday representative) provided great service in addressing the issue! read more
