Highly disappointed in customer service. We arrive to look at a new travel trailer. We decided that we liked one and put a 1500 deposit down to hold onto the trailer until the purchase deal was complete. We spoke with finance who had us sign a purchase agreement but did not show us the back of the agreement instead just showed us what we wanted to see. We had multiple issues with them about trying to schedule pick up and actually caught salesman Rico in a lie where he stated we had to pick up the trailer by a certain date in order to get the trailer off the lot. I called Frank (manager) where he had no knowledge of Rico saying this and stated that Rico just wanted to get his sale in before the end of the month to reach his quota. Also spoke with Trent (manage) who failed to ever reach back with us regarding our concerns. We ended up going home and calculating the weight and realized that we were not going to be able to tow that trailer. We reached out to Frank again where he told us we would have to forfeit our deposit. They are snakes. We are reaching out to a legal team to help us get our money back. read more

Service department is HORRIBLE! Purchased our travel trailer at the RV show in Houston in February. Had some things that needed to be taken care of when purchased. It is now May 9 th and the items are still not done. This is now the 5th time we came up here to either pick up the trailer or get the items completed. It is one excuse after another. First three times we were told all the items had been taken care of. That was not the case. Last two times they told us the parts were in. Not the case either, parts were never ordered. Beware of this place! They act like they care when you purchase from them (because they want your money) but after that it's a nightmare! read more

While we ended up buying our camper at another place (found one that met more of our needs elsewhere), I had a very pleasant experience with Tom. He was easy going, listened to what we wanted and wasn't pushy. He was knowledgable about what they had on the lot and didn't feed us a bunch of bs. First, let me give you a bit of background about the person who bought the RV. My mother is a woman in her early 50s. She does not take calls from anyone other than the people in her contacts. On top of the, she NEVER checks her Voicemails (last time I checked it for her she had over 135 messages). We arrived here on a Friday and was greeted by her excellent service rep! We viewed the RV talk with some people then we get down to the payment procedure. This is where it all went downhill. The gentleman knew nothing which wasn't an issue since it was never his case in the first place. The form received for the amount needed as final payment in the form of a cashier check was incorrect. Confused the gentlemen went and got his boss. The VP of finance or whatever. THIS WAS ONE OF THE RUDEST PEOPLE EVER. All he had to say was they merely made a mistake, but no he belittles my mother and accused her of trying to get something for free. He kept saying they tried to call her as she was driving away (please see the first paragraph) and that it's her fault she didn't respond (they did not even leave a voicemail).... My mother called her sales rep that day at least three times. Why did he not inform her? Well, he did not know himself! COMMUNICATION was the issue! They screwed up, and the VP of RUDENESS speaks rudely to my mother saying if you don't want the RV you can leave, and they will keep the deposit. THEY are so lucky... so lucky she loved that thing. I would recommend the sales rep IMMEDIATELY. It's not his fault that there is a communication issue. read more

We bought a camper from Holiday world RV back on May 5, over two months later I'm still waiting for my license plates and registration. When I call them they offer no help and just have a bunch of excuses. We really like our camper but I can't legally take it any where. At this point I wish I would have purchased our Roo 23ikss from another company. Do yourself a favor and look on some of the camper forums, you will see what other are saying about this company, I wish I would have done more research on them because I would have stayed clear from them. read more

Criminals!!!! Stay Away!! They will pull your credit after you tell them not to. They will have you sign a form saying you can change your mind but it's a lie!!! They will take your deposit and won't let you negotiate a fair price. They will quote you a higher price in person than what's on the website! And it will be thousands of dollars over the Nada guide retail value. I never signed a purchase contract for the camper they are trying to force on me! They have no legal reason to not refund my deposit, I know this for a legal fact! The finance guy was down right rude and asked me why I wanted to pay cash on something that instantly depreciates!!! Then he walked off. I'll ask you readers, why pay interest on something that instantly depreciates?!!! Stay away from shadey criminals at Holiday World they have NO integrity. I agree with Betsy Z. Beware! Beware! Beware! All was good with when we found the Keystone Sprinter Trailer with Blake. When we went 2 days later to pick up the trailer. We went though the inspection with Alex. The TV would scan any local channels. he said they would get it fixed before we left in the shop. He took us outside and there was a guy on a ladder on the roof of the trailer next to us. He came done and moved the ladder to the rear of that trailer. Will a shop employee was inside of that trailer and dropped the stairs from he inside out and it fell the ends fell on my right neck and shoulder. All they could say was sorry. It hurt like hell and still hurt 3 weeks later. I regained my composer and finished the inspection. Alex made an important point that the chairs to the dinette need to be secured when in motion. He strapped down the one side. When he went to do the other side he pulled the screw hook out of the floor. He laughed and said things happen. He said they would fixed that with the TV. So they pulled the rv back into the shop. we waited another 2 hrs. they hooked our pickup up to it and Christen said they couldn't get the tv to scan tech said he though it was the antenna but not sure. She said they would order a new one it would be here in 2 days. I explained to her that we were relocating to Austin and would need someone to fixed at the rv park. She said she would get with her manager on mon and it would be taken care of. So when we sat the RV up in Austin the screw hook that Alex had pulled out hadnt been fixed. So the chairs were not secured the trip there. So we hadn't heard anything for 4 days . i called and left message for her. Finally I called Blake and he had her call. She said the part was ordered and be here in a week. She asked when do we want to bring the trailer a 4 hr round trip to have it fixed. I explained per our conversation when we left that she said she would get with the manger and would have some one come fixed it. So I again waited for another week and had a recorded call saying antenna had cane in. I left a message and talked to Alex and he said that there were no mobile RV repairs in Austin he even said he had checked on google. I explained that we had been dealing with no TV and wifi since we moved into this trailer and needed to be repaired on site. So finally Andy called and said there were no repair on google. He asked if it was in an RV park and i said yes. He said to ask the park manager if they had rv repair that came to the park. I called and got the info from her and amazingly it was on google also! that was on thurs of last week. Andy told me they would get someone out there and get it fixed and wouldn't cost me anything. So I haven't heard back so i called and was only able to get transferred to service. I finally called Blake and told him what was going on and he said that he would have Andy call me by the end of day yesterday. Well no call from Andy. Finally this afternoon I get a call from Andy saying that we would have to pay for the service call which is $200 and $75 an hr. I explained to him we just bought a brand new $55000 that should not have had a faulty antenna in the 1st place and have been without TV and wifi for over 3 weeks and that was unacceptable. He said he would tell the sales manger and I told him to have him give me a call. I asked his name and he said the sales manager was Mike April. Will I haven't received a call from him yet. I called and talked Keystone RV in IN Customer service. Explained to him what is not working on this band new trailer. He said they are not happy to hear how holiday is taking care of this. He explained that everything is inspected at the plant to make sure everything is working in the unit. He also said when the trailer is delivered at the dealer is supposed to be hooked up and gone though to make sure everything is working before it is put on lot for sale. But obviously that wasn't done in Katy until we need to take it. Blake said we could of left the trailer and had it fixed but if the antenna took 2 weeks to get there were would we have lived in Austin would of been homeless. So I was nice for 3 weeks and we still don't have TV /wifi antenna that works. Plus my Neck and shoulder still hurt from when the their Idiot employee dropping the stairs on me. So buy someplace else sure wish we did!!! You have my number better get this taken care of!!!! read more

Inspection Deception I bought a used travel trailer from Holiday World with promises of everything will work, we guarantee it. I have several things broke on my trailer. The slide outs leak, the toilet took weeks to clear, lights in the kitchen do not work , lights on the awning do not work. The list goes on and on. I must have been told 10-15 times about the "everything will we work " we guarantee while I was with the sales person looking. I was also told my propane bottles would filled, another lie and disappointing service provided by Holiday World. On the first cold night of the season , I had no propane. I needed a trailer rather quickly as I was beginning a home remodel and needed a place to stay on the property. I called and spoke to Bill Markham in sales and told him what I needed. Within 30 minutes I received pictures, prices, descriptions, even walk through videos of four units that fit my description. I was so satisfied with his description and pricing that I reserved the unit over the phone. After an in-person meeting I bought the unit. When I went to pick it up, Mirza in service came out to help get me going. He discovered that my truck had a blown fuse and changed that fuse for me for free! They refused a tip as well which is why I am here. I can't say enough about the service and professionalism at Holiday World of Katy. Props also go out to Frank the Sales Manager for working hard with me, Meashe in Finance for making sure I had great service coverage and Megan who did a great walk through before I left. In may of 2019 my wife and I purchased a Dynamax DX3 motor home from Holiday World of Katy, Texas. This is the first motor home we have purchased and we were looking forward to traveling the country since I had just retired. I am not traditionally a person who makes comments on the internet though I was asked several times by the staff at Holiday World to post comments of my sales experience. Given what has happened since the purchase, I now feel compelled to share my experience. When buying a new motor home, we were not prepared for the number of problems and the length of time it took to resolve them. Our first problem occurred less than 2 hours after I drove the RV off the dealer lot. When I turned on the front cab air conditioner and it did not work, I called the dealer when I got home and they told me to find a Freightliner repair shop and take it there to be looked at. Being brand new, I told the dealer I felt it was their responsibility and not mine to see to the repair. I might add their response to my problem was very different vibe than I had received during the sales process. As I live 4 hours away from the dealership, I eventually brought the RV in 2 weeks later with a list of 12 other items I had discovered that needed to be corrected. This was only the beginning of a list of problems that I have had with the motor home. The last major problem was the bedroom slide would not retract back in. We have only been able to use the RV twice since purchasing it. It has been at the dealership 130 days for repairs during the first 8 months and 11 days that we have owned the RV. During that time I tried twice to speak with a manager about my problems and was promised return calls which never happened. Despite all of the problems we have experienced. Holiday World states this on their website: "Give us a call at any of our locations and we'll get you in and out of the shop in an efficient and timely manner so you can get back to experiencing the freedom that the RV lifestyle provides." That certainly has not been our experience in dealing with Holiday World of Katy. UPDATE: On August 7th, after we posted the preceding comments regarding our motor home purchase/repair experience at Holiday World, we received the following response on August 10th. "Renee, please reach out to us regarding your experience. Tina Wainwright, Customer Service Manager." I find this reply particularly interesting in that only after I hired an attorney to send a letter to Holiday World in December 2019 did I finally receive a call back from a manager who turned out to be Tina Wainwright, the "Customer Service Manager." I spoke with Ms. Wainwright in December 2019 and I asked for a refund of my purchase due to the many problems we have had. Ms. Wainwright apologized to me multiple times and admitted that Holiday World "dropped the ball" regarding their handling of our RV repairs. However, she told me they would not refund my purchase and offered no other solution to my problems other that to let me know Holiday World was not a "storage facility" and they would charge us for all of the time our RV was on their property if we did not come and pick it up after it was finally finished. All of my previously stated concerns seemed to have been quickly forgotten. Their attitude after the sale was completely different than I received during the initial sales process. read more

The purpose of my review is to try to protect another family from purchasing anything from this dealership. What we would actually like to say would take far too much space in a review. We have documented the 4 months of frustration and anger that turned what should have been a great experience into an awful one. My Fleetwood Expedition motor home, which had a list price of $269,000, broke down right after leaving the dealership in heavy Houston traffic. It was 10 days of them refusing to even acknowledge that there was a problem - they said it was not a coach problem, it was a chassis problem and, therefore, not their problem, even though they had just taken our money. After this ten days we called Fleetwood. The next morning we received a call from Holiday World saying they would go ahead and look at it. They finally got the initial problem taken care of, but by that time we had other items that also needed to be repaired. All of the problems were never fully repaired - rather we received excuses and delays. Charles, the service manager, was rude and literally offensive whenever questioned about why something did not get taken care of that he had months to get done. As far as phone calls being returned to you, they simply will not be returned. You are apparently expected to go into the showroom and talk to someone in person. We have also made dozens of phone calls to general managers that were not returned, as well as 5 calls to the owner himself who did not give us the courtesy of a return call. This is not going to get better and it is not going to be fixed. You would be better off going anywhere else in the country to purchase an RV as it is impossible to do worse than this place. We have since looked at the reviews of this company and most of them are bad reviews. But we see three with 5 stars. The wi-fi unit does NOT work, the ac remote control does NOT work, the remote for the stereo does NOT work & I STILL have not been able to unhook my trailer from my truck. They have NO interest in helping you once you have made your purchase. I HIGHLY recommend taking your RV business ELSEWHERE! My husband and I decided we wanted to be full-time RV owners and worked for several weeks with Holiday World to ensure we got the unit that would best suit our living needs. Our salesperson Rachael was awesome; Mario worked with us very closely on financing and Reid did an outstanding job with our walk through. Our warranty is with Grand Design and I am very well aware that it is GD that we need to go through for any issues we encounter. Holiday World is just the agent! I was very hesitant about buying from HW after reading reviews, but there is not an RV dealer in the Houston area with good reviews, so we had to take a chance and hope for the best. We are very happy with our new home and service to date has been stellar! read more

We purchased our Grand Design Reflection on 2/11/15. Out of 150 days of ownership we've had it in our position about 12 days. All the other days it has been at Holiday World in Katy. #1 - getting them to return a phone call is next to impossible. By the time we get the service rep. our level of frustration has skyrocketed, AND then find out the work is not near completion. We have spoke to all powers that be within that location and see no improvements in service! My husband is ready to get rid of it at this point! Not happy campers!!!!! Bought our brand new Montana 5'er from Erik Funk. 5 minutes after we closed the deal, Erik disappeared and we have never heard from him again! Seriously! Also, be sure you know what you are buying and do not rely on these folks to tell you anything. Our unit had the wrong size tires for the weight of the RV and we had to replace the tires ourselves. Also, we paid handsomely for the extended warranty and the RV Priority only to find that most of the time both are useless. Don't waste your money. Wife and I bought a 2018 Montana 3921RL from Michael Grossen at HW Katy. Two factors entered into our purchase Michael's knowledge and his ability to guide us through the huge selection. I'd shopped Alpines and Montana on the internet and with direct visits to three other dealerships and made decision to purchase in Katy. The sales department including Mike the manager were top notch. I paid more for the basic unit then possibly elsewhere but, selection inventory cost money, the delivery of the unit by James Cavnaugh's and Rafael's service lived up the Sale's Departments representation for support after the sale. Didn't fully come off without glitches but everyone sought to make it right! read more

My family and I had an excellent experience with Shane Pavay who was our salesperson. He was very nice and patient, and very knowledgeable as well. Unlike the person that finalized the sale, paperwork-he came to congratulate us on the Taco truck we had just purchased. My daughter and I were blown away by that comment because it was so inappropriate. Someone in the dealership started the rumor that we owned a Taco truck- so we're Latinos and I happen to have a Masters degree from UH in Clearlake and my daughter is studying to be a nurse. It's sad that people are still so bigoted. I've always taught my kids that we need to embrace everyone of all cultures-we have more things in common than different. read more

After purchasing one travel trailer and two motorhomes here you would expect some level of courtesy and a minimal level of service. The last time I tried to book a service appointment for warranty work on my Fleetwood Discovery, I was treated like I was bothering them, specifically the service manager. I actually had to convince him to make an appointment which he pushed out over four months. I am now driving 200 miles to Ancira RV in Boerne, TX even though HW is right around the corner. I let Fleetwood know how bad this place has become and recommended they reconsider HW as a dealer representing their brand. read more

He knows we're not going to buy immediately, but he takes the time to answer all of our questions. He shows us a variety of trailers in different price ranges (both new and used). He LISTENS to us and remembers what we do and don't like about trailers (even if we forget). We will come back to buy from him now and in the future when we upgrade to our next trailer. BEWARE!!!! I looked at an RV on 08/29/19 and I didn't like it so Blake, the salesman suggested I check out another one. It was better but way too much for what I wanted! I decided to wait awhile, but in the meantime he charged my credit card $500 as a hold for the RV! Looks like he needed his quota for the month! A week later I became aware that he made a charge on my card, so I called him. He didn't apologize and offer to credit my account, but instead he just said it appears I was mad at him...I only wanted the credit! He then hung up on me!!! I would not recommend this dealership if you can avoid it. My husband and I were interested in a specific model of RV and asked some questions of the manufacturer online. We were provided answers and the next day got a call from holiday world as they are the closest dealer to us with this particular model. They were reaching out to see if we'd like to come in and take a look at it; that they could have the unit pulled around and plugged in when we arrived. We said yes and were set up with a salesman. He spoke to us in the phone to confirm details. When we arrived our salesman had a list of models that met our criteria ready, including the one we had asked about. I did appreciate he took the time to do that. He was busy and passed us off to another salesman who showed us around. The unit we had inquired about was not pulled around or plugged in so we were a bit disappointed. Fast forward and we go home and start receiving emails from the sales guy who showed us around encouraging us to come back for another look. After the second email my husband and I decided to give it another try in hopes this time we could see the unit hooked up to power. After a couple of attempts to reach our salesperson we finally got in touch and he was no longer working with the company! We were receiving automated emails from his work email when he was no longer employed with the company! My husband called to speak to a manager and was put in touch with some one who is "almost a manager". He was very apologetic and willing to help. We went back and he had the unit plugged in. We were able to hear and feel AC and operate the slides. We were feeling more confident with the dealership again. We finished and our youngest daughter was getting fussy so we were making our exit and our oldest started crying because she didn't want to leave. We stopped to try to calm her and tell her we'd look another day and the receptionist started banging on her desk and yelling "hey" to get or attention. I turned to look and she gestures for us to get out yelling "I can't hear my phone call". Needless to say it was incredibly rude and extremely unprofessional. I understand kids can be loud and we were working on rectifying that situation. She essentially ruined my opinion of the dealership. To think she is who I would see any time I stopped in, she is who I would talk to any time I called to schedule service...I am still blown away by her complete lack of customer service. Moral of the story, definitely not a kid-friendly place. read more
