Amazing coffee, but priced a little higher. But the lady who works it is very nice. The location is very convenient.

I'm visiting Alaska for the first time with my family & cousins. We were about to go dog sledding,…read morebut we arrived a bit early. Decided to stop by this sandwich / pizza place for a quick bite. Our food came out & my cousin requested for ***no olives in her sandwich, but there were olives in it. Then my specialty bacon wrap or whatever they called it came out and there was clearly a piece of hair present in it. I walked over to tell the lady nicely, even pointed it out to her & said, "There is a hair present in my wrap..." She looked at me like I was crazy & replied, "Oh honey... that's bacon..." I pointed CLEARLY to the nasty hair again in my wrap, and she replied the same thing, "Yeah, that's bacon..." Are we looking at the same thing? Because I think she just didn't want to remake my food. So, I did not eat it. The hair present was absolutely gross. Have some better customer service here, especially with people coming from out of town / state... not coming back here.

There's not much in the area so we are happy to have a place to grab a quick for the long car ride. The owner is friendly and prepares the food as you order. It is nothing astonishing but the sandwich was good and cheap tacos as we stopped here on Tuesday (daily special).

This sandwich was good. Mayonnaise and mustard ratio was perfect. They were also very quick and slapping sandwiches together.

Since I was too sick to really do anything, including go to the Yelp Elite event, he took pity on me and we went on a drive around the scenic valley. While we were cruising around we got hungry, so I utilized my Jersey Mike app to pre-order us some dinner, so all my husband had to do was pop in and pick it up. My husband tells me the shop is nicer and bigger than the one in Anchorage... what else is new. The Valley always gets bigger and better. Our sandwiches were made as expected with no errors. I order in Anchorage all the time and this one was exactly the same. I like that dependability. It helps that their cheesesteaks (not Philly- you Alaskan weirdos- I was born in Philly, Philly is a place not a fucking sandwich) are perfect. Since moving to Alaska from Jersey a decade and a half ago, I have been longing for a proper cheesesteak. This is as close as you are going to get, minus the stupid red peppers, which ABSOLUTELY MUST BE OMITTED. They do NOT belong on the sandwhich and ruin the entire flavor profile. Thankfully the app makes it very easy to modify your sandwich to your preferences. What I think is the true proof of the quality of the sandwich is if it needs condiments. This sub does not. I typically drown my cheesesteaks in ketchup. But this sandwich has the perfect balance of cheese and meat, and the meat had an excellent flavor with no gross chewy pieces. I have a really REALLY bad meat aversion, so bad that I was a vegetarian for 5.5 years, because I can't deal with tendons and miscellaneous meat appearances in my meal. But my love of cheesesteaks is literally what brought me back to carnivorous lifestyle. I'd die in a sword death for a proper cheesesteak. And Jersey Mike's has it going on.

Both are packed with flavor. Whether ordering in or ordering to go, keep in mind it takes quite a while--almost 10 to 15 mins--for the staff to make your sandwich, so I wouldn't recommend that you stop here in you're in a hurry because you're not going to get it out fast. In this case, call ahead about 30 mins or so if you're picking up. The prices are a little high, but it's worth the price for the quality of the food you're getting, which I can't say for most restaurants in the present era (2020s for those that are reading this in the 2030s and 2040s, if this platform still exists then lol!) Either way, the quality is HIGH and the flavor factor? HIGH! The Classic Piadina is very fresh tasting and comes with greens. It only comes in one size, so it's a little small for me. Still delicious! The Nonni is a pretty large sandwich, if you're getting the full sandwich. The onions combine with the meat enhances the flavors. The building that Originale is in presents itself as a very quaint and relaxed lunch spot with bright colors and large windows. It's a place you can go to sit and talk with friends. I look forward to trying more of their sandwiches.

I went with the "Favorito," and let's just say, it instantly earned its name. The prosciutto cotto was pure-savory-bliss-melt-in-your-mouth good. And the focaccia- fresh, herby, and perfectly balanced in thickness. It hugged the fillings just right without stealing the show. Also, the tomatoes- I did not expect them to be so buttery and delicious. I may have paused mid-bite to appreciate them. Yes, I'm that person. As a die-hard cheese lover, the little bonus cube of cheese on the side felt like a tiny gift--like the sandwich was giving me a wink and saying, "Hey, I see you." Originale, I'll be back. Probably sooner than I should be.
