This restaurant serves up delicious brunch and breakfast options but falls short in customer service. The restaurant was fairly empty considering this was during brunch hours. It is very spacious and provides two floors of seating. We got seated right away and we were offered a drink menu and also our waitress provided good suggestions from the menu. During our visit we tried the Brunch burgers and Dubai Strawberry cup for dessert. The burgers were cooked to perfection. The waffle instead of bun added a nice touch to the burger. The Dubai cup was also a hit. What was not a hit - the service. We placed our orders for our meal and it took the restaurant over 40 minutes to get our food to us. Our waitress didn't provide an update on what was going on or why the food was taking so long. When we got our food, the fries were cold which is probably because the food was already done and waiting to be served and no one got it. Our waitress didn't seem like she cared about the table or the patrons at the restaurant. We asked about our food a few times and whenever our waitress "checked" on the food, she just walked around the restaurant, not once checking on the food. The whole visit took us about 1.5 hours and majority of that time was waiting on our food and to get our check to pay. 1. Food: presentation is nice. Portions are generous. Food is good. 2. Service: was really good. The wait time on a Sunday was 20 minutes. So, not bad at all. They do use a waitlist system so I was happy about that. 3. It's a bar so not necessary great aesthetics but I enjoyed the large booths and they offer long tables for large parties. We chose to check out Holy Brunch Kc this evening at 6pm. Because it was for a birthday celebration, the birthday person elected the rooftop area. Needless to say, it was pretty humid/hot (not the restaurants fault.) As the sun set and slowly disappeared a slight breeze came by and helped a bit. Our server was very helpful although she was noticeably tired. This could have had something to do with the heat as well. It didn't affect our service until we were wrapping up our meal. It's safe to day she was great to go. For context if needed, we only had a party of 5 so our group was manageable. I ordered the chicken & waffles. I elected to do the tenders which I assumed would come sauced but that wasn't the case when they arrived. We weren't given any silverware so when the food started arriving we were unable to dig in and when my waffles arrived it took another 5-7 minutes for the tenders to come. I wasn't too pleased with that but blamed it on the fact that this location is still fairly new. For me, the waffles were really thick. So thick, I could only eat one piece (part) of the waffles. Had me wondering what batter they used as ice never had waffles of that density. The chicken tenders weren't bad. As we were eating and more people arrived to the rooftop area...or should I say as it got a little later the ambience changed. After a certain time the rooftop becomes 21 and over which was noticeable. We suddenly started smelling weed in the air, conversations got much louder and rowdy at times. Around 8pm we noticed that security was on duty and were glad they started walking through to take note of the crowd. A couple suggestions: I'd make the menus clearer in details. We had to ask a couple of times in pricing for various items. Per the server we were given the gameday menu but there was another menu used for a different part of the day that had the lettuce we needed. Second suggestion is maybe have security start a bit earlier, which may help maintain the ambience of the rooftop area for guest of all ages. I probably won't visit after 6pm again personally. Or Maybe if I do, it will be downstairs and not on the rooftop. Might give the location another try during the morning or lunch hours. And will definitely try a different menu item or two. read more

Wow! I enjoy chicken and waffles as much as the next food lover, but thjs is by far the most innovative take i have personally experienced! The Oreo waffles are thick and fluffy, and not as overbearing as I expected. The Asian zing wings were my fave! I didn't care much for the hot honey wings. The service was great! When we got there it was a beautiful place, everyone was very friendly. We wanted to eat outside on the patio, but once we sat down someone was smoking marijuana so much it was clouding around me so we went back down stairs. My man and I got our food and when he cut into his burger there was a hair in the middle of it!!!! They were very kind and sent it back and made him a new one, but it took 20+ minutes. The waitress was really nice and gave us two strawberry banana puddings which were really good, but over all don't think I'll be back for a while. Holy Brunch! is definitely a fun spot in KC with great vibes. The atmosphere is upbeat and the rooftop seating is spacious with a really cool energy--such a good place to start a Sunday Funday. I found this place on social media, Facebook specifically and once I follow the page, I would see pictures being posted all the time. Never made time to go, but I finally went a couple weeks ago and it was really good, you see the food and don't think about the price, but you can't expect it cheap when the meals are BIG. Myself and 25 of my high school classmates dined at Holy Brunch for our class reunion. It was terrible! Food was terrible, service was terrible and experience was terrible. First, our waitress took forever to take our order. When we finally got our order we didn't have condiments or silverware to eat.. we had to find staff to assist us. The food was subpar. No seasoning at all. Orders were wrong. The staff said to my peer , "You took the wrong order". We responded that you gave him the wrong order. I had to go to the bar and order a Bloody Mary. When it arrived tasted like pepper water. Then the manager accused some of my peers of throwing eggs on his car that is parked on the street below. We are 58 years old. We not buying food and throwing it off the roof! Then he threatened to shut our outing down. We all had enough of the terrible service and experience and was ready to go. The waitress did not give any of us a bill. Just told us what was due. Not sharing with them that the tip was all ready included on the check so they ended up tipping her twice. We waited forever for coffee sitting on totally uncomfortable stools. My coffee finally showed up halfway through the meal, which got cold while we waited for silverware.
