I was a bit intimidated, and wasn't sure if my size would be available. I was greeted upon entry and started browsing. After a few minutes, Palmi came up to me and asked me if I needed any help. I was expecting standard customer service but to my surprise, Palmi went above and beyond with helping me find the right pieces and recommended items that were her personal favorites and as well as items that would work best with my fitness goals. She had a few girls help me as well with grabbing items. They arranged the fitting room for me and it honestly felt like a personalized styling appointment! She even grabbed me a pair of shoes and socks to try on to complete the look and get a feel for the clothes when I'd wear it. While I was in the fitting room, different sales associates came in to hand me new items to try on. Although there were a lot of different things pulled for me, I felt comfortable the entire time and didn't feel like I was being pushed to buy. Since gaining a lot of weight, I've been intimidated to go into clothing stores (especially ones fitness focused). However, Palmi and her team made me feel welcomed, and honestly was a great interaction in starting my fitness journey again. She made a great impact to my day and I truly had a wonderful experience. Very disappointing online pickup experience…read more I went to the Brea Nordstrom Rack on Sunday, August 9 around 1:30 p.m. to pick up an online order. As you walked in, there are two signs advertising "Buy online for fast and easy pickups." Unfortunately, my experience was anything but fast or easy. I asked a cashier where to go for online pickup, and she directed me to a checkout line that extended all the way to the back of the store and appeared to have at least 75 people waiting, most of whom were making regular in-store purchases. I got in line, but remembered that on previous visits there had been an employee specifically handling online pickups. I decided to ask another cashier if someone was handling online orders. She was very kind and understanding and said she would ask the manager, Cynthia. I explained that I was frustrated about having to wait in such a long line just to pick up an order I had already purchased online. I was told I would still need to wait in line because Cynthia would go through the queue and process online orders in order. I said that was completely fine and I returned to the line. I was the second person in line who was there solely for an online pickup. Cynthia left to the back of the store to retrieve our orders. About 10 minutes later, I noticed that she had returned to the register assisting customers in line, yet had both of our online orders sitting in a basket behind her. This is where the experience became especially frustrating. Cynthia walked right past us on her way back to the registers but left us standing in the long checkout line, even though she had already retrieved our orders. I eventually had to ask another employee to get my order so I could leave. Only then did Cynthia take the other customer's order to her, after that customer had also been left waiting in line. I completely understand that stores get busy and employees have a lot to manage. What I don't understand is why customers who had already paid for their orders online were left standing in a huge checkout line when our orders had already been retrieved and were literally sitting behind the register. The cashier who initially helped me was kind and professional, and I appreciate her trying to help. My frustration is specifically with how the manager handled the situation. If Nordstrom Rack advertises "fast and easy pickups," I think customers should reasonably expect an online pickup to be handled differently from a regular purchase checkout. This was neither fast nor easy, and the way the manager handled it made the situation much more frustrating than it needed to be.

The store was pretty decent maintained, clothes were from what I saw all hanging on a hanger or on a shelf (I've been to locations where you see clothes on the floor) Some of the sale items were a really good deal, like basic tees for $10 or less and even graphic and embroidered tees for $15 They have a self checkout area that reminded me so much of how self checkout is in Korea! Side note : (I finally did identify someone who was an employee by going to the fitting room, when I asked him about the return policy, he said something to the effect of "when you buy online, the return policy is..." he paused trying to find the right words, so I helped the poor guy out by jumping in and saying: "a disaster?" he promptly and begrudgingly agreed.) Read on: The "need to knows": prices seem above average to high relative to other stores and relative to what you get... perhaps they are trying to compete with higher end stores...? I am not a huge shopper so I can't really say for sure, hence the reason this fact is not listed as a negative. Sizing is off, not just relative to normal sizes, but even within their own product lines. You really need to try stuff on and not assume a large in product x will fit the same as a large in product y. This is what brings me to the negatives.. The bad: the return policy is vague at best... We purchased online and shipped to store, and of course NOTHING FIT. We had no idea this meant there is absolutely no way to return for a refund. Surely this is stated in some vague return policy section online, but really, what store doesn't allow for a return and why would a client in this day and age think to check that or even fathom a company wouldn't stand by their product? Not only is there no refund but there is also no return for store credit LMAO, yes NO STORE CREDIT even!! What does this mean we asked: you have to find another item for the same price and do a like for like exchange. Guess what? The sizing SUCKS, as noted above, and they did not have ANY of the items we bought online that didn't fit in store for us to just exchange for the size that fit... So we had to wonder around aimlessly for similar priced items to exchange... After about an hour and finally choosing some random overpriced crap we really didint need, as opposed to wasting the $80+ we spent online, we went back to the checkout to try to exchange. The HILARITY continued at this point when our exchange items were like 40 cents Less than the items bought online.. Could we get 40c back? NO Could we just let them keep the 40c? No What could we do? Buy ANOTHER ITEM we don't need and pay the difference. LMAO rufk? So we bought a $6 tote bag from the checkout line and we're out another $5+ as this was basically our lowest cost option. (Not to mention I need another canvas tote like I need a hole in the head) So as we finalized this Ridiculous transaction what does the employee tell us: NOW THIS EXCHANGE IS FINAL SALE!! LMAO.. you gotta be fn kidding me... So after an hour and a half we left with $86 of overpriced items we didn't need and were absolutely stuck with, just lovely. To add to the already unbelievable experience, as my wife and I were dealing with this BS, there was a poor young lady at the checker next to us having essentially the SAME ridiculous conversation... Hers was aggravated further with a gift card or store credit involved which somehow, unsurprisingly, also was causing her purchase to be unreturnable/final sale and not an option to be credited back to her stored value card.. WTF? YEA, AS I SAID IN THE OPENING COMMENT, THATS THE FIRST AND LAST SALE FROM US!
