I had follow up questions about his service visit and diagnostic because what he submitted as the problem ("failure of capacity") to AHS did not seem to match what he told me the actual problem was in person, which was that the ducts were too small for the size of the furnace that we had replaced years ago. He told me during his visit that our furnace, which we had had replaced years ago, was too large for the house size and duct system that we have. That the solution, he told me during his visit, was either to replace the ducts or replace the furnace to a smaller one that would be more appropriately sized to the ducts that we have. But what he submitted to insurance in his report was 'failure of capacity' which is not covered by home warranty. I simply asked him to explain and help me understand how come the issue isn't one of a mismatched system or improper installation and he immediately became defensive, raising his voice at me and talking over me trying to intimidate me. And he still never gave a real answer as to why it was not those issues. He just kept trying to steam roll over me and telling me to take it up with the insurance company. TWICE I had to ask him to lower his voice and stop yelling at me. But he continued on anyway and then hung up on me at the end. Super professional. Even during his service visit he was very rude and dismissive to me and my brother. Especially when trying to learn/understand exactly what the problems were. He was very arrogant and multiple times threw around his 'over 10 years experience' when I brought up that a previous technician told us something different in regards to how old our furnace was. He needs to learn better people skills and not take personal offense to questions. People are allowed to ask questions. Anyway, I have yet to receive an actual copy of the diagnostic report from either this company or American Home Shield (the only way I only found out what the official diagnosis was was from talking to AHS). Sam also yelled at me when I asked if he could please email me a copy of the report saying it's not his responsibility- that AHS should send it, to call them. Which is funny because that's exactly what AHS told me about the service company- so it seems I'm just getting the run around from both companies at this point. And I'm just wasting my time and energy. Sam was the 4th technician we've had come out to our house about our furnace in the past 2 months. No one actually seems to want to really fix the root of the problem and it seems to me that the home warranty company and these service companies are both scammers, working in cahoots. They don't accurately diagnose problems so that the insurance companies get away with not fixing the actual problem and the service companies continue to get their business. Lesson learned. I will also be also writing a poor review and cancelling my membership with American Home shield. The only positive things I can say about this company was that they were on time for the job and the front desk lady on the phone was helpful. That's about it.

Another company will be coming out as they even said the tech was wrong about the plastics caps leaking as there is no way this was the issue and solution.

Brian from Easy Air responded right away. He asked for pictures and after I sent them over, he knew exactly what the issue was. Brian asked me to call him and right away Brian started assisting me over the phone on how to fix the error message on my thermostat. Within minutes, both thermostats were fixed over the phone and we were able to sleep that night. Brian did not charge me for the time he spent on the phone guiding me, for which I'm so grateful. Fast forward to today, I scheduled a time for Brian to come check out our system since the air was not cool enough. He arrived promptly at 8am and was courteous enough to not ring the doorbell in case people were asleep. He came and looked at our HVAC system, diagnosed our issue, and gave us a fair price. Again he did not charge us for the assessment and diagnosis because he knew what we had been through was a lot (mold remediation). Days after I bought the house The inverter stopped working in the middle of summer. I reached out to the previous owner to figure out who installed it and was given Niko's info. It was hard getting Niko to return my calls/texts. He would say that he'd get back to me and it was usually me that had to reach out again. He would never commit to date/time to send a tech out. He said that the schedule was full and he would try to "squeeze me in". I ended up troubleshooting the problem myself which called for a replacement inverter. I passed this info to him and he agreed. I then told him that I was going with another installer who had more availability. I then experienced delays with the 2nd installer because this company ordered the warranty replacement inverter from Solaredge without my knowledge. All that had to be sorted out with the SolarEdge so they could send the replacement to my preferred installer. I don't recommend this company (nor SolarEdge equipment) I felt like a 2nd class customer with this business. Weeks were wasted in this process.
