I never give a 5 star review because that would mean perfection and nothing is perfect. However if I were to rate that high I would give it to US Green Builders. Except for some delays which had to do with COVID-19, I love my new windows and I couldn't be happier. Niko Weissig went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The new windows were installed in one day as well as the indoor insulation. The workers were professional and cleaned up after. I will definitely recommend them and will be contacting Mr Weissig on a few more projects in the near future. read more

Bottom-Line up front: From my experience, this company was unresponsive when it came to warranty work. I had just bought a house with solar panels. Days after I bought the house The inverter stopped working in the middle of summer. I reached out to the previous owner to figure out who installed it and was given Niko's info. It was hard getting Niko to return my calls/texts. He would say that he'd get back to me and it was usually me that had to reach out again. He would never commit to date/time to send a tech out. He said that the schedule was full and he would try to "squeeze me in". I ended up troubleshooting the problem myself which called for a replacement inverter. I passed this info to him and he agreed. I then told him that I was going with another installer who had more availability. I then experienced delays with the 2nd installer because this company ordered the warranty replacement inverter from Solaredge without my knowledge. All that had to be sorted out with the SolarEdge so they could send the replacement to my preferred installer. I don't recommend this company (nor SolarEdge equipment) I felt like a 2nd class customer with this business. Weeks were wasted in this process. read more

I used this company for solar panels, patio cover, and landscaping. The process has been a nightmare. No resolution for a year. The grass and plants are dead due to poor irrigation . The patio cover still has no lights because they never came back. My electricity bill remains over $300. No answers from Niko except he's working with Edison. I feel like I'm dealing with car salesman. The owner Shawn never follows up or calls. He has not come out to visit the site once. Do not use this company. They scam you. read more

Update!!! Since my last post Niko has reached out to me disputing that he did in fact emailed me an estimate back when requested. As I looked I still could not find it. Then it was realized that he had made an honest mistake with my email address and I guess some else received it. Unfortunately too much time had passed to clear this all up ( and I am so glad that we had) so I went with another company. Hmmm I bet you're wondering why 5 star? Well it's because of Niko's character when HE noticed the mistake he had made, his understanding and caring response to me hiring another company. He even offered to be a resource to me. HONESTY, INTEGRITY, PROFESSIONALISM and KINDNESS are worth 10 stars in my book and Niko demonstrated them all. I will definitely be keeping in contact with Niko for a resource and giving them a shot on future bids for my other properties. I look forward to long business relationship. read more

After the utter lack of professionalism in the phone call I just received from these knuckleheads, I would NEVER recommend doing business with them in any way, shape, or form. US Green Builders was amazing. They made the transaction so simple. They kept me up to date the entire time from the application to the final completed project. All work was done in a timely manner and completed before the time they said it would be completed. I was kept in the loop the entire time. Jeremy was very informative and always got right back to me to answer any of my questions. Chynna was always there to answer my phone calls and/or text messages. Solar panels took less then a half day to install and the door and windows they completed the job same day and even took all the old windows to throw away. Thank you guys for all your hard work! Shawn Hunt and his team did a fantastic job with our house. The work he did was back in spring, 2016. I have waited this long to write my review because the 100% financing was done through an agency called Ygrene Energy Fund. You can see my review of them on their Yelp page. I wanted to be sure we were in the clear and free from the effects of this kind of financing. We are. And we're happy. US Green Builders are the good guys. In a world where everyone seems to be out to make a quick buck, it was nice that Shawn took the time to be sure that we were taken care of. This is how you build repeat business through word of mouth. This is how you keep the train moving forward. A lot of folks are in business for the wrong reasons, and don't understand customer relations. Shawn Hunt did a fantastic job. He was personable, returned all our calls, responded to the occasional "moment," and was very customer-care oriented. The work he did for us included a new Owens-Corning Cool Roof, replacement of all the windows in the house with Amerimax dual-paned glass including French doors and a sliding glass door. He enlarged a couple of the window openings to our specifications. He matched a couple uneven window openings at the front of our house. He even covered the front part of our converted garage door with a wall and faux windows. All the work Shawn was directly involved with exceeded expectations. The only issue we had was that he'd hired an outside contractor, Melvin, to handle the patio work. Melvin is an idiot; he and his team did less than shoddy work. I won't go into details. That's pretty much enough said about Melvin. I don't hold that against Shawn because he'd made it known at the outset that the kind of patio we wanted was not something his group would be directly building; he'd need to hire an outside contractor for that as at the time it wasn't his area of expertise. This is the only thing that keeps things at 4 stars. As far as the advertised 100% financing. I would caution everyone to be clear on the fine print. Shawn will explain things to you. Just keep in mind that nothing is free. Also keep in mind that if you use Ygrene, the payments are added to your property tax and the balance shows up as a lien should you try to refinance your home before paying off the loan. This means that you will need to pay off the loan for the home improvements before you can refinance your mortgage. Most lenders will tell you this. Very important to keep this in mind. We were able to circumvent this because our home loan agent was adept at subordinating our Ygrene loan into a HELOC. By doing this we were able to refinance the house and lose the mandatory mortgage insurance from our monthly payment. Go with US Green Builders. read more

I was contacted by Us Green Builders INC on April 2nd 2019 where they talked me into putting a new roof on my home here in Visalia, Ca. We agreed to tear off my old roof and repair anything necessary and put on a new roof that was guaranteed for 30 years. Nico gave me a price of $18,886.00 without ever seeing my roof in person and had me sign the work order via DocuSign. They sent a roofing crew out here the next day and began working on my roof. By saturday april 6th my roof was completly torn off, they left my air conditioning unit on the ground in my front yard put plastic on some of the roof decking and left. I called and left a few messages trying to find out when they were going to come back and complete my roof. I was not contacted by anyone until May 10th when the sales person Nico called me and told me that he was going to charge me an additional $20,000.00 to complete my roof because he didn't know how much work was involved with my roof. I told him I am a senior citizen and a Army Veteran and i cannot afford an additional $20,000. If we knew it would be that expensive we never would have signed up for the roof. I had to reach out to facebook and get some volunteers to help me get my air conditioner back onto my roof because we are reaching the mid 90's in temperature and its miserable inside the home and the company is not completing the roof like we agreed upon. I also have damage to my celling and insulation because we have had several rain storms since they tore off my roof and rain is coming into my attic and inside my home because the roof is not sealed. read more

First of all, my husband and I are extremely satisfied with all aspects of our experience with Us Green Builders, from the initial contact to the meeting with Lucas Gallardo (who by the way was willing to come meet with us on a Sunday morning!), to the installation, finished product and continued customer service we receive from Lucas. If it had not been for Lucas' professional yet personal attention in explaining the product and HERO program option, we would have most likely waited or have gone with another company.
