I have a rental property in the Sunset neighborhood in S.F. My tenants were reporting an unusually high number of ants and silverfish so they asked if we could deal with it. Ants and silverfish aren't uncommon for that neighborhood and all the houses are close together, but to keep the tenants happy I decided to send someone out there. I did the Yelp Quote function which messaged mulitple places in the area. HomeShield Pest Control reached back first and they seemed legit with a number of reviews. They offered a $350 one-time service which would get cheaper per visit if I did a long-term subscription based service. I decided on the one-time. We scheduled an appointment a couple days later, no one else who replied on Yelp could be there any sooner or had a better deal. A technician went and did a lot of spraying, the stuff they used was child and pet safe. I haven't heard anything from my tenants since then, which I hope means they did a good job. read more

He did a very thorough job cleaning existing spiderwebs, sprayed inside and out and was absolutely delightful throughout the visit. Going the extra mile, he helped me put on the air-conditioning cover. I showed him these tiny black bugs that we get in early spring in our bathrooms. He took a photo and within two hours, called to say they were going to send someone out free of charge to look at the insect and if termites would spray for free.
