So I've been with HTPD for 2 years now ever since I purchased my home in a new development. They inject a solution into my walls every 3 months and somewhat clean the cobwebs around the exterior of my home (I saw somewhat because I see cobwebs in certain areas even after their cleaning). I still see a lot of spiders, ants and today, saw a fat roach inside my home. They just treated my home a few weeks back. The solution they inject into my home is supposed to kill these insects. Whatever they are injecting is not working. When I had the ant problem they said they would come and spray inside my house and I didn't want that since I have a pet. Don't walk away from this business. . .RUN AWAY! Do not sign up with them as they do not honor what they say and the service is not great. In my opinion, they are not honest. I had to cancel with them not one or two times, it took three times and they are still billing me for the times they came without my authorization and threatening to send me to collection if I don't pay them for service after I had cancelled my account with them. When I called to speak to the manager he/she was never available. I kept telling the person who answers the phone the situation and she could have cared less.The technician kept coming until I had to talk to him directly on the phone to let him know I had cancelled the service months ago. read more

I was a long time customer and their service was decent but not great. Our house has their proprietary Taexx tubing which is why we engaged with them in the first place. Frequently the technician would show up and hardly do anything (5 min visit) but overall we did not have any major pest issues and we were satisfied. We were also setup on automatic billing to our credit card. Unbeknownst to us, they cancelled our service awhile back (without telling us). Since we were on automatic billing and did not always see the technician when he came, we did not notice for some time. When we called to inquire they claimed that we had called to cancel due to "financial hardship." This was news to us and we never received any communication from Home Team when this event occurred (like many companies do when a major event like cancellation occurs). Come to think of it, wonder why they would never inquire back with us about that event, try to retain us as a customer, etc. In any case this week we had ants (have actually not had any pests for some time) and I called them. Their notes in their system made by an employee who was no longer there (this is what I was told) indicated the above cancellation and I explained to the very nice representative the situation and she agreed to waive their "setup fee" and scheduled a service for this Friday 9/4/15. She also mentioned that what probably happened is that the ex-employee put someone else's note and cancellation on our account by mistake. I had asked about that fee as I considered myself a customer (so did she) and she agreed since THEY had cancelled our account it did not make sense to charge us. I also suggested that they put in some more account level safeguards to ensure that this type of thing does not happen to someone else. At that time I was happy to be a customer again (note had been a long time customer) and was eager to get my pest problem fixed and be back on their service. I signed up for the bi-monthly service, gave her my CC and was happy. A day later we received a call from the technician trying to move our appointment (already scheduled) to next week on Tuesday 9/9 (even though I specifically told them we had ants and spiders and needed help). Today we got a call from Carla (service manager) stating that they would not waive the setup free (recall they already said they would several days ago) and I inquired what that fee was for and again covered the history of our being a customer with them. She seemed pretty disinterested and not accommodating. She said the "fee" was our paying for the service. Not sure that makes sense to me. I thought the bi-monthly service I was signing up for covered the visits. Then she said something about trucks, driving to our visit (don't they do visits on this route already - maybe no more customers in my area), chemicals they would be using, etc. At this point I was starting to hope I could inhale some of those chemicals to calm myself from this experience. I mentioned that they had received many bad reviews on yelp (also asked if she was aware) and stated that I was going to be posting my experiences as she did not seem very interested in keeping me as a customer nor in my sharing my negative experiences. I find it ironic that they answer the phone with "How can I make your day better" and in reality all they have done is make my week awful. I will be calling their corporate office to discuss this with them (Carla did not seem too interested in that either). Read all the other reviews about running! I made the mistake of ignoring their HORRIBLE reviews and working with them again. Save yourself the trouble and find another company. That is what I will be doing! read more

I used their service for 3 years. All of a sudden i stop getting phone calls from the service guy the night before to have me open my front get so the service guy can obtain access to do the service. I also, stop receiving tags left at the door from the service guy when a service has been done. After 3 months, I started to receive bills and I called customer services 3 times and spoke with 3 different ladies. I advised them the situation and explain to them the reason why I do not believe my house was service. I asked them to PLEASE PROVIDE ME SOME PROOF. All 3 ladies indicated they will do some research and call me back. Of course, I never received one phone call back. Two months later I received a collection notice... really for $30, they sent me to collections. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD!!!! read more

I am afraid of all creatures! I have been very pleased with HomeTeam Pest Defense. I really don't see creatures inside my home. When I have had issues in between treatments they came immediately to address my concerns. They are my favorite service provider. read more

I've been using this company for 16 months everything was great until a couple months ago when my Technician Alex moved routes. When I first started the account I clearly stated Saturday's as I work during the week and they wouldn't have access to my backyard. The new tech would call the night before for Thursday and explained I couldn't do it until Saturday or he would just show up on Saturday no call. Now I have not heard from the tech for 2 months but got a past due statement. However the company says the tech says he was there. There is no proof no bill was left at the house so I'm suppose to go on the word of the company that the tech was there. Which means once again I didn't get the full service on the backyard now going on about 5 months. Once you start a contract and explain to the company you are only available on Saturdays and this is agreed upon it shouldn't change. There is no communication what so ever. read more

I wish you could give zero stars or even negative. We were with them for a full year, our contract was up and decided to not continue. Our tech called the night before, which happened to be a Sunday night, who calls late on a Sunday?! I informed him we won't be using their services and to NOT come out. The next day comes I come out and I guess he came by and sprayed and left me a $75 bill. I called immediately and explained the situation and they apologized and told me to please rip the bill up and not to worry. Then 2 weeks late I get a call from them about my outstanding bill, here we go again. I explained to the guy, he put me on hold to speak to a "manager" in which I was informed I was still in a contract. WTF?! If I was still in a contract then they shouldn't be charging me since I paid a year up front. Finally they apologized and told me my account was settled and I didn't owe a thing. Now again I get a bill in the mail for the same service. These people are horrible, unorganized, unprofessional and I would never ever recommend them to anyone. Please find someone else and run far far away from this company. read more
