chicken sandwich combo
Renee S.

I often get the combo to-go here when I'm looking for a guilty pleasure meal The portions are really big and the chicken is super crispy! The buns are very fluffy as well and the mayo and toppings help cut the fattiness of the fried chicken. They cooked the chicken after I ordered so the wait time is pretty long and the french fries are a little bit soggy but I definitely would go back for the chicken! There's a milk tea shop inside the same store so you can grab a drink to pair with the fried chicken!

Best tasting fried chicken

I have been there a few times and always enjoy the food. The fried chicken is always very flavorful, crispy on the outside, and very juicy on the inside. It's just chicken meat with crispy skin. No fat in between. Also, fried chicken croissant sandwich is the BEST in Seattle area. It's a must try!

Okay, well I guess I'm the first...which isn't surprising as they seem to have started their Soft Open a week ago. I kept it simple ordering a 2 piece fried chicken order. It comes with a Cornbread. The combo is about $5 more but depending on what you select for sides and drinks it might not be a good deal. A lot of dishes also are Coming Soon. So bear all that in mind. The chicken has a bit of spiciness to it, which I think is unique when it comes to Fried Chicken. Unfortunately my order was not quite warm enough. So they have to figure out the sweet spot with their warmer to keep the chicken hot enough for enjoyment but not to overcook the chicken. Just as another indicator of how fresh the staff are to everything, I asked for a Cup of Water and they didn't even know that their soda dispenser could just give out water. The placement of said soda dispenser is odd too as it's right by the cash register. Is it self-serve or staff-serve? Hard to know right now. If you're on the same street as Chimac and CAC, there's no option but to improve. So I'll be back in the coming months to look for that progress.

Really great prices for quality fresh fried chicken with a boba place inside as well. The staff was so kind when accidentally giving us spicy instead of non spicy wings and the cornbread was moist and sweet.

This chicken place is mid. I didn't find anything special about it. Wouldn't go back, but it's not bad it's just fine. There are many other places that are better to go. You order through a kiosk, however we wanted extra sauce and he just gave it to us on the house. So great service, thank you dude. You pushed this from a 2.5 to a solid 3, thank you.

the cornbread is BOMB , they make it fresh. The chicken Was real crispy.

The muffin is really tasty and the five dollar meal is a steal. Everything seems to be made fresh

Chicken, ambiance

The food was absolutely amazing and the restaurant had spectacular service. The chicken tasted pretty good and had a nice crisp to it. Would definitely come again with my family!

Amazing chicken that perfectly fried. Had the chicken wrap and tried the chicken drumsticks. service was done directly by the owner Ginny she opened this location about four months ago. Perfect for students attending the University of Washington.

Sweet chili wings and 4 piece fried chicken combo

Okay fried chicken. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything to write home about. Sweet chili wings were nice. No spice just sweet. Fried chicken didn't have any flavor. The corn bread was pretty good. Fries were soggy and bland. Simple but what you want with fast food. The branding for this restaurant is on point. If only their food compared as well. Just kick it up a notch.

It is a small spot (sorta) so you kind of get in where you fit in. We ended up at the bar and honestly it worked out perfectly. Our bartender was friendly, engaging and just made us feel right at home. Another staff member came through at some point and was equally as kind. The service all around was great. Now let me talk about the food because that cabbage had no business being that good. I know that sounds random but it was my favorite thing and I did not see that coming. The mac and cheese was delicious, the fried chicken was really good, and my husband was all about the rice and black eyed peas (surprisingly). I also ordered a non alcoholic drink and even though I cannot remember the name it was really good too. The only minor thing was that one of the items, I think it was the hush puppies or cornbread, came out a little lukewarm. They mentioned it can be hard to keep that particular item hot, and flavor wise it was YUM so it was not a dealbreaker. Everything else comes out fresh as it's cooked so just know timing can vary by dish. It did get crowded toward the end and they politely let us know people were waiting outside. They handled it with so much grace it did not feel uncomfortable at all. I will definitely be back. Already curious about what will be on the menu next time.

This was hands down my favorite meal of my weekend trip. I found this spot through TikTok, and it…read morecame highly recommended. We didn't have a reservation, but after about a 10-minute wait, we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. The seating seems intentionally designed to bring people together, and you could see it in the mix of large groups, couples, and even solo diners. Like the name, it had a "communal" energy that made the space feel alive and intimate. The hostess, bartenders, and our waitress were all phenomenal. They were attentive and easy to talk to. Also, the playlist was good. It really added to the overall experience. We started with the sweet potato hoe cakes, and they were absolutely amazing. I loved the texture. They were soft, pillowy, and balanced. They weren't too sweet, even with the honey butter. I wish I'd ordered more to go because I haven't stopped thinking about them. I'll have to try recreating them at home. For my entree, I ordered the stuffed trout, and this is where things really took off. It's a whole fried trout stuffed with a seafood dressing (shrimp, catfish and oysters), and it immediately caught my eye on the menu. I'm not used to eating whole fish, and I don't think I'd even had trout before, but this dish was mouthwateringly good. The fish was crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The béarnaise sauce really set it off. There were so many layers of flavor and texture, and everything just worked together perfectly. On top of that, the presentation was stunning. I posted it on my Instagram story and immediately had people asking where my food was as from. This meal was very memorable. I have zero notes. The ambiance, food, music, and service were all top-tier. Side note: There is a 5% "communal" surcharge added to every bill. The money is used to support staff benefits, the support staff, and the line cooks. This is separate from the gratuity. This surcharge is clearly explained on the menu, and I really love and appreciate the transparency and that they care about the employees. But yeah. Super good. We love a good meal and we damn near left there skipping.

This is not a review I ever expected to write…read more For a long time, I genuinely enjoyed Vindicktive. I brought friends, family members, colleagues, employees, and business associates here on a regular basis--sometimes multiple times per week. The food, especially the wings, is excellent and one of the main reasons we kept coming back. Unfortunately, the customer service experience became impossible to ignore. What started as an occasional issue eventually became a consistent pattern of feeling unappreciated as customers. The more we supported the business, the more it seemed that basic hospitality, professionalism, and conflict resolution were lacking. Instead of feeling welcomed, many of us began leaving with the impression that our presence was tolerated rather than valued. What is most disappointing is that this isn't based on a single bad interaction. It is the accumulation of experiences over time, involving multiple visits and multiple people from my circle who reached the same conclusion independently. I believe every business has difficult days. Every employee can have an off moment. What separates great businesses from average ones is how they respond when concerns are raised. In my experience, there appears to be very little interest in understanding customer concerns or resolving issues in a way that leaves people feeling respected. As a Seattle business owner myself, I understand how difficult it is to operate in today's economy. That is precisely why customer relationships matter so much. Every customer chooses where to spend their hard-earned money, and every business has a responsibility to make people feel welcomed, appreciated, and respected. The unfortunate reality is that Vindicktive currently feels less like a professionally managed business and more like an environment where personal dynamics often overshadow customer experience. Whether intentional or not, that perception has caused many people in my circle to stop visiting altogether. I take no pleasure in leaving this review. In fact, I delayed writing it for quite some time because I hoped things would improve. The food remains very good, and I genuinely wanted to continue supporting this establishment. My hope is that ownership reads this, not as an attack, but as an opportunity. Great food can bring people through the door, but great service is what keeps them coming back. Until meaningful changes are made, I can no longer recommend Vindicktive to friends, family, colleagues, clients, fellow downtown residents or visitors from abroad visiting for the 2026 World Cup or any other occasion that our great city host in the foreseeable future. 1 Star Review I am an Official Elite Yelper. It also only had 2 kinds of Vietnamese cold cut meats, which I didn't mind, but it needed more in there. There's a super thin layer of mayo and pate I think. Bread was very fresh! I give 3/5 Kimchi fried rice had good kimchi flavor. Portion size was large. 10 piece fried chicken (wings) was good. The skin was way fattier than I would've liked and it could've been fried longer to help melt some of the fat out and make it crunchier. It was super hot, fresh, and juicy though. Radish was free. It came with sauce but only on the side. Personally, I would want to try other korean fried chicken places to compare before coming back here again Waffle fries come with either ranch or ketchup. Large portion sizes! For all we ordered, it was around $55. Great price for the portions and variety imo. Service was outstanding as I mentioned. One older woman worker felt like she was my auntie. She refilled our water and checked in on us despite this being a place where you go up to order.
