We've been wanting to try Cookie's for a while now. We ordered to go and our order was ready when we got there. We got the Bag o' bites, which we loved. The chicken breast pieces were crispy and flavorful even after driving home. We also got a couple of drumsticks and a thigh. Which we also enjoyed. We got classic- not spicy. They have a lot of nice outdoor seating and the indoor seating area has a cute vibe.

There was a long line of people waiting to eat here and if you're a fan of spicy fried chicken I can see why! I think this is one of the best chicken combo deals I've seen and one of the best chicken places in Seattle. You get plenty of fries and a free side with the combo. I recommend the pot of gold if you're a fan of mashed potatoes! However, my friend did find a small hair inside one of her fries and the service was slightly off putting.

We placed a pick-up order for Cookies and wow! It was so good! We are picky about our chicken and finding a high quality chicken tender in our area can be really difficult but thankfully Cookie's nailed it!! We did the half and half bucket with a level 3 spicy for half. The level 3 had good spice and flavor and next time I'll have to try their level 5 ghost pepper. The chicken was well seasoned, crispy, juicy and tender and the fries were super tasty also. The portions are large and both their ranch and the Sunny Sauce were excellent. I highly recommend them for hot, fresh and absolutely delicious chicken and will be back to dine in soon!

Omg so mad that I have not tried this place out sooner! This food is so amazing. I'm a southern Grove from Texas so I know some good fried chicken. The chicken tenders are perfectly fried. I did try mine with no spice. But the fried chicken with the spice at it was phenomenal. They gave you a good portion of everything and some amazing sauces that I added all in like the hot honey (which I can drink from the bottle) and the zesty ranch! The customer service was great. It helps me understand the menu. And upon walking in the space is clean, they have a bar and it's a good vibe .

I've been here twice now and both times have been solid! Their hot honey chicken sandwich was *chef's kiss* This time I got their version of KFC's famous bowl. I was able to mod it 1/2 mash 1/2 mac, which was a super dope option. Also, they gave me a side of fries for free + packed the gravy on the side--A+ service! Place was packed and everyone knows Ballard can be meh when it comes to parking but... try it out one day yall!

Chicken was crispy and juicy. Hot out of the fryer. Service great and the space is clean and spacious.

I was introduced to Cookie's at Ravenna Brewing, when they were doing pop ups. My husband and I were a fan, so we knew we had to get to the brick and mortar. We had visited the Ballard location before they had moved to their new home. Stopped by the new location a few weeks ago. The new location is definitely in the sketchy part of Ballard, but it was nice to have a designated parking lot, rather than trying to find a street spot at the old location! My husband and I both ordered 3 tendies, in cayenne heat (level 2 spicy). Didn't seem spicy enough for my liking, so next time I am going to try the level 3! The chicken is delicious! It's crispy, juicy and flavorful. They offer a lot of sauces to choose from too. Although if you ask me, if you order any spicy level, the chicken doesn't need it! My husband is a dipper though and he likes his sauce. His fave is the Honey Mustard. (I opted for a garlic aioli. I love garlic but it was a little much). Since I was feeling like a comfort side, I selected the potatoes and gravy. (I have also had the fries and the macaroni and cheese). They have a good selection of sides. We love Cookie's chicken!

We were originally planning on getting Korean fried chicken but Cookie's was a spot we were interested in, so changed plans. While I think American fried chicken is similar and difficult to get wrong, it's fair to say Cookie's Country Chicken is a tad above average. Sides also pass the taste test, both the fries and mac were tasty and enhanced the experience. Unfortunately, we did realize we were missing a piece of chicken at the very end. We were starving and eager to eat, so were just enjoying the meal until we got to the end where one of us would get less chicken. Moral of the story is to count chicken before digging in! 12 PC Bucket - as mentioned above, this was 11 pieces for us which is an unfortunate first impression. However, the chicken is made fresh and comes out piping hot. I was literally burning my fingers and mouth. Also pretty tender and juicy. Could maybe use more seasoning on the chicken, but regardless very tasty.

Cookie's Country Chicken has some amazing chicken. The place has a nice vibe and is spacious. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I tried the Barn Burner and Slawsome sandwiches. The real highlight was the variety of dipping sauces they had to go with the chicken. I tried the smokey, sassy, rowdy ranch and habanero ranch, all of which really complimented the chicken sandwiches. The fries were hot and crispy. The mash potatoes and gravy were really delicious too. I definitely want to go here again to try the bone in chicken and the tendies with more sauces.

Wow, this chicken is finger licking good! Chicken is Crispy, moist, flavorful & delicious. The chicken is deep fried with savoring dredge coating every part of the bird ! As soon as I reviewed the menu I knew southern cooking was coming to my palette. I ordered a few drumsticks , small chicken nuggets and the " Pot Of Gold " which is sweet corn topped with a scoop of mash and chicken gravy. Now this is awesome home style cooking and needless to say I gobbled it up. Lucky for me I was able to park out front so I was able to waddle back to the car after a splendid meal. This is one place you'll wanna dine at if you're heading to Ballard.

Such a great place to get fried chicken and fried chicken sandwiches. All of the sides are absolutely delicious too! What a gem! I am so happy we have them in Ballard neighborhood. We have been back multiple times already. Get the bowl too!!!

I'm a big fried chicken gal. Which means that I will both take any opportunity to get some (especially if there are lots of sides available), but I'll also be hyper critical of it. Happy to report that Cookie's is 5 star! The sandwiches at Cookies are perfect. I got the slawesome. The chicken was a huge piece with the perfect outer crunch. The chicken was tender and juicy. The crunch of the chicken paired perfectly with the saucy slaw. The portion is so big that I split with a friend while indulging in a few sides. I enjoyed the mac, mashed and fries. The fries were probably the best slide. So fresh and crispy. They make everything to order so you have to wait a bit, but it's absolutely worth it!

Tastes greasy and nauseating. Also overpriced for what it is. If it's fast food quality that's fine, but price it accordingly.

Their daily 3-5 happy hour makes it particularly fun to watch college football on Saturdays or NFL on Sundays. They have a dark and cozy interior with a lovely shaded patio on hot days. We typically order the same thing each happy hour - I love the fried chicken sliders (Nashville hot) and my husband gets the fried chicken basket. We always pair that with a vieux carre. Total tab is under $35 not including tax and tip. A complete steal in Seattle these days! Service is usually quick and thoughtfully-spaced with enough time to make a dent in the drinks before the food arrives. It's the perfect spot to meet up with friends, host parents, and watch sports of any kind (the mariners game is always on).

I believe food is made to order, so it took a good 20 minutes before my order arrived. Fried Chicken Sandwich, Nashville Style ($19) - This sandwich is pretty simple in terms of ingredients - a buttery and toasted, fluffy bun, a couple of pieces of iceberg lettuce, the requisite pieces of fried chicken, creamy mayo, and some sweet and tangy pickle rounds on the bottom, to cut through the chicken fat and fryer oil. The pickles, while necessary for the sandwich, are far sweeter than I prefer, and given in a larger quantity than most fried chicken sandwiches. The lettuce isn't applied very well; even coming to the table, large pieces had already flung out of the sandwich. The star of the show is obviously the fried chicken. A lot of people think Nashville-style just means dumping a bunch of cayenne chili powder onto a regular piece of fried chicken and calling it a day. This technique adds spice, sure, but doesn't enhance the chicken with waves of layered flavor. Triangle Spirits does it mostly right, albeit with some outside-Nashville adjustments. The chicken is clearly brined well, giving a great flavor base, then dredged in a lightly crispy breading that properly adheres. The breading isn't red in color, but has a complex spice with mild heat and a touch of sweetness. It's not too spicy at all; it would probably be characterized as a step below mild at a traditional Nashville hot chicken establishment. The chicken is pounded thin and is still relatively moist. While Triangle Spirits doesn't add cayenne to the brine, nor pour hot cayenne oil over the chicken, the overall flavor profile is excellent given the care put into the seasoning. The flavors are balanced. The sandwich comes with fries, which are normal commercial thin fries. They are fried until crisp with the interior starting to dry out, but still remaining mostly fluffy. They toss with a lot of salt so it's on the saltier side. (4/5) I actually revisited a couple of weeks later to try out their bone-in chicken, which is by far my preferred way of eating Nashville-style hot chicken. Dark Meat, 3PC, Nashville Hot ($21) - This is more like 2.5 pieces of chicken, with a thigh, drum, and wing flat. The chicken is remarkably similar in taste and fry level as the sandwich, juicy inside, lightly crisp on the outside. Again, with a very mild heat, balanced with the excellently brined chicken, some smokiness from the chilis, and a bit of sugar sweetness. Just a great layered flavor profile. This time, they actually do douse the chicken a little in cayenne oil - but again, it's a very mild one. Unfortunately there's no piece of white bread underneath to soak up all the oil. I wonder if they fry in peanut oil because I taste some nuttiness in the breading as well. This comes with one side, of which I went with the collard greens. They are cooked well, with some vinegar to cut through all the bitterness, but still leaving some texture. They come in a cup that's filled to the top with essentially a ham (maybe bacon?), onion, and garlic broth. There's not much acidity at all, and it's pretty nice to drink just as a soup. I'm not sure this is a great side to go with the fried chicken though - when it came to the table, since the cup was so full of soup, some spilled out and soaked into the chicken. (5/5) Service is generally on the slower and lackadaisical side. Even for lunch, when there was barely any traffic, on both visits it took me almost an hour and half from entering the establishment to leaving. It's definitely not a place for a quick lunch. Most people eating here probably get a beer or liquor, but I drink water only. The water cup they give is tiny, and with the inattentive service, it doesn't get refilled often. I wish they left a small jug of water at each table. At any rate, the fried chicken Triangle Spirits serves is actually very good. I wonder why it doesn't appear on any best of Seattle fried chicken lists - because it's definitely better than some of the entries on the typical list I see. It's actually worth bringing some friends so you don't get sad. In all seriousness, this is a place that I'm surprised I've never reviewed because I've had a solid experience here many times. It's also renowned across the city for its hot chicken prowess and dedication to the craft. I'll be straight up with you, there are better fried chicken places in Seattle. But there are only like 6 restaurants in Interbay, so it's worth stopping here if you're in the area to either hit golf balls or get a car wash. We decided to bring our book club here because we were reading Devil All The Time and this somehow seemed like an appropriate place to host a meeting. I always get the Seattle Hot, because my spice tolerance has greatly decreased with age (ever since my experience with hot chicken in Nashville which fully rotated my insides like a rotisserie chicken). Hot chicken is their expertise at S&B, so if you're up for the challenge they have some pretty spicy stuff. One of the attendees tried the level below reaper and said it was meant to be fed to babies, so try the reaper if you dare. The chicken itself is solid. The flavor doesn't blow you away, nothing is too dried out, but there isn't an explosive crunch either. On principle I am against a restaurant that charges for sauces, since there should at least be a few that come with your meal. Three tendies with no sauce at all is blasphemous. They really need a little something to take them to the next level, so you should order a couple of sauces in the side. I did thoroughly enjoy the bacon pieces that they added to my mac and cheese, these lil pork morsels were a delectable addition to the side dish. Overall an enjoyable experience every time I've come to S&B.
