Today I woke up with the biggest descision of my life. Do I want breakfast or lunch. I chose Honey Field Restaurant since it was the halfway point to meet from Orland Park and Downers Grove. Its literally a couple miles west off the 159th exit. The menu is huge...but in a good way. If you can't find something to eat then their is something wrong with you. I asked our server Chuck what the soups were. He suggested the Cream of Italian Sausage with light green peppers and mozzarella cheese on top. I am a fan of cream based soups so I figured this had to be just as good and it was. Next I went for the gusto! A half-pound Zeus burger loaded with chunks of feta cheese and grilled tomatoes and onions. I ordered the burger medium well, good choice and juicy. The season fries on side were crispy and addicting. Prices are affordable and if you go on their website you can download coupons for $2 and $3 off your bill. Two of us ate for $20.13 This place is open 6AM-4PM so around 1:30pm it was pretty much open with no line and no wait. read more

I've been a regular since Honeyfield opened. Efficient service- always friendly service and quick service. Food is delicious and served hot. Coffee lovers gets carafe at their table. I took my two young sons (1 and 4) there for "breakfast for lunch." The waitress gave me some nice suggestions, and I ended up with a mini-waffle combo, which was delicious. I shared with my younger son, who loved the fresh fruit on top. I thought the waffles were crispy and my sons loved the scrambled eggs so much I barely got to try them. My older son ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, which were enough to feed him and his younger brother for two more breakfasts. (Lots of leftovers!) My children weren't terribly well-behaved, and I have to say the staff was still very kind and accommodating. They brought me napkins before I even asked, and replaced our water when my son dumped grape jelly into it. (On purpose. He said he was making juice. Sigh.) The only weird thing we noticed is that there is no hostess stand when you walk in; the cash register and kitchens are at the other end of the store, so there's a moment of confusion when you walk in. My husband, Baby and I try this breakfast place for the first time we travel 20 min thinking that we might have a great experience since a friend of us recommended this place but we were wrong food was great, the manager was also great but the service was horrible! Today was my second time here but if I didn't live in Michigan I would be coming so much more. Their staff is so friendly you feel like you are part of the family. We ordered crepes, bacon, pancakes, and omelettes today. The amount of food you are given is insane. The omelettes are HUGE! Enough food for two people to share. And if you get them with the pancakes that come with, oh boy! There was not one person at our table of four who could eat their entire meal. Absolutely delicious! I was drooling over the bacon. The people who give this place 1 star have their panties in a bunch and are impossible to please. I've been coming here for 6 years and this is my favorite breakfast place in the neighborhood. The staff is polite and can always hold a good convo, and the owner is wonderful as well. You can tell the food is made fresh daily, and in my opinion they have some of the best omelettes and pancakes around. I appreciate the fact that they leave the water and coffee on the table because I'm constantly looking for refills, and the fact that they get you in and out in a timely manner. Take the 1 star reviews with a grain of salt, and if you're worried about "covid safety" and "masks" maybe you shouldn't be going out in the first place. Went here for lunch with my sister today. I ate the albacore stuffed avocados it came with ALOT of fruit, cottage cheese and banana bread. Every bit of it was really good! The food came out pretty fast. The service was a little slow and I only mention that because they weren't busy when we were there so I would think our waitress would be a little more attentive. Well. Back to Honeyfield restaurant I went this afternoon. Try to get breakfast. Breakfast at the Honeyville have went down even lower. Don't get steak and eggs or the chop steak and eggs burnt beyond recognition taste harder, shoe leather no taste at all. If I hadn't been hungry, I wouldn't have it at all. The food is very passable for food. But I didn't see anything or taste anything in the last two years that I've been coming and mostly going. Or drag me back there. Play still needs to be cleaned up. The fans are filthy. The dust bunnies are everywhere. And the ducks above the fans are even worse. Needs a lot of work a lot of updating. And the cooks are just cooks. not much more than that. Other people may have wonderful reviews. However, all restaurants I've had the pleasure to eat breakfast. This is with the second worst one I've ever been in. This was our 3rd trip to this place and our last. We walked out without being seated. We were looked at a couple times by the host and a waitress but no one said anything to us. I decided to take a friend out for lunch and he suggested that we come here. The inside is pretty nice and the booths were pretty comfortable. The menu had quite a large selection but I was in the mood for a cheese burger that day. The hamburger had a significant upcharge for the cheese and came with soup which was hot and pretty good over all. Fries were extra but since I had to take a second mortgage on my home to get cheese on my burger I passed on them. After a fair wait I got my burger and I wasn't disappointed. It was a big beefy burger loaded with toppings (except onion oddly enough...) and they even offered to bring me ketchup and mustard! Which surprised me since I usually have to beg to get mustard on a burger now days. Overall, it was a solid cheeseburger and it was close to home. The waitstaff was very nice and even offered us drink refills to go when we were ready to leave! The only down side to this place is that they don't have dinner service otherwise I'd come here more often. read more

Stopped in while visiting the area for a late Sunday brunch. Hands down the best French toast I've ever had. Bread was light and fluffy and fruit obviously fresh, added crunch of granola and cinnamon butter were the perfect touch. Got a little whipped cream at the server's suggestion and so glad I did. Not sickly sweet at all like most other dressed up French toast. Combination of flavors was more complex than I'd have expected from a little strip mall joint. Fabulous! I had a phenomenal experience at Honeyfield today. I am in town for a conference (coming from Boston) and asked some locals where to go. Honeyfield was recommended to us. We went and caught the smell when we entered. Wonderful breakfast and lunch place with ALL the fixings. Kristen, our waiter was warm, wonderful, and efficient. We also got to interact with the hostesses, Angel and Audrey, who create a great welcoming atmosphere. I also talked to Teresa, another waitress who gave me some advice on places to go in Lockport and also was so friendly and kind. Overall my time at Honeyfield was really, really good. This is my FAVORITE breakfast restaurant in the suburbs. Being gluten free, it's difficult to find a place outside the city that knows what "gluten" is. They have a variety or health and allergy conscious foods; every GF thing I've tried here is delicious! I really like their GF toast and breakfast wraps. But their pancakes and specialty French toast are also superb. Their organic healing teas and juices are all so flavorful and feel good. This is the only place of its kind that I know of in this area. The waitstaff are all accommodating sweethearts! I've never had a bad experience here. Aaaaand Honey Fields has an app that offers 10% off with every meal! (The Norman Rockwell paintings creep me out and I don't like that they have TVs going on in the background, but I digress..) Always good service. Love their quiche breakfast. Love the hollandaise skillet with sunny side up eggs. Good coffee. Yummy soups. Servers are nice...sometimes too loud in the morning but I'm sure that's just me. They have a large menu and the owner is always present. My main complaints 1) never seat customers in the booths near the men's bathroom. You keep the bathroom clean but that cleaning chemical smell just flows over to those tables making it completely unpleasant and removes ones appetite I've experienced this multiple times and almost left once because of it. 2) need to create a better checkout flow. Have your server take the bills. Having us stand in a line to constantly have to move for servers, bus boys and other customers is uncomfortable and unnecessary. This is a popular neighborhood restaurant but it is worth the drive. I had the veggie skillet with the chocolate chip pancakes and it was pure heaven. They leave a pot of coffee at the table, and its good coffee lol. If they catch you praying over your food they will take 10% off of your bill.
