First off, love the spacious, clean location. Plenty of places to sit at both inside and outside and free one hour street parking right in front and on the side of the restaurant. You literally just walk in and order on a touch screen, and yes the provide the hand sanitizer. You can make your own salad or stir-fry bowl or go with one of their special offerings. I had the rice noodle, curry bowl. I substituted some of the items. Took about five minutes for my food to come out. Love how they have sauce options by the soda fountain- sriracha, hoisin, soy sauce, etc. The noodles were a bit undercooked for rice noodles. The curry sauce was pretty good- not too sweet and not too creamy. Didn't fancy the dried aged tofu, but liked the small shrimp I got with it- although the shrimp was definitely on the saltier side. I love love this place!!! I come there almost everyday during lunch time. They offer great selection of stir fry or you can make your own for about $8+ I love the rice noodles more than anything with some mixture of vegetables. You'll get a lot of noodles and just enough amount of vegetables. The only suggestion I would give is to add just a bit more cucumbers and don't forget to put all the ingredients I have couple times my order missing one of the veggies. So this past Saturday, my gf and I spent most of the day drinking at Sandlot with friends. After a few hrs of some drinks and the warm sun we needed to find some grub. So we hopped on Yelp to find the closest place within walking distance that had vegan options for her. And voila! Honeygrow was our choice, and a delicious choice at that. Sevice: Is via touchscreen!! You order all your food with a few clicks of some buttons which was great for us since we were sobering up. The staff also came over and picked up our dishes for us and offered to get us refills. Food: Excellent food!! I love all the options available on the menu. A Group of us had the pleasure of being invited to the pre-opening of Harbor Point. I have never been to Honey Grow even less an opening event. I was more than please with everything. Walking in to a partial opening between where to sit and where the line to the beginning is. Theirs a line on the floor to help guide through the sitting area to beginning of the computers. (Oh yea! computer based system) for workies and those who like quick easy simple. Boom! They give a few options of their creations but they don't hold you too it, if your new like me I took the suggestion and got it as they come with a switch on the protein. From their for next time I can change it up (doubt it, it was absolutely delious) I chose the sour cherry barbecue with spices turkey. So good, a bit tangy with a very good kick. Awesome sauce, wahaha it did have an awesome sauce. My friends got the Chesapeake, with whole wheat noodles and a great amount of Maryland style crab on top, with tomatoes and peppers. The spicy garlic with emphasis on the Spy-SAE. Two others got their own one was a salad with beets, (yea I know right..beets?) to each his own though. Essentially that's the purpose of honey grow. Great ramen or salad that you can have their way or your own but either way they will be delicious. First time to Honey Grow and they were great the staff was super friendly and ready help and explain the Ingredients. Dont be that guy, that has an allergy and tells later after your foods been made. They have vegan options and they are all prepared to the answer "is this in this" question. I hope all who read this give them a try. Price wise I say it depends on what your getting but a great size bowl for mine was $7.75 before taxes and add ons. Enjoy them because I will be coming back. Maybe I'll see you and... I'm a fan of everything except the wait and how crowded this place gets. The menu is relatively simple. You can either choose a bowl or a salad. Bowl gets you rice/noodle base and you can top it how you like. I'm assuming salads work the same way. Also, you can choose one of the standard combinations if you prefer. You order and pay on touch screens, making it very simple. After you place your order, you wait until your numbers is called. My bowl with egg noodles was really good. I opted for beef (which they sold out of) and ended up with pork. No complaints here, the bowl was delicious and I ate every bit of it. Can't recall all the toppings, but I tried the spicy garlic sauce on the side and ended up using the entire cup. This place is good for a quick splurge that will leave you full but not gross later. I have been several times since it first opened. It isn't really my scene - I grew up on cheap food that isn't as fresh or expensive, and I like my spicy or pungent foods to explode with flavor - but it hits a certain niche very well. When you eat here, what you really get is food you won't regret. I've only had the pasta and yogurt bowls, which ordinarily might be more filling. The portions are about right for a meal, maybe two depending on your calorie needs. The food looks and tastes like it was brought over from the Whole Foods organic section the same morning. If you want a little kick and you have pretty average tastes and spice tolerance, I think you would enjoy anything on the menu. I have at one friend who has taken up regularly eating at a different Honey Grow as part of a successful diet for weight loss, and I probably would too if I were looking to get healthier. First time here and its safe to say I won't be back to this location. Upon entry the staff didn't greet me and all had looks on their faces as if they didn't want to be at work. Two staff members were scratching their face, beard, noses, ears ALL while being surrounded and standing overtop of food! (Nasty) Food is very pricy and honestly I didn't like it. The sesame garlic is super overpowering making it hard for you to taste anything other than garlic. The strawberry guava lemonade tasted better than the food itself. There were knats stuck to the backsplash on the wall behind the fountain drinks and lemonade dispensers and knats crawling/sticking to the countertop where the lids and straws are houses. Visited this location on a Saturday afternoon and immediately noticed the lack of customer service. It was really cool how you ordered on the computer touchscreen and easily paid. You get a text message when your order is ready. During the time I was there however they were not busy, a simple hello and a smile would have gone along way. My salad was not that great and when I asked what was in the salad dressing (because I have food allergies) the lady couldn't answer my question and looked at me as if I was disturbing her day. I've been wanting to try this place especially because it is so conveniently located next to my yoga studio and I love love love healthy foods. So, I was so excited when my husband to-goed it for us to have after I finished yoga and boy, was I beyond disappointed. He ordered the "Red Coconut Curry" Stir fry. Um, what red coconut curry? All I could taste was a barely reachable hint of coconut and no sight of red curry nor smell and of course no taste. So, I'm trying to give them the benefit of doubt and think that they just didn't put enough sauce, then as the dish unfolds itself and I'm looking through it with my chopsticks..... there were no bean sprouts, scallions, cilantro, nor parsley. In fact, the ingredients that WERE included, it was like a treasure hunt every time I found a piece of pineapple or a piece of tofu.... So it was really a lump of oily rice noodles with minimal pieces of pineapples, tofu, and jalapenos. I really should have taken a picture of the dish because it looked NOTHING like the other pictures on their website and again, disappointed is an understatement. This could have been my go-to place after yoga every week but that is not happening. Fast food that can be healthy is a really neat trick, and one that seems to be gaining steam - much to my delight. The recently opened Honeygrow can be added to this category... or not, it really depends on what you order. Speaking of ordering - that is the first thing you'll notice. All orders are done through large touch screens located where you would expect a series of cash registers. There's no real way to figure out which side you should enter through, or how a queue should be formed. However, staff members are floating around making sure things go smoothly, so I'll forgive that. Menu is fairly varied - including noodles, the option of stir fry, in addition the expected salads. There are some inexpensive options (under 10 bucks) but once you start throwing in any extras the cost goes up pretty quickly. Occasionally that can be adding a protein to a salad that doesn't have any. So, this could be an under 10 dollar lunch... but without a drink, with limited options, and your lunch will be a bit light. Also - expect to pay 50 cents for a small slice of bread. Ambience is that modern sleek look you'd expect, food is fresh but my salad was a bit light on flavor and a bit heavy on oil. Still - I think once the bridge is complete - I'll probably add this into my occasional rotation and see if I can find a solid offering that's under 10 bucks and fills me up. The charging for bread thing annoys me - but I can't really ding them for it since I'm sure people who don't get bread appreciate the savings. read more
