The texture of the honey from the cold ice cream made it kinda chewy. The honeycomb was delish if you don't mind the wax. I wouldn't get it again but it was nice to experience it the first time. The ice cream was creamy and milky. It was soft serve done right. My boyfriend got the same as me but topped his off with boba. It tasted like honey boba. Not sure if it was from the honey drizzled on top or actually infused into the boba. But his tasted really good too. This is going to be my go to ice cream spot! We ordered lavender and brown sugar milk tea originally but it turns out we dont like the brown sugar milk tea. We tell the cashier lady about it and we ask if we can change the drink and they took a good care of us by replacing it with other drink flavor. We ended up with rose milk tea which taste really fresh and really yummy. This place has excellent customer service. First time I went to honey mee the lovely girl working there asked if I wanted a loyalty card I said no, I mean I don't even really like ice cream I went back two days later for another honey mee.... did I want a loyalty card? NO! I mean it's a coincidence I wanted to go back 48 hours later. This first time I've been to Honeymee was in the Santa Anita Mall in SGV and I remember it being a bit overpriced. However, I decided to give Honeymee a second try because my roommate was raving about the Misugaru milk shake. The conclusion - how is it so addicting?? The flavor itself is like the misugaru powder you can buy in the korean market, but that plus the blended, super smooth, iciness of the drink just really elevates the whole experience. I've been known to splurge on dessert occasionally, and this might be another option for me. Despite having convenient access to a Honeymee near home base in Garden Grove, it wasn't until after dinner in Irvine with my friends that I finally tried this chain for the first time. This location is in a strip mall-esque portion of a plaza not far off the highway, and although I'm sure parking can get tight in the daytime, we parked right in front during the last hour before closing on a Sunday night. Despite milkshakes (including a yummy taste of a friend's strawberry milkshake), teas (no boba), and waffles being on the menu, I had to go with their soft serve ice cream. I chose the Yuzu Affogato ($5.20), which is still labeled as a new option despite being presumably half a year old at least (the wall poster mentions a new "Fall" flavor). The yuzu flavor in that jelly is certainly prominent but not as overpowering as my friend implied. If you're a citrus lover in general or are a fan with yuzu in particular, then try this! The ice cream was still the star though. I loved the thick but yielding creaminess of their soft serve ice cream recipe, and the honey included in my choice brought its own welcome brand of sweetness. I was puzzled as to why the corn flakes were at the bottom of the cup, both in the menu photo and in the actual presentation. This may have led to some underfill. In addition, they weren't as easy to crunch through as I'd hoped. Despite the low portion size for the price, I'll more likely return than not to a Honeymee store in the future. I'm not always in the area, so it would be justifiable as a nice occasional treat. However, I wouldn't consider it to be a regular replacement for other soft serve ice cream, regular ice cream, or gelato based on the value. read more

One of my favorite dessert places to go. My favorite one that I always get is Honeymee (I-5). It's milk ice cream with 100% honeycomb on top! It's a bit pricey, which is $5.20 + tax, but I still think it's worth the price, especially for that honeycomb! I always wanted to try to eat other flavors they have available but Honeymee flavor is my go-to that I can't get enough of. I unfortunately giving it a bit of a lower review because the place is small and there is only one table for 4 and another long table for 4. It's a bit awkward to sit there and a lot of people just buy and leave right away. It would be nice if it had a nicer vibe to just sit and relax while eating. Another reason why I gave a lower review is because the person who served us this ice cream didn't really do a great job where some of the honey was spilling so I had it mostly on my hand and on the table. The server did see it but she really didn't do much to help. So the service was not that great. But overall, if you want some simple ice cream but don't mind on price or eating inside in a small place, this is the place I would say try out when you can. read more

This was one of the few Honeymee locations I have not yet been to, and it was conveniently not too far from the freeway, which I really appreciate. It is located in a shopping center. I was here on a Sunday, so parking was not terrible. The location reminds me very much of the Cerritos or Sawtelle location, with the exception that there is no outdoor seating.
