I really enjoyed the matcha affogato and the delicacy of the soft serve. In components, the combination of the soft serve and the honey paired well together. I loved the quality of both. The matcha, however, did not feel up to par in quality. I feel like it gave my affogato a very overwhelming taste, and not in a good way. Unsure what kind of matcha is used, and I love matcha, I consider myself to be well versed in the different brands. I would go back, but perhaps to try a different soft serve available because the service was fast and easy. read more

I found this shop whilst roaming for a treat after getting dinner with friends. I've heard good things about Honeymee and I was super excited. The service was quick and the shop was cute! I tried the original Honeymee ice cream and Matcha Affogato Ice cream. They were both good and definitely cured my sweet tooth. However, the portions were small and the menu was pricey for a pretty simple dessert. I can't help but to feel that I can remake the Honeymee ice cream at home with a McDonald's sundae and honey for a much cheaper price. I do love the honeycomb toppings that they give! I think it's a great, unique touch to the dessert. read more

I hate that the highest rating I can give is a 5, because in reality they deserve like 6 or 7 stars. The staff showed great customer service, knowledge of the menu, and fast service. I am hooked! Who cares about lactose intolerance! I love their pure milk ice cream! YiFan was too crowded, so decided to try HoneyMee, since I'm too thirsty from a meal full of MSG. I wanted a brown sugar boba milk shake, but don't know how I ended up with ice cream instead. OMG.... Soooo gooood~ Thought about it everyday and finally gave in on the 3rd day and got myself another one! Hubby loves their strawberry shake, but not a fan of yuzu milkshake. I say, if you don't like the bitterness of your citrus, you probably should try something else. And I forgot to mention... I finally found out HoneyMee originally started by Koreans. Oh, that's why they have BTSTinyTan Shop on their official website, duh! Anyway, lactose intolerance isn't going to stop me from visiting again. read more

With multiple visits at this location in such a short period of time, you know summer is definitely upon us. That or I'm hooked. Milk and honey for me is a magical pair that's sweet yet subtle in flavor leaving you wanting more. A tease, that's what the "Sweetie" is - delicious milk ice cream drizzled with honey. Sounds too simple? This is when the saying "less is more" applies to be true. Honeymee also offers Brown Sugar Boba ice cream on their menu with warm and chewy tapioca pearls atop their signature milk ice cream. Absolutely a far superior option than the boba ice cream you can find at Asian grocery stores I tell you that. Not into ice cream? No worries...this boba concoction also comes in a drink version. Delicious. Came to Newport as usual to spend Christmas over with family. We decided try Honeymee, and we were pleasantly surprised by how light, refreshing, and pure the vanilla soft serve tasted. The honeycomb was icing on the cake. It was delicious, and the honey tasted sweet and fresh. Definitely will be returning, and I recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried it. read more

This is certainly the spot to go if you are craving soft serve. It's good, but I have to admit--it probably isn't my vibe of sweets. Considering the simplicity in how the serves are prepared, I don't see much a value in paying $5.65 for a small soft serve that has honey or caramel drizzled on top. Again, personal preference and I'd still recommend others to give Honeymee a shot! My second small gripe were the employees. They were fairly young so they were mostly just chatting and visibly gossiping behind the cashier. Perfectly normal to do that outside of work, but it showed a lack of professionalism for Honeymee. Again, this is probably their part time job but .... just gave off vibes that weren't too welcoming for the business. Overall, I don't think I will come back here but for what it's worth, I'm glad I at least tried it once :) read more

The ice cream here is a bit gimmicky more than anything. Beautiful art on the wall and good for photos if you are visiting OC for its aesthetic spots. Good flavor but nothing special unless you're a big fan of honeycomb wax in your teeth. I would liken the ice cream here to Chick-fil-a soft serve, which I actually enjoy more and is more economical. read more

Haven't had Honeymee in quite some time because of the pandemic but decided to make a stop on my way back to San Diego and I am so glad I did. I typically order the Matcha Affogato Milk Ice Cream and it did not disappoint. The flavor is consistent as always with the perfect amount of Matcha and Honey! The honey was pure delight and I found myself trying to scrape up every last bit of it from the cup. Some of my other favorite flavors are the Sweetie and Yuzu Affogato. Service is quick and the employees are very polite. They also have great packaging for to go orders. I will need to make it a point to stop by more often going forward to get more of this yumminess! read more

Saw this place on my instagram and many friends recommended it to me. I personally think they are a bit pricey for ice cream but it was still really good. I got the Yuzu Affogato and it wasn't too sweet and it was a perfect balance, the corn flakes also added a nice texture to it. Can't remember which one my friend got but she enjoyed hers too. A cute little shop! I had the caramel one and my bf had chocolate. I wish they had smaller sizes but I ended up eating the whole thing anyway! The soft serve is yummy and simple. Honeymee is a great go-to spot if you have a sweet craving. I ordered the ice cream with honey drizzle on top (forgot the menu item name). The ice cream itself has a yummy vanilla flavor and it the perfect creaminess. It reminds me more of a soft serve-type ice cream. The honey with the ice cream though is definitely too sweet for me. The honey alone tastes delicious and sweet but it's a lot if you're not that into desserts that are too sweet. I still want to come back here to try the other menu items. read more

I love going to dinner with my cousin because it's almost guaranteed that we will end up getting ice cream after. It must be a family trait that we cannot say no if either of us brings up ice cream. We were having dinner nearby and Honeymee was the nearest dessert option. This Honeymee location is in the outskirt of the 99 Ranch plaza off Walnut and Jeffrey. They are somewhat hidden behind the gas station. The interior is extremely cramped with 3 small tables and a high window area that seats 3 more. So a maximum of 9 guests seating. We were lucky to seize a spot but the space was tight and a lot of the patrons had wondering eyes but ultimately gave up and took their sweet treats elsewhere. My cousin got the Sweetie ($4.70) which is their vanilla soft serve made with fresh Californian milk swirled with honey. I had their house special, the Honeymee ($5.20) which comes with the same vanilla soft serve base and topped with a natural honeycomb chip. Normally they Honeymee is just plain with the honeycomb chip but I asked the staff if they can swirl honey in my order like the Sweetie's base in which they happily complied. Yay! If you have never had Honeymee, the visual may look sweet but it actually is not sweet at all. The soft serve is really unsweet and moreso creamy. It is a great base for all of the topping variations they have. I always get one of the honey varieties when I come here since I can enjoy the more traditional chocolate and caramel toppings at other ice cream shops. Overall I enjoy the product, but this specific location is a bit cramped for my liking. The good service was nice enough to make up for seating set backs. Their stamp card for buy 10 get 1 free is a great motivator for me to come back for more sweet treats. read more

This dessert spot has a unique honey-based menu, but otherwise does not stand out. Small store in a strip mall with minimal indoor seating and no outdoor seating. I ordered the Honey Afforgato (coffee and vanilla soft serve with drizzled honey) and thought it was decent. The coffee ice cream didn't complement the honey very well in my opinion, but my girlfriend disagrees. Regardless, the soft serve ice cream was nothing special, and unless you're a honey fanatic, I wouldn't call this place a must try. read more

I wasn't sure what I was expecting when we drove up for a late nice ice cream, but Honeymee is on my list of places to go whenever we visit family! Their menu is creative and leaves plenty of room for customization. The location was spotlessly clean, and everyone was friendly (even though we came in really late). My yuzu milkshake wasn't too sweet. I think it's made with the same base/concentrate as yuja tea? There are pieces of the rind mixed in but they aren't bitter, they have a candied taste to them. Overall, I'm happy to add it to the list of places to stop by when we come for a visit next year! read more

Okay...I don't have a sweet tooth. But since I was in the area, I decided to give this place a shot. I believe I have a new obsession and this is why I'm glad I don't live near by. I got the boba with the yummy dark caramel and it was perfect with the delicious soft serve. The ladies behind the counter were very welcoming, professional and very sweet. If you love honey and delicious desserts, you have to give this place a shot. It's amazing and definitely worth a try! They use ceremonial grade matcha from the Yame region of Japan. I googled Yame to make sure I wasn't being bamboozled lol. This is what it said: Yame, located in western Fukuoka Prefecture, is one of the oldest tea producing regions in Japan. ... The micro-climate there is perfect for matcha. The Matcha latte was not very creamy, but it had a great flavor. Usually Matcha lattes are too sweet, or they are too bitter. I was pleasantly surprised by the ice cream here. I ordered the Honeymee (milk cream ice cream with honeycomb). I wasn't expecting too much but the milk cream ice cream is delicious! It reminds me of cereal milk ice cream, and it's not sweet, so it pairs really nicely with the honey drizzle and honeycomb. The honeycomb was interested to eat - after finishing my ice cream, I had to split out a lot of wax that got stuck in my teeth. Next time I might just order the ice cream with honey drizzle, and no honeycomb. Definitely worth a try!! They also have a lot of other menu items I'd like to try, so will be back! read more

Honeymee is a milk ice cream dessert spot that's located throughout Orange County as well as other areas, like Cerritos. Located near a 99 Ranch market, they have a huge parking lot, so you never have to worry about parking there! It's also not too far from other food plazas nearby, making it a great dessert spot! When you come in, it's a cute but small storefront. It's a pretty small establishment, with a few tables available for indoor seating. I've personally never had a hard time grabbing a table, but it is extremely limited, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a place to go for leisure. Their service is so fast. My dessert was ready before I even had the chance to sit down, so it's nice that you don't have to worry about a wait! I ordered the classic HoneyMee. I loved how smooth the soft serve felt, and how it was perfectly sweetened by the honeycomb. The honeycomb that they add on touch is a very suitable topping considering their name, and it also provides an extra sweetness to the simply flavored milk ice cream. Although the honeycomb can get stuck in your teeth, so there are other options where you can opt for the honey drizzle alone. They have a wide variety of options, including matcha flavors and shakes in addition to their classic soft serve. Overall, I highly recommend Honeymee! It's the perfect quick but delicious dessert spot, and great on a hot summer day! read more

I love honeymee so much that even though I'm lactose intolerant, I can't stop coming!! Ice cream: the ice cream is very milky and not too sweet. I can tell they don't add too much sugar or artificial sweeteners to the ice cream. Moreover, instead of some places where the soft service is really thing, I would say the soft serve here is very thick and creamy. Toppings: my favorite item is the matcha affogato which is honey drizzle and matcha. The honey and matcha actually go very well together. I also like how it's not too sweet! Another one of my favorites is the yuzu affogato which has corn flakes on the bottom and refreshing yuzu citrusy sauce on top. Service: all the workers here are so kind! I had a lot of questions to ask but they answered all the questions cordially. Moreover, the ice cream comes out so quickly. They even pack it in ice for you if you have to drive far with the ice cream If you want good quality soft serve and wonderful service, HIGHLY recommend honeymee!!! read more

Honeymee is just as good time and time again. Granted the portions are a bit on the small side for the price, I think that the ice cream and honey are good complements to one another that are rarely seen together. In addition to the Honeymee, we also tried the Cookies N Cream milkshake and thought the blend was thorough with a good balance of cookie. There was a hint of Graham cracker perhaps but all in all a good choice! read more

This is a cute little shop with a few tables. I had the Honey Affogato, it's was sooo good! My daughter had the Sweetie which was simple and super tasty! It's not a huge cup, but certainly enough to fill you. The honey is really smooth and really good which you can purchase alone. The staff is kind and quick. You might have to circle a few times, but there's usually parking not too far away, so no big deal. Now, let's talk about the ice cream, delicious doesn't even begin to cover it. They've got some really tasty flavors, including vegan options, and the texture is smooth and creamy. I tried the matcha Honey with strawberry, and I'm telling you, it's so good, like I could eat it every day. The honeycomb on top is a total game changer, and the honey, when it chills, gets this chewy texture that's just amazing. I tried Honeymee for the first time and got the Honeymee soft serve with matcha and strawberry. Let me just say--it was absolutely worth it! The matcha on top tasted incredibly fresh and creamy, and the addition of honey was a total game changer. I've never had honey with soft serve before, and it added such a nice sweetness that really elevated the dessert. The soft serve itself was silky, smooth, and packed with flavor. We added strawberry at the bottom, and I loved that it included actual chunks of fresh strawberry--it was such a nice touch. I tried Honeymee twice. First time, I got the sea salt caramel milkshake which was small for the price, but very tasty! I enjoyed the sea salt crunches. Second time, I got the Sweetie, which is milk ice cream with honey drizzled on it. Again, the portion sizes are quite small for what they charge. The honey was above average but there was nothing special about the milk ice cream. I would recommend adding more honey (they charge extra) to the milk ice cream to mask the blandness of the ice cream. read more
