I love their soft serve more than anyone else's including SomiSomi. Just getting their plain vanilla in a waffle cone with a drizzle of honey (or not) is peak confectionery perfection! The quality is impeccable and decadent. It tastes closer to actual ice cream than any other soft serve. Service is fine. Ambiance is still all right. There is a dumpling house and Ranch 99 and Kaju Tofu in the same plaza, so there's lots to tastefully enjoy!

Pretty good sweet treat in a pinch. I think the honey drizzle is a little gimmicky. I think if they used honey as their primary ice cream sweetener it would be more on theme.

It's been a while since I last visited a Honeymee, and this trip brought back a lot of great memories. I still love that soft, smooth, and rich milk flavor. The texture is perfectly creamy without feeling too heavy. Service was fast and efficient, and everything came out just as expected. It's the kind of place that delivers consistency, which makes it easy to come back to. Definitely a spot worth revisiting when you're craving something simple and satisfying.

Came here because HeyTea didn't have either of the drinks I wanted to order and for nostalgia sake. I used to go to the one in Buena Park and my mom and I loved their sweetie ice cream. I ordered the lavender milkshake today because that used to be another favorite order of mine. My only minor complaint is that I'd have to echo another reviewer that the milkshake wasn't filled to the top of the cup which is a bummer especially since the drink is $7.45. While the flavor and consistency was still perfect, I hope they end up fixing their measurements so that we get what we paid for. Otherwise, they have a cute small interior with some limited seating. They also sell honey some there. Barely any wait so I got served my drink quickly.

really good soft serve. the store is right next to hey tea so it's pretty popular. i've tried their matcha and original soft serve with the honeycomb and it's all pretty solid. i would recommend just getting the honey drizzle because the honey comb can be hard to swallow and the more you chew it the waxier it becomes.

Honeymee is located in a busy shopping plaza as it's surrounding by lots of other businesses. They have a couple of tables for indoor seating. I ordered the honeymee which is some of their ice cream with a chunk of honeycomb. It was a nice little sweet treat, I'd like to come back and try some of their other flavors.

I am such a sucker for milk ice cream and it's my favorite ice cream flavor. Such a simple flavor but is so delicious when it's done well! There used to be a Honeymee near where I'm from but they closed down so I haven't had it in years. It was just as good as I remembered if not better! I got the darling which is just a plain milk ice cream. It was so amazing that I finished the entire thing and I never usually finish my ice cream because I get too full but I literally couldn't stop eating. My friends and I sat inside, it's really bright and there were a few small tables. It's right next to Heytea and the best part is that it's just as good but there's never a line!

Get a Matcha Sweetie Honeymee! Service was lightingfast. This is one of my favorite dessert places because the honey spread crystallizes with the frozen matcha ice cream. There's seating inside too away from the heat!

I am absolutely obsessed with this place. My go to's are the honey comb matcha soft serve and the salted chocolate milkshake. This place offers so many options. The place is always clean and staff are courteous. It's always a must dessert spot when I'm in Irvine!

We came around 8PM debating on what sweet treat to get in the area and chose here! There was a kiosk for you to order or you could order with the cashier. There was also limited seating indoors so more so a grab and go situation if there aren't seats available. We ordered the matcha honeymee and the brown sugar boba ice cream. Both were really delicious although would have loved if the syrups were more infused in the ice cream.

It's been yearsss since I had Honeymee. It used to be my go-to in college. I randomly came across this location last week and am happy to report that the soft serve is still the same - silky smooth and not too sweet, which is the perfect base for the honey or any other toppings. This time, I actually gave the yuzu affogato a try. The yuzu sauce was a little overpowering and quite sweet. After trying a few items over the years, the honeycomb soft serve is still my personal #1. This location is quite small with a few seatings, but bright and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. :)

it's been awhile since i've had honeymee, so i was impressed that the soft serve was still really good! they have added on a lot of new flavors since i've been, and i tried out the yuzu affogato which was a vanilla based soft serve topped with a yuzu syrup and had corn flakes on the bottom. the tartness of the yuzu paired really well with the sweet vanilla, and the corn flakes added a nice crunch! this was a really good and balanced sweet treat, and definitely big enough to share it was decently crowded for a random tuesday evening, but service was really quick and efficient. there are a few tables and chairs to sit and eat, but it fills up pretty quickly since the shop is kinda small.

The brown sugar boba was exactly as described. The flavor profiles are spot on and the ratios of everything was balanced. Overall, it's pretty sweet for a dessert option. They do a good job of creating moderate serving sizes so it's not too much. They also serve tea and coffee. I had the honey citron tea served hot, and it was great. Kinda tasted like a cough drop, but it's just what I needed for a chilly CA evening. They're located in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking. The employees were friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. There's isn't a lot of dine in space and no outdoor table options. read more

I'm a fan of this place! The interior is cozy and decorated with cute honey and bee decor. Staff is very nice and accomodating with our questions. We ordered the matcha affogato ice cream and brown sugar boba ice cream. The soft serve is so creamy and served as a good backdrop for the accompanying flavors. The matcha and honey was a good combination, with the sweetness offsetting the bitterness perfectly. The brown sugar was just the right amount of sweetness and the boba was soft and chewy. This is one of my favorite dessert spots! The ice cream is so creamy and perfect along with the honey and other add ons you might get. You honestly can't go wrong! They have come up with new flavors such as the matcha one that is also very good. I miss the bread ice cream sandwich that was what started my love for this place. Service is good and quick. First time at Honeymee and although many options looked great, the shake is what caught my eye. They have a lot of different flavors and ultimately you can get an ice cream version or a milk shake version with some exceptions. It took a while to order and we could tell the workers were trying their best but were slammed with orders. But once order was in, we only had to wait 5 minutes for our drinks to be ready. I got the matcha milk shake and it was soooo good! The creamy and smooth consistency was perfect and the matcha flavor was spot on. My only complaint is the price $6-$7 is a bit steep but that's the state of the world we're in QQ. read more

One of the rare places where quality remained the same and prices did not increase drastically. After COVID, after the past couple years, it feels like everywhere has gone up in price (sometimes doubled) but got worse. This place is a gem for that alone. The ice cream here has always been super creamy. Quality ingredients! Service was prompt on a Sunday night. Store is small, and the decor is a bit precariousness positioned, but very cute. read more

I like to do the affogato with honey comb. Cute little cafe to sit and chat at. Service is nice but I normally just order at the kiosk, pick up, and go. For how expensive most dessert shops are you're not over paying. Good soft serve ice cream and an emphasis on honey - they do what they do well and you get what you pay for. read more

Quick service and a couple seats inside if you wanted to enjoy your sweet treats there. Got the matcha sweetie and oh my goodness, it served my matcha needs!! The flavor isn't too heavy which made this my boyfriend's favorite dessert. The honey could definitely overpower the matcha unless you eat it w the correct spoon proportions LOL. I saw in store that they use premium quality matcha but they do offer ceremonial matcha to be sprinkled on top. I actually tried the other location in Buena Park and I prefer the Irvine location due to its quality consistency. In the past I've tried the peach milkshake which was a little too sweet for my liking, but that's just a personal preference. The matcha milkshake was also pretty good! read more

It was my first time trying Honeymee and I can't get enough. I will be coming back to try the Matcha honey because I got the sweetie and then I also got the honey affogato. Both of these were so delicious, the honey affogato is strong coffee, but it balances is out with they honey. That honey is something else though, it's perfect. The parking was easy to find and the service was so fast. I couldn't believe when I got the ice cream, it was literally so fast. The place is small on the inside but they have really nice decor up, makes it feel like home. read more

Tried Honeymee for the first time and it did not disappoint! There is plenty of parking in the plaza; however, it can get crowded at times. The inside was smaller than I thought. It only had a few tables (more of a grab n go ice cream place). I got the matcha soft serve. The texture was very nice and creamy. It had a refreshing taste but it did not have a strong matcha flavor. I also tried the milk soft serve that was very good! read more

My gf absolutely loves Hokkaido ice cream and this place popped up on yelp when we searched for it. We decided to give this place a try: 1. Yuzu Affogato: My gf didn't really like the yuzu with the ice cream. She felt the Yuzu was good and the soft serve was good but the mix together wasn't great. I agree when I had a bite. I liked how creamy the soft serve was but it didn't mix well. 2. Honey Affogato: I loved the honey one. I actually saved it for the next day and it tasted even better with the honey a bit more frozen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Overall, I like the bunch of options and flavors that the had. I did feel the size was a bit small for what you pay for. It's not a lot different from the $1 ice cream cones you can get in Japan with some flavored sauce sprinkled on top. read more

My brother told me about this place so on a hot day, we decided to swing by for some dessert. It's a small cute place and ghee service was good. I ordered the regular milk and one with strawberry jam, as I was hesitant to try other ones that may seem too sweet for my pallet. The soft serve ice cream was high quality! Clean, not soggy, and delicious. The strawberry jam added a nice extra touch for me. I would definitely come back again to try other flavors. read more

I like this place BUT they are so lazy. Do your job man. I went in 40 minutes before closing and ordered a matcha honeymee. They still have it available, they just don't want to clean the machine. After having paid the guy says they actually can't do matcha because they're cleaning the machine already and don't want to clean it again. This is almost an hour before closing wth? This isn't the first time either, I've gone with more time to spare before closing other times and same thing, that they don't want to clean the machine. I drive 30 minutes or more and come well before closing time, and I have to be inconvenienced because they don't want to do their job. Managers need to do better on talking to these employees and giving them warnings or firing them if they don't want to do their job. read more

I wish they can make it less sweet. Then I would come here more often. But I could tell the quality of ingredient uses were good quality items and that part is addictive. I just like going super simple. Plain milkshake with honey. That's all you need cuz it tastes great Just I really wish there is like 50% less sweet options like one of those boba places. read more

Got this to-go and my experience was amazing. They stow each ice cream cup in a larger cup with ice so it does not melt. To me, that's going above and beyond and I love it. The ice cream + honey was a phenomenal combination. The way the honey hardens a bit ended up being a nice texture. The soft serve was creamy and satisfying. So good! Will be coming back. read more

My friends and I came here looking for a light(ish) dessert after a heavy dinner. To be honest, I came in with pretty low expectations, and those expectations were met. I was debating between the Dear Chocolate and the Brown Sugar Boba. Being the indecisive girl I am, I decided to ask the cashier for her recommendation. She said her personal favorite was the Brown Sugar Boba, but the boba does melt the ice cream sometimes. She also said the Dear Chocolate was more popular, so I went with that one. It came out really quickly, so you definitely don't have to worry about waiting here! The Dear Chocolate was $5.95 and in my opinion it tasted just like a McDonald's sundae which I could get for a lot cheaper. The ice cream was just forgettable and I made the mistake of adding sea salt to mine which made it way too salty. I would only come here if I went to McDonald's, their ice cream machine was broken, and I was dead set on eating their ice cream LOL. It wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't come back. read more

I have been to honeymee in different locations since 2014 and visited this store for many times since they open. But recently I found out the ice cream at this location literally melted all over our hands in 10 seconds and the reason employees gave out was "it's because we are busy and the machine keeps running and stay in hot". We didn't even touch the ice cream since they melt so fast and just trash it away. If the machine is not able to keep making great ice cream, they should close earlier rather than stay open until 10:30pm. read more

SOOOOOO GOOD! Seriously the creamiest, thickest, best, delicious soft serve I've had! I got the Matcha Affogato and it was perfection! Not too sweet, ceremonial grade matcha wasn't bitter and the drizzle of raw honey with the cold soft serve was sticky and sooo good! I also love that the portions aren't super huge they're the perfect size! HIGHLY recommend and my new addiction lol read more

This place would be Pooh Bear's honey dream!!! Honeymee features soft serve, shakes, and various drinks with honey as one of its main stars. I love getting the Sweetie--it's their vanilla soft serve with honey drizzle. The ice cream is so fresh and creamy and the honey you can tell is 100% natural. It's a combo that sounds weird but it's perfect. I feel like the ice cream is a tiny bit on the less sweet side so the honey drizzle is a perfect addition. Inside is pretty small, so I would probably suggest getting to go. If you do opt for delivery, they do package if very nicely and over ice, so your frozen treats stay nice and cold. If you love honey and delicious soft serve--this place is for you!!! read more

I love honeymee! The ice cream is so delicious and we love to bring friends to try it. The honeymee specifically is the best with the honey comb piece. It offers a nice cold treat that isn't overly sweet. Line can get busy but the service is pretty fast. It's a small location so not much seating inside. They also sell the honey in jars. I would prob give 3.5 because the boba wasn't really that flavorful, and lacked the brown sugar flavor. It was tasteless, but the brown sugar saved the day. The ice cream itself was yummy, just wish the boba was more flavorful. read more

Honeymee was such a pleasant surprise and wonderful find! My friend took me here to try their Honey Matcha and I have to say, I'm so pleasantly surprised! I loved the texture of the matcha ice cream paired with the honey. The honeycomb hardens a little while in the ice cream but melts in your mouth for that perfect texture and taste. The added sweetness from the honey was just right with the matcha ice cream which was full of flavor but not too sweet. Absolutely loved this visit here! I can't wait to come again. read more

Today was my 2nd time visiting this location. There's 2 locations here in OC; One in Buena Park & the other here in Irvine. Personally, I prefer this Irvine location as it's more convenient overall in terms of parking, service, ordering, etc. The one in Buena Park is more of a "walk thru/window service" whereas here in Irvine, albeit small, ordering is inside & there's 2 tables to hang out to chill & also spaces to stand around if you'd like. I can't speak for others but I personally live closer to the BP one than Irvine, yet I've only gone to the BP one once & that's enough for me. The workers here at Irvine are also more welcoming, service is friendlier, & a lot quicker in preparing/completing the order regardless of when they're quiet or packed to the max. I've yet to try any of the ice creams but that's an experience for another time I suppose! read more

service was SO fast & the store is very pretty (but also very small. i think there was only one table inside). the honey was surprisingly not overwhelmingly sweet as i thought it would be. complimented very well by the soft serve. the honeycomb itself has a strong honey flavor (of course) & was a fun experience, though i probably wouldn't get it again next time. overall not too sweet & so worth it read more

My hubs and I stopped in on Monday night around 9pm. I was mad craving matcha soft serve and this place had it. I had honeymee long ago but didn't rmbr why I hadn't returned in so long- until I tasted the soft serve. I didn't order anything fancy just the regular matcha soft serve, no honey comb. The soft serve didn't taste like it had enough matcha mixed into it. Very lightly flavored. It wasn't too sweet. Maybe that's the intention? The spoon is really cute and helps you quickly scoop it down. My hubs ordered a hot honey matcha. They told us the honey mixture is honey syrup and was able to sweeten it more for us. The drink was good but nothing too amazing or out of the ordinary. The store has like 2-4 tables (maybe max capacity of 10). Overall, solid place open later at night for a quick grab and go but doesn't exactly hit the spot for my matcha cravings. 3.5 stars seems more accurate. read more

Wasn't busy when I arrived on a Sunday late afternoon. I've been here before to order the milk darling with honeycomb piece, and thought it was too sweet. However, this time around, I ordered the matcha honeymee, and it was yum! Perfect amount of honeycomb piece x1 on the side with the not so sweet matcha. Also, the condensed milk was given to us in a small cup and wasn't mixed in the bottom layers of each bowl. So, it was icy at the bottom, all the way to the top and then some strawberries with a condensed milk drizzle, a few mochi pieces, and then we were given a small cup of the condensed milk to sweeten it up ourselves. I don't think I will be back, except if I really don't have a choice for a dessert nearby.

Most drinks, aside from the pour-overs, are around $4.50 to $7, which is a far greater value for what you're getting in sheer quality. There are way too many cafes these days that focus on aesthetics and end up sacrificing quality. This place feels like it's run by people who genuinely love coffee and it shows in every order. Many bagelries I've been to have thick bagels, which is great, but I get stuffed from all the dough (lol!), so I enjoyed the lighter bagels here, but they did seem a little over toasted, as in crisper/harder. Really wanted to share our honest experience here with the bagel flavors as Rise has gotten so popular. As few have mentioned, for the price, more exceptional flavor was anticipated, so it was a true 3.5/5 experience for me personally. They also do not allow any modifications whatsoever at all. We got there late, they close at 2 pm, but they let us know we can stay to eat, but we didn't want to keep them waiting due to us late stragglers so we went outside to eat and it was beautiful and really nice! Ample seating, beautiful view, just the occasional water sprinkling from the fountain(?) got on us and our bagels lol!

However, this was my first visit I've made to their Irvine location. They're situated in a large strip mall full of restaurants and food shops. Parking on a Friday evening was a nightmare and it took over 30 mins to find a spot, and even then we considered ourselves lucky judging my the large number of cars still circling. I was in town recently, and after dinner(elsewhere in Irvine) we decided on Suul and Beans for some Bingoo dessert. We shared 2 Strawberry Bingsoo among the 4 of us. This visit reminded me why I normally don't choose to come here, except for convenience reasons, like on this evening. Their Bingsoo is too icy and is not creamy and pillowy soft like other BIngsoo shops. Their Bingsoo almost tastes like shaved ice with fruit on top. Also, the condensed milk was given to us in a small cup and wasn't mixed in the bottom layers of each bowl. So, it was icy at the bottom, all the way to the top and then some strawberries with a condensed milk drizzle, a few mochi pieces, and then we were given a small cup of the condensed milk to sweeten it up ourselves. I don't think I will be back, except if I really don't have a choice for a dessert nearby.

I'm so happy I don't have to trek all the way to LA's Japanese Village to try Honeymee--this Irvine location is just as great! It's in a super busy plaza, so parking can be a bit of a challenge (same as the LA spot), but honestly, it's worth it for dessert, right? You might have to circle a few times, but there's usually parking not too far away, so no big deal. Now, let's talk about the ice cream, delicious doesn't even begin to cover it. They've got some really tasty flavors, including vegan options, and the texture is smooth and creamy. I tried the matcha Honey with strawberry, and I'm telling you, it's so good, like I could eat it every day. The honeycomb on top is a total game changer, and the honey, when it chills, gets this chewy texture that's just amazing. My daughter went for the yuzu flavor (I think?)--it's like vanilla and honey, and she loved it too! All in all, this place is a win for anyone who loves good ice cream, honey, or just a fun spot to hang out with friends. I tried Honeymee for the first time and got the Honeymee soft serve with matcha and strawberry. Let me just say--it was absolutely worth it! The matcha on top tasted incredibly fresh and creamy, and the addition of honey was a total game changer. I've never had honey with soft serve before, and it added such a nice sweetness that really elevated the dessert. The soft serve itself was silky, smooth, and packed with flavor. We added strawberry at the bottom, and I loved that it included actual chunks of fresh strawberry--it was such a nice touch. I will say the portion is on the smaller side for the price (about $7-$8), but the quality is outstanding, so it feels worth it for a treat. I tried Honeymee twice. First time, I got the sea salt caramel milkshake which was small for the price, but very tasty! I enjoyed the sea salt crunches. Second time, I got the Sweetie, which is milk ice cream with honey drizzled on it. Again, the portion sizes are quite small for what they charge. The honey was above average but there was nothing special about the milk ice cream. I would recommend adding more honey (they charge extra) to the milk ice cream to mask the blandness of the ice cream. read more

Honeymee has some really good soft serve at a pretty reasonable price! I tried both the honeycomb and chocolate flavors. Both were tasty, and the soft serve itself was smooth and creamy. The honeycomb one had a nice touch of sweetness, and I liked the edible honeycomb that came with it. I just wish the honey was more evenly layered instead of mostly sitting on top. The chocolate wasn't anything mind-blowing, but it was still enjoyable. Overall, a solid spot for soft serve that doesn't feel overpriced! read more

Yummy! I love this place! I decided to take my kids when I heard they were opening. My kids had the Sweetie and I had the coffee milkshake. The soft serve had a wonderful rich milk flavor and the honey was amazing. Now on to the milkshake. I didn't expect the honey to make such a difference in the flavor. But it did, and it was so good. I'm definitely coming back to try the other flavor milkshakes especially during this heat. read more

Came in today to get some ice cream for my daughters. We were met with superb customer experience and I asked for the names of the people Tay, the young lady who was my cashier, went above and beyond answering my multiple questions! I had the honey affogatto ice cream. The ice cream is very good because it's not very sweet but has a very good texture. The espresso was not good. It almost tasted sour and I could have done without it. The honey on top of the ice cream though is so good and adds a nice touch to the ice cream. The serving size is small and the price is high. But overall, it's not bad. read more
