I am a honeymee fiend. Specifically for their milkshakes. The flavors of the milkshake hit spot on. The strawberry shake tastes exactly like strawberry ice cream, and cookies and cream tastes like an Oreo McFlurry. Though the milkshakes are very sweet, they have a delicious taste and interesting texture that distinguishes honeymee from other restaurants that sell fraud shakes. Honeymee finds the perfect balance between milk, ice, and flavor. I aspire to try every single milkshake flavor by the end of the year. They don't call me the honeymee milkshake man for no reason. read more

It's a really cute dessert place from the decor to the soft serve ice cream. I got the honeymee I enjoyed the milk flavor and the taste reminds me of Costco's soft serve. The honey itself was a nice hint of sweetness, the honeycomb was a bit much haha. 8/10 with honey! Without honey 9/10! The Dear Chocolate was a rich and darker chocolate drizzle bitter sweet type topped off with sea salt. 6.5/10. My husband enjoyed it though. I would definitely try out other new flavors they had like grape or passion fruit! And the matcha darling!! They are welcoming and friendly! read more

HoneyMee is easily one of the best ice cream spots I've tried! Their ice cream is made from fresh milk, and you can really taste the difference -- it's smooth, rich, and not overly heavy. I walked in and was helped right away. The staff was so nice and helpful, especially since I couldn't decide what to order -- they gave great recommendations that did not disappoint. They have a great variety of options, from classic soft serve to milkshakes. I ordered the honey affogato and it was AMAZING -- the combination of coffee and honey sweetness was perfectly balanced. Not too bitter, not too sweet... just right.I also tried my son's Oreo milkshake and wow, it was so good -- creamy, indulgent, and packed with flavor. Small and quick dessert spot! Matcha affogato: 7.9/10. YUMMY! Super sweet so definitely only for people who have a sweet tooth. Milk soft serve with matcha tea and honey drizzle. Could definitely do without the honey drizzle, but the matcha flavor is very intense which balances out the sweetness a little bit. The shop is quite small so it's a to-go spot for sure. They have drinks and soft serve ice cream. The service was super quick and the soft serve comes out right away. My favorite is just the plan soft serve but I tried the one with chocolate and the chocolate was more fudgy than I had expected. Nonetheless super tasty and simple. read more

Was craving some ice cream and came across this cute soft serve spot! I decided to try one of their new menu items, the Chestnut Shake. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to expectations--the drink looked nothing like the photo, missing the drizzle around the cup, and the shake itself was much lighter in color. The texture was very melty and on the sweeter side, but the flavor was decent. Presentation: 3/10. Taste: 5/10. Employee was friendly and order came out quickly. My go-to spot for when I'm wanting something sweet and simple. The ice cream here doesn't feel as heavy as other places, and I love the little honeycomb they add on top. My favorite thing to get is actually the milkshakes (matcha and chocolate!). They're pretty small and cost a little more, but they're such a good pick-me-up at the end of the day. Interior is pretty small, limited seating. Service is usually quick and you can be out of there within a couple minutes of ordering. read more

Honeymee has one of my favorite desserts of all time. I order the matcha affogato with boba and it is a perfect 10/10 for me. The richness of the ice cream, she earthiness of the matcha, the sweetness of the honey and the perfect chew from the boba all tie into the perfect combination for me This location of Honeymee in particular doesn't have the friendliest customer service, but I do go for the sweets and not the atmosphere so it's fine either way. The ice cream is a nice sort of sweetness that reminds you of McDonald's but flavored in a more savory manner. I really enjoyed it for its taste and texture as well as the little honeycomb they give you. I got served pretty quick upon ordering so I guess they're pretty easy to dispense so a line won't be an issue for you. Service wise it's only a self checkout sort of deal and they have all staff working on fulfillment so don't expect great customer service. The shop was pretty clean and tidy and the decor was super cute, only downside was the lack of seating inside but it was nice to take a walk around the plaza with the ice cream. Value wise it's pretty pricy too though for just soft serve so keep that in mind. I would recommend it! read more

This spot has always been a staple soft serve place for me, but this time I tried getting it to go. I have always been worried that the soft serve would melt during transport, but they pack the cup in a styrofoam container filled with ice, and my soft serve was still the perfect texture after the 20 minute drive home! The one thing I would recommend, but I'm not sure if they can do, is to get the honey on the side and pour it on right before you eat it, as it gets hardened when cooled for a long time. read more

I've been wanting to visit Honeymee for over a year now, and am happy to report that the experience actually exceeded my expectations!! The Peach Milkshake actually tasted like real peaches, and the milkiness was really kind of there but not too sweet or overpowering. The Sweetie ice cream with true milk and sourced honeycomb was truly delicious, and I love how the honey kind of hardened a bit, but not too much, because of the cold ice cream. The honey definitely tasted very high-quality, and there are lots of health properties to consuming honey, so it's awesome!! The staff were super friendly and nice and I really appreciated their gentle and uplifting hospitality... the ambiance was really clean and orderly, and the decor was mostly white-themed, I guess to match the milk theme!! I will definitely be back again to try more of the super awesome creations on their menu and see what my favorites are!! read more

For the amount of soft serve you get it's quiet expensive,but it is worth it cause the honeycomb is so fresh and delicious! The staff here are able to quickly work during busy hours. Make sure you get the honey comb though when coming here or else it's nothing special!! read more

I haven't had a Honeymee in so long and we decided to stop by while we're in California. I remember it tasting better years ago. The ice cream was quite bland. It honestly is just plain ice cream - not vanilla. The unique part is the honey and it's just a honeycomb on top so only the tip of the ice cream tastes like honey. If you're craving honey like ice cream, find a place that serves Australian ice cream with the Hokey Pokey flavor. read more

The Honeymee honeycomb ice cream texture was similar to the smooth soft-serve ice cream served at McDonald's. It wasn't unique, just creamy and honey-flavored; and the honey flavor was mild and not super-sweet. I liked the flavor of the drizzled honey on top of the ice cream. The shop was clean, with limited interior seating. So, the ice cream was melting pretty quickly outside the shop since it was around 80F. Despite being busy with a large group of people ahead of me, the counter staff was attentive and courteous - thank you very much to them for good customer service. read more

As a matcha lover, this place is a dream! I've been coming to Honeymee multiple times for their matcha soft serve, and it's consistently amazing. The flavor is perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, just the right hint of sweetness--and the texture is so creamy and smooth. It's everything I look for in a great soft serve. I usually get it to-go, and I'm impressed with how thoughtfully they pack it. They place the soft serve cup in a larger styrofoam container surrounded by ice, with a secure cover on the cup itself. Even with my 15-minute drive home, it stays perfectly intact without melting. I've also tried it with honey on top, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're taking it to-go--the honey hardens by the time you get home and feels unnecessary since the soft serve is already perfectly sweet on its own. The restaurant itself is quite small, with just a few tables and chairs, so it's not the best spot to hang out for a while. Absolutely amazing soft serve! This place has the best soft serve I've ever tried. I recommend getting the sweetie for the honey drizzle on top. Honeymee has unique sundae themes for basic soft serve. I've never tried a place that specializes in honey sundaes and I very much enjoyed it. The honey tasted like high quality and went well with the vanilla soft serve. The service was very good when I was there. I love their soft-serve ice cream! I think at this point, I just visit all the different locations around my area. The service and quality have been consistent with each visit and throughout the different locations, which I love! I would say that if you don't like super sweet ice cream, you may want to add on additional honey as it is already pretty sweet without it. The flavor isn't too overpoweringly strong, just a pop of flavor that makes it just perfect. The only downside is that this location is a bit small, so it is not a good place to hangout at and play games for too long. read more

Was craving something sweet after dinner in the same plaza as Honeymee and decided to grab dessert here. Got the Honey Affogato and really enjoyed it. Coffee is strong and a nice balance with the soft serve and honey. Honey ended up not too overpowering over the coffee and soft serve which was preferred. Even my girlfriend was pleasantly surprised with how well everything balanced together. Their soft serve is good and even the classic one with just honey is good, but if you want a small change (and enjoy strong sweet coffee) I'd recommend trying this out. Price is expensive for what it is in my opinion. I never felt the price matched the amount you got but the quality is good. A nice once in awhile splurge for me honestly. Worth the try! read more

The ice cream itself is dense in texture but has a very mild flavor--there's no strong or even moderate taste of vanilla or any other distinctive notes beyond what you get from the toppings. So if you prefer a clean, subtle taste, this might be perfect for you. But if you're looking for something rich and flavorful, you might find it a bit underwhelming. I tried Honeymee for the first time and got the Honeymee soft serve with matcha and strawberry. Let me just say--it was absolutely worth it! The matcha on top tasted incredibly fresh and creamy, and the addition of honey was a total game changer. I've never had honey with soft serve before, and it added such a nice sweetness that really elevated the dessert. The soft serve itself was silky, smooth, and packed with flavor. We added strawberry at the bottom, and I loved that it included actual chunks of fresh strawberry--it was such a nice touch. I will say the portion is on the smaller side for the price (about $7-$8), but the quality is outstanding, so it feels worth it for a treat. Honeymee has some really good soft serve at a pretty reasonable price! I tried both the honeycomb and chocolate flavors. Both were tasty, and the soft serve itself was smooth and creamy. I tried Honeymee twice. First time, I got the sea salt caramel milkshake which was small for the price, but very tasty! I enjoyed the sea salt crunches. Second time, I got the Sweetie, which is milk ice cream with honey drizzled on it. Again, the portion sizes are quite small for what they charge. The honey was above average but there was nothing special about the milk ice cream. The Food: We got the Ube Cashew Brownie and the Jasmine calamansi iced tea. The former is like a traditional brownie but instead of chocolate it's made of ube (purple yam), which was moist, sweet but not too sweet, and absolutely delicious. All that goodness was balanced by the cashews. The Jasmine Calamansi Iced Tea, which as the name connotes, combines Jasmine tea and Calamansi (an Asian citrus) juice. I'm not big on either but itself, but together this drink made for a refreshing drink. The Service: Everyone who works there is top notch: fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. The Setting: It's located in the Tustin District, which has one of the worst engineered parking lots in Southern California. Firstly, the ingresses and egresses snarl traffic like crazy. Secondly, there are no parking structures, so it's tough to find a good spot up close during peak hours. The Interior: The cafe itself is narrow so there's not a ton of space to hangout I'd you're with a big crowd. It's nicely decorated and relatively clean, though the trash can was hard to find and filled to the brim. Plus, there weren't a ton of napkins. The Price: I would have given this place a perfect 5 out of 5 were it not for the higher-than-normal prices and the horrific parking situation. The Conclusion: Cafe 86 is our go-to spot when we have a sugar craving and don't mind paying a little bit more to get Filipino-inspired dessert.

There are many flavors to choose from, and you get to sample as many flavors as you want. My favorite is the strawberry cheesecake, where you can taste bits of cheesecake chunks. Definitely would recommend.
