So I just got out of work and I had been craving some Chinese food ALLL DAYYY , especially a place where I know I'm getting Great Portions, Amazing Service, and all for a Reasonable price. So when I walked into Hong Kong Express , I was immediately greeted by a charismatic woman who continued to tell me to take a look at the food she had in the trays, & was patient with me as I looked, almost as if she knew I had never been there. It was then 30 min until closing and she made the ambiance feel as if I had all day, I then ordered the combo B which is rice, chow mien and 2 entrees , I replaced the rice with all chow mien and got the teriyaki chicken and mushroom chicken with a 3 entree of spicy orange chicken. The woman , I forgot to ask for her name; then continued to ask me if there was anything else I may need and want and I proceeded to look around and saw that they had arizona iced tea beverages in the cooler so I continued to pay and I asked her how her days been and she had voiced that she had some young goons come in yelling nasty things at her for no apparent reason and that she wishes that she could move her restaurant out of the location but cannot due to money problems, I then paid for my food and tipped once I arrived home I demolished that food !!! My boyfriend and I were craving Hong Kong express and this location was the closest one to us. I went in and first thing I noticed were the employees were not wearing gloves as they were scooping our food and ringing us up. With or without Covid, I'd expect them to be more hygienic and wear gloves when serving food. I ordered a party tray of chow mein, a tray of short ribs, and a small side of kung pao chicken. The portions were huge as expected which we loved HOWEVER it did not taste as good as the one in orange county. The chow mein lacked flavor, the short ribs were small but tasted okay, and the kung pao chicken literally had 4 pieces of chicken and the rest were vegetables. On a positive note, they did make our party trays order fresh so I do appreciate that. Overall the food and hygiene practice was a bit disappointing and personally would not come back again. read more

So so much food. And it's all amazingly delicious!! My only negative thing to say is: I did ask for the regular orange chicken, because I can't do spicy. And also got the green bean chicken, now I've eaten my fair share of green bean chicken and never had it be spicy so I didn't even think to ask or taste it. And boy was it freaking spicy. Wow. But if spicy is your thing I'm sure it would be good. Other than that though, the chow mein was on point! And fried rice was best I've had in a long time! And that fried chicken, omg amazing!!!!!! Stayed at the best western down the street, was craving Chinese, and looked on here(yelp) for good reviews how this place has 4 stars is beyond me, because this is not even 2 star worthy. The chow mein was orange dyed, soggy, and tasted powdery(like they had been over cooked). Looked up Chinese food restaurants because we are new to the area, the customer service was great. The lady who served my food packed a lot in and wasn't too expensive. She was so sweet and kept thanking me. My bf and I enjoyed the food a lot, after a ten minute drive home and jumping in the shower before I ate, the orange chicken managed to stay crispy! do not go here if you want them to owe you money . i paid with my apple pay and obviously it took out the money out of my iphone wallet but they told me it didnt go through, that was on febraury 7th 2023 & i still havent got my money back. everytime i go the owner isnt there. my husband had the same problem but with his bank card and he got his money back a month later because he had seen the owner. the cashier told me i should be able to get my money back because it was "voided" . the food is good i'm not going to lie but i don't want to get robbed again. read more

We stopped here for a quick dinner and it was great! The whole thing was but what stood out was the customer service and friendliness. We have three kids and asked for various things after our food, our baby made a mess in the floor under her high chair (we always cleanup before leaving) the young woman there hurried over when she saw my husband with the broom and dust pan and offered to clean it up, which my husband didn't mind doing. She gave us extra plates and cups without hesitation and and kept saying how cute the baby and girls were. She and the young man working had a smile the whole time and cared for customers quickly, efficiently and in a respectful and happy manner.
