Okay. So I thought I was getting an amazing deal (bargain) when I bought two 2 item combo plates and the girl filled the box to the brim with chow mein and broccoli beef and then the bbq pork and the box wouldn't close. She did this with the other plate too, but it had green bean chicken with teriyaki chicken... As I was paying, I was debating on asking the owner if she knew her employee was overloading the plates, cuz $6 is a real bargain for what we were getting. I had to run to the nearby taco bell to grab some plastic sporks to eat. 5 minutes later I'm eating opening my box and it smells like spoiled food... I try to bypass it and think maybe it's the noodles cuz alot of Chinese fast food chow mein smells like that. 10 minutes later, my wife and I are running inside to look for the bathrooms. I wanted Chinese food for lunch and was leaning towards Panda Express... then I went to Target for a quick errand and noticed Hong Kong Express in the corner of my eye. And last but not least, and the thing that just irked me the most..., they had the most cheap wooden chopsticks I have ever used. Ok so I've noticed that this place has had some bad reviews but it is just a quick service spot whose prices are what you go for. But even with that being the case this is one of the best Chinese food locations in Pico Rivera and Montebello. They are just like mall style quality and don't get me wrong it is good. These items are well done and have great flavor. I have gone to this location before yelping and I have gone over 20 times because it is next to the Walmart that I go to. So I definitely like their Orange chicken and so do the rest of my four family members. I also enjoy the teriyaki chicken that is grilled and not dry also their Kung Poa chicken is good also. I hope people will give it a shot and try to compare it to Panda Express not PF Chang's and don't forget about getting more bang for your buck. read more

Went to get food for my girls and while cutting up the broccoli for my little one I found a cockroach in the food. I took it up to the lady that had served me and without even saying anything she knew I had found a critter in the food. Came here yesterday since my boyfriend loves Chinese food. I don't really know why he likes this place all that much. The food is good but not the best. The customer service isn't that great.. At all. When we asked one of the women what sauce the egg roll came with she basically yelled it at us. We ate there and when my boyfriend got up to get a bag to go, the lazy woman who was at the cash register was sitting at a table and yelled all loud if he needed something. Well, of course.
