The only reason why it's not a 5 star is because my chow few wasn't cut more the noodles where really long and hard to eat and o wish the meat on it would of been cut a bit smaller other then that everything was AMAZING got the chow few and the lunch special along with egg rolls and dim sum shrimp dumplings will definitely go back! If you are looking for inexpensive Chinese food, this is the place to go! The food is a great deal and the portion sizes are large! It has healthier options and it has the fried options when you want that. The healthier options that I would recommend is Hunan chicken(or beef) or the broccoli beef with steamed rice. Human chicken is more on the sweeter side of you don't order it spicy. The almond chicken, general Tsaos chicken and sweet and sour pork are delicious! Their fried rice and chow mein are also delicious. The chicken lo mein is good too. For something like dessert I recommend the egg custard, steamed cup cake and coconut cake are great. read more

Dim Sum disaster. The shrimp dumplings were paste filled and boiled in some kind of fish water. Horrible. The BBQ pork was thin sliced tough unseasoned pork loin roast somebody slid in the oven when they realized they were out. This is the ultimate hidden gem. We came because of the Unlimited Dim Sum. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the server was very helpful. The Dim Sun is really a complete meal with Sweet and hot or egg drop soup, several varieties of buns, rolls, and dumplings as well as lemon, almond, or sweet and sour chicken. All the planets had to have been in alignment for me to knowingly order bad Chinese food. It's the same quality as Panda Express, and not any different from what you'd get at a mall food court. I had low expectations, and Hong Kong Express delivered. This is absolutely 100% white man's Chinese food. It's not bad, but it's not that good either. It's edible. The portions are generous, but it's super greasy. I wouldn't recommend this to someone looking for authentic Cantonese or Hong Kong cooking (we got it pretty good in Seattle), but if you're too lazy to go out and want something fast, then this would be a passable option. read more

This weekend a craving for Chinese food Struck! I was at home decking the halls and didn't want to leave so I figured I'd order in for delivery. The order arrived accurate and extremely early which was a very nice surprise as since I've lived in Spokane ordering for deliver (besides pizza) always takes a bit longer then estimated. The delivery man was also very pleasant and had a huge smile on his face, that was nice to see. However the food quality itself was not what I expected after paying $50 for 3 items; Po Po Plater Generals Chicken Yang Chow Fried Rice The Po Po plater was the least favorite. Chicken skewer under cooked, pork dry and discolored, chicken pieces and shrimp rubbery and dry. The egg rolls were good though. Generals Chicken was under seasoned and had barely any sauce on it. The texture was a bit mealy as well and it arrived just luke-warm, which was weird since the deliver was so quick. The fried rice, under seasoned but the texture was nice. Maybe next time we should try eating in, and that would be a different experience... I just haven't found delivery Chinese food here in Spokane that is worthy of anything higher then 2 stars (and that's for early deliver and kind delivery man). read more

We were walking. When we got home we didn't have any gravy for the almond chicken so my husband went back. I ordered the fried shrimp appetizer #tastedGREAT, the shrimp with lobster sauce #VERYdelicious, fried rice #soGood, and a bag of almond cookies for dessert #YUM !! the entire order was amazing ! WOW, I'm kind of surprised by the reviews here. I'm thinking that some of the people rate it highly because the food is edible/passable Americanized Chinese food on Division, which is a big plus for Spokane. So maybe they get high ratings because people were thinking they were going to get the dreck that Cathy Inn serves. Or maybe it's because of the cheap price, ala Atilano's downtown - lot's of crappy food at a cheap price and they get high ratings. Maybe it's because the family that runs the place are genuinely very nice people and love your business. However if we ignore all of that and just rate them on the food what you have is a buffet that offers a decent selection of mediocre food - think mall quality. Ordering off the menu can be hit (better quality) or miss (same mall food quality). The honest bottom line is you will get mediocre to slightly above mediocre food here at decent prices. If you compare this to other Spokane Chinese restaurants you will probably get better food here.
