THIS REVIEW IS FOR WEI WEI TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE We ordered several dishes, but the sweet and sour pork with pineapple was completely unacceptable. The pineapple was spoiled. I knew immediately after the first bite and stopped eating it. The taste and smell were clearly wrong. After returning home, I began to feel very uncomfortable and ended up throwing up. This made the situation even more serious. Serving food in this condition is unsafe and irresponsible. The service was just as bad. Our server, Wei Wei, had a terrible attitude from the moment she seated us. She appeared unhappy and unwelcoming. No one checked on us during the entire meal. Staff only came to drop off the food and later to bring the bill. There was no service at all, yet we were still expected to tip. If the service had been polite and professional, I would have been more understanding about the food issue. However, because the service was so poor and there was no care or follow-up, I have decided to report this incident to the health department. This is specifically about the terrible service we received from the female manager on shift this morning (short hair, Chinese lady, running the registers on the third floor). I totally understand that it's a holiday and that the restaurant was busy. However, we ordered 14 dishes during dim sum. We arrived around 11:45 a.m., placed our order, and had only half of our dishes after an hour. When we attempted to inquire about the remaining items, this individual assumed we were ready to check out. I stopped her as she was walking away and explained that we were actually asking about our order. She responded in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner, saying "it'll come when it does," and then threw our order list back onto the table. I responded that we had been waiting patiently for over half an hour. She then continued to walk away with no regard for us. I'm livid, as we have never been treated with such a lack of professionalism here. Her irritated tone and complete disregard were incredibly disappointing. I can't abide by this. I understand if your restaurant isn't kid friendly and you advertise as such, but this place carries high chairs and the notion that kids aren't welcome. We went for Saturday dim sum and were seated on the third floor promptly. Food wise, most items were mediocre at best, but it was the service that really stood out. Now, I've been eating in canto restaurants my whole life so I'm used to the gruff attitude. But, never, never have I ever been told or seen another family been told that their kids aren't welcome and should stay out of the way. Then, when we asked this same person for to-go boxes, she rolled her eyes at us. You can bet I won't be returning. Showed up on a Saturday with a reservation at 11:15 AM for a party of 7. Apparently, a reservation doesn't mean a thing unless you back it up with persistent follow-up, mild nagging, and the patience of a monk. After 35 minutes of loitering awkwardly near the host stand, we were finally seated at 11:50. But not before a bizarre mini-adventure: up to the third floor, through what seemed like a staff-only kitchen, and into a mystery dining room we didn't know existed. Felt like we were on an escape room side quest. Enter Luis, the hero we didn't know we needed. We found him on the second floor, possibly glowing with hospitality vibes. He kindly rescued us, apologized (even though none of this was his fault), and personally escorted us to our table like some sort of customer service knight. He checked on us multiple times, took our order quickly, and just generally made everything feel 1000% better. If Luis isn't employee of the month, someone seriously needs to reevaluate their priorities. The food? Solid. Classic dim sum--fresh, flavorful, and served in very generous portions. Shoutout to the vegetable dumplings for being unexpectedly delicious, and the shrimp egg rolls for hitting that golden-brown, crispy sweet spot. Came here with my parents who let me in on a great tip: go early for the discounted menu! They have some interesting dishes that you don't commonly see (e.g., soy sauce duck feet, sticky rice made with three kinds of grains). I wouldn't say it's a top dim sum spot for this area, but if you get the discounted menu it's a pretty good deal! Also of note, there is a super tiny parking lot right next door that is nearly impossible to get into, but there's also a bigger lot half a block away. Parking: there is a small lot next to the restaurant, but if you continue down El Camino there is a dedicated larger parking lot right across the street at the corner.  It is marked for Hong Kong Palace Parking only. Family style dining...meaning large tables available. Service/ Front of the House: greeted and seated immediately. Service/Serving Staff: helpful in describing and making suggestions. They came around and replaced dirty plates. Food: we ordered Family style. Crab & Fish maw soup $22.00 - very flavorful, but add some black pepper. Steamed Chicken $32.00 - served cold with minced ginger and oil. Peking Duck $48 for a whole duck- crispy skin.    Meat is tender.  I just which the skin was a bit more crispy. The buns that were served were really tiny. Honey Walnut shrimp $22- really big shrimp.  Lightly battered.  Not overly sauced. Salt and Pepper Lobster $66.00-  ok... flavor is very light.  Steamed then lightly floured and flash deep fried.  Lobster is chopped  up so you can pick what you want. Oyster and Tofu clay pot $24.00- the oysters are dried oysters and not fresh.  The Tofu is really soft. Unless you are used to dried oyster the flavor can be a bit intense. Steamed fish $55.00 - moist.   Not much flavor . They dress the fish at the table Sautéed pea  shoots with garlic $22.00 - yummy but some pieces are on the mature side so it can be a bit tough HK Style Peking ribs $20.00 - more like sliced pork chops.  Not boneless pieces.  Flavor is really light. Beef short ribs with tofu $29.99- tender braised beef with steamed broccoli. The Tofu is creamy.  Very flavorful.   The sauce is light and a bit peppery.  This is the winner for tonight  Complimentary dessert- red bean soup with kelp.  Sweet and a bit fishy tasting.  Not my cup of tea. Value: $375.15 (Tip included $67.53) total $442.68.  $49.19 per person including tip and tax.  Lots of food, not bad for banquet level food. Restroom: Men's Room has 2 urinals and 1 toilet with 1 sink.  The automatic hand dryer was broken at the time of my visit. Hong Kong Palace has taken over the former Tai Wu spot. My mom likes to come here when it was Tai Wu so we thought we would try this new place. We had a party of 8 for lunch. We sat up on the third floor. The dining area looked nice with the chandeliers, but as we went up the elevator to the third floor my brother commented it looked dirty as we got off looks like the hallway to the kitchen area. My brother is used to many high end restaurants lol. The staff was busy, but one particular waitress dressed in a black blazer was rude throughout the meal. She took forever to take orders, bring even water and utensils. Only one dish came out with a big serving spoon( the crispy noodles which is hard to serve with one spoon anyway) and none of the other dishes came out with a utensil. I found my 3 yo toddler grabbed the chow mein spoon to eat with bc we kept waiting for utensils and I guess she couldn't wait anymore lol! At least she was resourceful- when you are hungry you just have to eat! Service subpar til a Hispanic waiter came on near the end of the meal- he was good and attentive. The woman waitress you had to constantly look for and get up to find just to even get the bill or get any water from the beginning or utensils! We gave up on the utensil idea and just used our own chopsticks to get the food (we are family anyway- but with Covid, etc still....). Dim sum was just average dim sum. The prevailing theme that I asked how the others at the table what they thought about the food? Every single person said it was too salty and I said oh I thought it was just me lol! Yes, it was on the salty side but still able to eat it. The best dim sum plates we had there was the eggplant stuffed with shrimp 3.5 stars. The fried crispy noodles with seafood was ok as well 3.5 stars. The fried calamari was good but too salty, but strangely enough my toddler loved it and kept turning the lazy Susan to get more fried calamari- she loved that dish. I will give that a 3.7. I normally do not like jook( toddler and great grandma liked this) with chopped duck eggs and I think a small dish( I'm not sure if that dish belonged to the jook) with stringy something and one scallop- nah 2.5 for me. Leaf wrapped rice standard 3.0 but another leaf wrapped "grains"- not really much different but seemed harder "rice" or grain 2.0 stars like it wasn't cooked all the way was what it tasted like, but that may be how it is supposed to be? Dumplings and other dim sum were all about 3.0 just ok. One meat patty round thing my mom ordered- idk what that was but didn't taste good to us at all 0 stars. My toddler wanted the piglet buns so I got that for her and we loved that one! She ate two whole ones herself! She usually is a picky eater and doesn't eat much, but those few dishes she liked a lot 4 stars there for her. So averaged about 2.8 stars overall for the food. Suggestions: be less liberal with the salt, have tables already with dishes and utensils, send plates or dishes out with utensils or at least have a few utensils (and napkins) to pick up food with already stocked up at the table. Have a pitcher of cold water sitting on the table, so we don't have to ask for water or anything. That way it is already there and saves you time. Anyway, it would be ok if the waitress wasn't rude in attitude about everything and still didn't bring anything! Attitude goes a long way when you want to just enjoy the meal and we are easy going people! So to be a success, fix a few of those shortfalls, bc there is just too much competition with good restaurants in that area! Important tip: I think it is before noon there is a special discounted menu for the dim sum. Just have to be careful you don't order the same dish on the other menu or you get double. We spent 233. Hong Kong Palace took over the location that was previously Tai Wu. These folks also run Hong Kong Lounge and Lai Hong Lounge in San Francisco. They have an early bird discount menu for those arriving before noon on weekdays. Its a great deal and we took advantage of it big time. Menu looks the same as Hong Kong Lounge in SF. This is not as good as HL Peninsula but fills the bill for solid dim sum at reasonable prices. Service was okay, not great. You need to hail them down for each need. Food Review: Cabbage and pork bun ($3.50) early bird price - is cheap but decent. 3 small buns with a bit of soup. 8.5/10 Roast Duck ($5.99) early bird price - is really done well. Nice skin and juicy as heck. Great price. 9/10 Noodle Roll in XO Sauce ($6) early bird price - lots of rolls with a slight kick. I came here with my family the day before lunar new year to have "gathering dinner". It was given that it would be a busy night, especially it was on a Friday. On Thursaday, the day before dinner, they informed us that we couldn't order a la carte from the menu. Instead, I had to choose between $588 or $688 fixed menu. Since there were diet restrictions within my family, I hesitantly ordered the $688 menu (10 people course- $900 with tax and gratity) since I couldn't find another spot for 10 people in time for dinner tomorrow (a strategic move on their end). Knowingly the dishes were all prepared in bulk and in advance, I didn't think it would come out frozen (literally I bited into crunchy ice cream liked tofu- yuck). Afterwards, the dishes all came in different order and were ALL luke warm. We had the fish as our last entree (before dessert) instead of fried rice. Speaking of that, the portion size was extremely small and couldn't fully feed 8 adults. Each couple had to share a bowl of rice. The soup was even worse, lack of ingredients with heavy corn starch, and each person probably had 4 tablespoons worth. I will be coming back EVERY WEEK. Food is yummy, and the portions are generous. Go at discount hour, and you can get even better prices and special desserts only offered on the discount menu. I recommend the purple rice mochi!! We get 3 orders of it every time we go, so we can bring most of them home to enjoy later. The service is great also. The staff is nice to us, and they are efficient. We came in at 12:15, and even though we were waiting for a table to leave, they still let us order from the discount menu and honored the prices. Discount hours: before 12:30 on weekdays, and before 11:30 on weekends. Siu mai is amazing. Bbq pork buns are amazing. Duck is amazing. We ordered the salt and pepper jumbo shrimp on the discount menu for $11, and we were expecting maybe 5 pieces, but we got a giant plate with 8 HUGE shrimp. read more

It is an airy sweet pastry/dessert that you don't find on menus often. The other items like siu mai, glutinous rice chicken, beef balls, and turnip cake are decent. It took 30 minutes for them to bring out the dishes, but since they're a newly set up/team, so I understand why it took them a while. This is our first and last time dining at this restaurant. The service and food were mediocre. We asked for the hot sauce and ice water numerous times and were being ignored. One of the waiters sighed and rolled his eyes when we asked him for the forks. He said that he was very busy and no time to bring forks to us. So my mom said by the time you're free to bring forks, we were already be done eating. After we finished eating and paid the bill, one of the waitresses had the audacity to ask for more tips! UMM HELLO! You gave us horrible service and expect a big tip? I told her their service sucks; therefore we only left $9 tips lol. The food was blend and horrible. Don't waste your money. Attended an event today, the host rented out the entire 3rd floor. Quality/Quantity - We had the following, sorry I did not get the specific names as I believe the host custom made this menu...? I could not find all these dishes on the 3 menus I picked up on the way out of the restaurant. You will just have to look at my pictures. Fruit - Started off with a plate of fruit. How refreshing. Sorry, the table with kids next to us ate all the strawberries before I was able to take my picture. Appetizer Dish - This was good. Soup - Okay. If you are following, you know I am not much of a soup person, but this was pretty good. Good flavors. But I gave most of mine to my wife (who is a soup person) as I knew the other courses were going to be more to my liking. Eggplant - This was amazing!! This was actually my favorite dish. Breaded and fried, of course. I even liked the plating. :) See pictures. Beef with Veggies - This was good. The beef was tender. No left overs with this dish. Beijing Peking Duck - Okay. Finger foods do not work well with people that are dressed up. Plus we were surprised that the sauce and onions were not more pronounced. Crab - Not sure what kind of sauce they used. But it was not to my taste. But the crab was of good size. This is a very interactive dish. Very messy, so most people did NOT eat as they did not want to get their beautiful outfits dirty. Veggies - See picture. These were supposed to be bitter...? But it was not, interesting. Jumbo Prawns - These were HUGE and cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, and tender, moist, and juicy on the inside. Another dish that was too messy for others to eat, so more for me :) Lobster with Noodles - This was good, and I was lucky enough to get mostly tail pieces. I am learning when people dress up, THEY do not want to get "dirty." It does not bother me and my dry cleaner really appreciates it, lol. So more lobster for me. :) Dessert - The hot fried green pandan with black sesame filling was AMAZING! It was still hot when it was served. The almond cookie was okay, nothing special. Cake - Provided by the host. Sorry I forgot to take pictures. The 1st floor also had tanks of live seafood. See picture. Atmosphere - Good size location, 3 floors. Main floor on the first floor, special events usually on the 3rd floor. Bathrooms on 1st and 2nd floors only (at least I did not see any on the 3rd floor, maybe I missed it?) Small private parking lot next door, and I believe two more lots a block or so down. Not an issue for us, as we are very close to the host and go here early to help set up, etc. Full bar, but N/A for us as the host provided wine, and many of the other tables had all sorts of "drinks." This used to be Tai Wu, which I wasn't a fan of. I remember going there for dinner with my family, and it was expensive with small portions. None of the dishes were memorable. I've been there for a few celebratory banquets, and the food was alright. When we drove up to this spot, we were surprised to find that it was a new restaurant. A few family friends were visiting and they wanted to meet here. It wasn't too packed on a Thursday, and we sat in a private room with a TV and karaoke system on the 2nd floor. We shared a bunch of dim sum, and nothing really stood out to me. Service was spotty too since we were in a room. *Verdict: Similar thoughts as its predecessor Tai Wu. We initially tried getting a table for 8 on Saturday the day before Father's Day at HL Peninsula Pearl and Grand Harbour but both were fully booked. Our fault for not getting reservations. However, this restaurant was relatively empty. We opted for the $500 preset birthday menu. Yes, you read correctly. $500 not including tax yet. For undercooked, flavourless food!! It was also my FIL birthday. The shrimp balls, which were deep fried, were gooey in the middle... undercooked raw shrimp. I was so upset bc I took a bite in already. I had to force myself to throw up... well, for medical reasons I can't eat raw seafood. This is just so unprofessional and dangerous. You guys have one job. To serve food that's cooked!!! Another dish had iceberg lettuce underneath mushrooms. I mean, is this place that cheap to use iceberg lettuce??? When at the end after tax and tip, the bill was way over $600. The soy chicken was not flavorful at all either. Only thing that was decent were the e-noodles and beef dish. The other shrimp dish was OVER cooked. Chewy and very dry. They were probably scared and they undercooked shrimp balls. No one touched the dish with the broccoli and seafood on top. Not sure why the fish was crunchy per one guest. We were staying next to this restaurant for the night and decided it had an exceptional menu. Some items were completely new to me. We were the first customers of the evening and received good service. The building was probably a century old with soffit ceilings and amazing sconces. They had at least a half dozen fish tanks holding all manner of fish and crustaceans. While we reviewed the menu a steady stream of people, maybe fifty, made their way upstairs to the private dining rooms. We started with flowery hot tea and honey glazed bbq pork.The tea was delicious and the pork was awesome. We followed the appetizer with dry fry garlic string beans. It was cooked in a slightly sweet sauce and the beans were crisp and tasty. They also have an extensive list of dim sum and buns. We availed ourselves to the shrimp dumplings and shrimp and chive dim sum. Both were delicious. We finished with the custard piglet buns. It too was incredibly delicious. I wish I could eat more but we're planning a return for the Peking duck and numerous other treats. Including a generous tip, we were out the door for $100. read more

This restaurant changed owners and name. Thought we'd try it out for a possible banquet venue. I have to say, the dim sum had some high points and not too many low. We ordered beef cheung fun, rolled tofu with pork (sun suet geez), beef with preserved veggies, chive and shrimp pan fried dumpling, wood ear dumpling, beef meatballs, and garlic pea sprouts with tofu. I would say most of the dishes were surprisingly good but definitely pass on the garlic pea sprouts with tofu. It tasted like it was just boiled. I liked the wood ear dumplings because they were different but the hubs and son did not. Hahahah. The beef meat balls were super tender and usually I'm not a fan but I did like it. Service was quick and the ambiance was nice. We will be back for a banquet so I'll let you know then! The worst dim sum place in tne Bay Area. First, we waited almost 20 mins to have our first dish coming out the last dish was out in 30 mins. Hong Kong Palace was 1/2 empty at 11:30am on a Tuesday. It quickly filled up. There aren't dim sum carts roaming the floor. The ordering system is marking the menu and submitting it to a staff member. There were only two people working on 25+ tables which is grossly understaffed. Customers had to refill their own tea pots, which is very odd for a dim sum restaurant. I was like, why are people walking into the kitchen with their tea pots? The waiter mis-marked our ordering sheet and some of the dim sum we ordered never came out. The first item came out after 30 minutes of waiting. The last item arrived over an hour after we ordered. So, if you have only an hour for lunch on a weekday, I can't recommend Hong Kong Palace. Most of the food tasted below average. The exception was the tofu skin rolls. My friend sudden got up and went to the washroom to throw up. He later came back and said it was rancid. The noise level was OK for a conversation over tea. The only redeeming factor of Hong Kong Palace is the menu. Some of the dim sum sounded interesting. The food is below average. The kitchen is slow and the service is abysmal. Was a 3.5/5 Came here with my family on a Sunday morning. Service is still... in the works. Online indicates the restaurant opens at 10am, but when we arrived at 10, the server said they open at 10:30. We had to point out that the hours indicated on the door says 10 am. They opened the door and let us sit in. After a moment, we decided to get the menu ourselves. The same server came to let us know the daily special dish on sale. After acknowledging, we asked if they had a pen for us to mark down what we wanted, in which we got a "huh, you didn't grab one yourself?" ...I feel like Asian restaurant services are usually a hit or miss, but majority of the dim sum places I typically go to usually provide a menu and pen for the table.* What we got: - Taro cake ~~which was too dry for my liking. I had to ask for some chili sauce to accompany this because it was borderline powdery dry. - Turnip cake ~~decent turnip cake, thought it was heavier on the starch and less on the turnip. - Steamed shrimp dumpling (Har gao) ~~decent shrimp dumpling. - Shumai ~~decent shumai - Fried Pork Puff (Ham sui gok) ~THE STAR OF THE SHOW. I believe this was the best item on the table. We got this fresh out of the kitchen and it was delicious. - Homemade Fried Fen Gao ~~compared to the ham sui gok, this was less interesting. However, exterior was more airy and less sweet and filling was more bland compared to the ham sui gok. I believe this is more traditional style, which may suit some more than others. I recommend trying this though. - Tofu skin roll with pork~~decent. very saucy. - Beef chow fun ~~decent. however, missing some extra "wok hei" but the taste reminds me of the ones I'd get from my childhood. - Baked bbq pork bun ~~this was the second-best thing on the table. Fresh out of the oven, the exterior top layer was crunchy and added to the bbq pork bun. -Chive dumpling ~~this batch had a starchy skin, which made it dry rather than giving it the nice bounce and chew a regular pork chive dumpling would have. The sear wasn't deep so by the time the dish came to our table, the residual oil had made the exterior soggy. - Steamed Pork Rib noodle roll ~~this was decent. If you want steamed pork ribs and steamed noodle roll in one dish and don't have a specific preference for the shrimp or beef noodle rolls, I highly suggest getting this dish. The pork ribs were really soft tender and juicy, and the dish altogether was decently good. Coming here first thing in the morning was an advantage as the baked good and fried foods came out fresh from the kitchen. Definitely, the Ham sui gok and the baked BBQ pork buns were my favorite of the spread ordered. Given that this place is fairly new compared to its counterpart in SF, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that they're still working on the consistency in food and service. Compared to the later stages of Tai Wu, I believe this branch of Hong Kong Lounge offers better quality dim sum, and has real potential in Millbrae. I'm glad to see they kept some of the interiors Tai Wu had, but revamped some of the lighting. Will return, as there are some other items on the menu I would like to try. read more

We decided to try this place because it was "New". Came here on Saturday and got sited immediately. We were on the 3rd floor with a dozen of other tables. Long story short, the food was only okay and the wait/ service was terrible. Given that there are so many other dim sum places around, I don't think I would come back again. I understand that dim sum is made to order, but 30 minutes for food to come out for a restaurant is outrageous. We ordered a mango pudding for dim sum, and they just completely forgot about it until we said we wanted to cancel it and get the bill. We finally decided to try this place under a new name. Seeing from other reviews for some occasions they require you to stick to some preset menus, which like the previous Tai Wu required us to have just the Mother's Day menu, which is why we never came back again. But back to this new place. We were seated downstairs for dim sum around 10am. We ordered and it took a long time for the food to come, which might mean they're steaming it fresh, or for whatever other reason be slow. While we were waiting for our food, my observant 3 year old daughter notices a fly on the wall/post and lots of flies flying around. She kept saying, "Mommy there are flies." The worker was also using towels to swat the flies. When my daughter kept talking about it, we asked her what we can do, should we shoo it away and she said, "No we should use the towel" because she saw the worker use the towel. Overall we enjoyed the food. Here are comments on some of the dishes. Fried turnip cakes: very tasty, a hint spicy Siu Mai: large, good Baked pork buns: the bun part is very crispy and delicious, lots of filling, but we all liked the bun part more Sesame rolls: I don't know what's considered a good black sesame roll but I like ones that you can unroll. This one is so tight and stuck together, you can't feel the layers. Piggy custard buns: lots of filling, came really hot, cracks on the outer skin/bun. After it cooled, it became firm and dense, like it was bought frozen and just resteamed. Some coconut flavor. Chicken feet: average, a bit spicy Then we noticed a fly at our table and I don't know what happened. It was a fat fly that maybe wasn't flying well and my dad put a plate on top of it and trapped it or smashed it. We told the worker and they told us it was the summer and hot so there are flies. Then he left the fly there and came back with plates and asked if we wanted new plates. At first we kept the fly covered because we didn't want to look at it. But when he didn't do anything, we uncovered it and eventually he came and got a tissue to grab it and take it away. By the way, we came at almost opening time. The parking lot is tiny and half of it is handicapped parking. We got one of the spots and saw the person parked next to us is a worker. Seems like if all the workers parked here, there would be no spaces for patrons. Interesting. Please excuse my fly focused review. We might still give it another try. Maybe if we sat upstairs, there would be less flies. I don't know. read more

We had a private room where we sang karaoke. The roasted piglet needed to be pre-ordered. They also had this specific live fresh shrimp I've never had. It was larger and sweeter than the ones the restaurants typically have. Everything else was ok. The eggplant was a unique dish. read more

I've been meaning to submit a review for this place and finally got around to doing so! Just wanted to recommend this restaurant as I will definitely be visiting again. We went on a weekend and there was a mah jong tournament and another party going on at the same time. It instilled confidence in me that the restaurant was popular even before I sat down to eat. The restaurant was lively but the service was good and the food came out quickly. I enjoyed the food. I was especially impressed by the bolo bao-like pork buns (baked pork buns on the menu) that were so delicious and unique. The restaurant is on a big street but they have multiple parking lots within close walking distance. I recommend looking up the parking on the map before navigating to the restaurant. read more

We went as a party of 10. Arrived at 12 noon on a Sunday & the restaurant was only about 60% full. No wait, lots of empty tables & we were seating immediately. Place felt really dirty - from the chair covers to the carpet to the sticky highchairs. Food was delicious though. Everything we ordered (minus the steamed bbq pork buns) were delicious. Service was absolutely TERRIBLE. Half our food came out fairly quickly but the other half took forever to come. There was a solid 30 minutes of waiting for the 2nd half of our order to arrive. In that 30 mins we had to ask or server & 2 different managers to check on it. We were given answers of "oh the receipt printer stopped working so the bottom half of your order was cut off". Not true, we had items missing from the top or our receipt too. They kept telling us "it's coming out now" when it wasn't. After 30 mins our food finally came but still we were missing 2 dishes. At this point we were completely done eating. There was no food left on our table. It was 1.5 hours into our meal, kids getting restless, so we asked them to just cancel the last 2 items so we can pay for the bill & leave. One older male manager, took our receipt paper & held it hostage. He wouldn't let us cancel the items & would not give us the bill. He said the food was coming right away. We told him it's been a really long time already & cannot wait any longer. He ignored us & instead began to loudly tell the other female manager that we wanted to cancel items & were being difficult. Another 15 minutes later, 1 dish arrived. At this point our entire table was staring at management because we were just sitting there. No food on our table, no bill to pay for because they wouldn't give us one.. after another 5 mins the female manager came over & finally cancelled our last item & gave us the bill. What's mind blowing is that the restaurant was almost completely empty. What could possibly be taking so long? That interaction ruined our entire experience. Instead of taking accountability and apologizing for the wait, we were met with attitude & felt like we were being held hostage. Such a waste of our time too. Will not be going back & would not recommend. Unless every other dimsum spot in the area has an insane wait & we have absolutely no options, we will not return. Go down the street to Yan Peninsula or Asian Pearl instead. read more

I went here with my family today for a table of 5. I walked in and no waiter or waitress greeted us and asked how many of us. We saw people walking up the 3rd floor so we followed. As we were at the 3rd floor, again no waiter and waitresses greeted us. We sat down on an empty table. We asked for jasmine tea and they said they don't have it. They offered us something else. We quickly ordered some dim sum and some came in 15 minutes. We asked for hot sauce and pepper and bowls for our porridge. The waitress said okay. However, nothing came, I asked four times for the bowls from different waitress. That was a good 15 minutes. The porridge was cold already. Then I want to cancel the rest of the dim sum they we ordered because it's been over 45 minutes wait. The waitress said it too much trouble to cancel and she quickly went down to the first floor to check. They rushed to give the rest of the dim sum to us. I asked for boxes and checks right after the dim sum came. The waitress said okay, next time if you are in a rush, don't come to dim sum. This is my first experience at this place and will be my last time visit this place. The dim sum was under average. Service was awful!!!!!! Will never come back. read more
