3 item combo with Sweet and sour pork, BBQ pork, fried rice, chow mein and egg flower soup
P R.

Combo that also included Egg Drop Soup. Absolutely delicious food and service here. I ordered the 3 item Combo and was able to eat about half. The sweet and sour port was tender, the BBQ pork moist and the chow mein pretty good. This is the restaurant I have been seeking here. Most definitely give this place a try if you seek the traditional American Chinese combo plates. Soooooooo good!

Crab puffs (you get 12!)

This is a great spot for Chinese in the greys harbor area . It's a bit hidden because it is tucked away in the small town of cosmopolis but it one of the better Chinese places . Our family ordered sweet and sour chicken , sesame chicken(spicy), general Tso (spicy) , egg rolls and crab puffs . Our total was only $60 so very nicely priced especially for the portions! The egg rolls are very unique they are dipped into a batter and fried they are good but very little pork was inside them. The only complaint is the chicken was a bit over cooked and dry but everything had great flavor ! Our order took an hour to prepare for a pick up order . They are very understaffed and completely packed with inside customers ( well COVID standards packed) All in all pretty good food for the area and very friendly just super busy

Yum! The food was tasty and got to our table in about 15 minutes! The egg flower soup is SO good!

Back after Covid an the food was very good after a couple of earlier disappointments here. Seems the food is back where it used to be. Service was excellent. Same

Mongolian Beef without the Green Onions I had them not put in as I don't like them. This also includes extra beef in the order. VERY GOOD

The food was... disappointing, to put it mildly. We ordered the Family Dinner for 3 (25 dollars a…read moreperson by the way!), as well as the crab cream cheese rangoons (6 of them for 13 dollars). The rangoons were chewy, and the filling was weirdly briny and almost stale tasting. Then, we received the appetizer portion of the meal. The egg rolls and potstickers had a sour and stale taste, and the teriyaki chicken was almost tasteless. I didn't bother with the BBQ rib, but my MIL and wife thought they were tough and not worth the effort of eating. The BBQ pork was dry and sour as well, and the fried prawn was gooey inside (?!). Their sweet and sour sauce is gummy and metallic tasting, very strange. After that was the actual meal portion, and... it got worse. The almond chicken was off putting-ly sweet and mushy, the fried rice was overdone and dry, the sweet and sour pork was dry and tough (with more metallic sweet and sour sauce!), and the broccoli chicken tasted like rancid water chestnuts and was horribly salty. For nearly $100, I expected way more. Additionally, the water tasted strange (unwashed cup? bad filtering?) and the hot tea was unpleasantly bitter and needed a lot of sugar (I usually never add sugar to my tea in a Chinese restaurant). The server was very nice, I think she was the owner? The interior was very dated, and incredibly stuffy and hot despite it only being 65 degrees outside.

The Canton Cafe (original name prior to being called the Canton Restaurant), is believed to be the…read moreoldest continuously operated Chinese restaurant in the state of Washington. Dating back to around 1926, and perhaps earlier, it is a great place to grab a Cantonese style meal if you're on or around the harbor. They open late in the day for dinner service only, but also stay open quite late compared to most restaurants around the harbor. Back in the day, they stayed open even later and because of that, they became the late night hangout for musicians looking for a place to "dry out" after a late night of drinking and performing. And YES, Kurt Cobain (and family) did eat here. The establishment was spotless on my visit and service was prompt and friendly. I had the Combination#3: Pork chow mein, fried rice & sweet & sour pork. The chow mein was different than most others I've tried but was very good. All in all it was an enjoyable meal in a wonderful little restaurant steeped in history. Recipes date back almost a hundred years...want to know what those early pioneers were eating back in the "wild west" days of Washington? Here's your chance to taste history.
