If this was truly their policy, it should have been clearly communicated over the phone or at least before seating us--not after we had already committed to ordering food. When I was a kid growing up in western New York I remember two things that we got as takeout food…read more Pizza and wings or Chinese food. I grew up loving the American style Chinese that seemed to be everywhere. I decided to try Uncle Sun after passing by it several times on my way to work. I was really hoping to get that taste I remember from childhood. I ordered General Tsao's chicken with fried rice, chili oil dumplings, and chicken chow mein. I was hungry and I was excited. I'll start with the General Tsao's chicken. The pieces were too big which made it harder to eat and the chicken was pretty dry. The sauce was okay but still kind of average. The fried rice was just rice with soy sauce and little remnants of some egg. The chili oil dumplings had good flavor and were definitely the highlight of the food I got. The chow mein was also just okay with well cooked chicken but lacking enough moisture for the noodles and sauce. The prices were good and the staff was friendly and attentive. For a quick easy bite in a pinch I'd go back but otherwise I will continue my quest for good old fashioned, well made Chinese.
