We went to Sesame Place for our son's 3rd birthday celebration. At night after its firework, we were trying to find a restaurant nearby to have a quick bite. I didn't want to drive far so we picked this restaurant. But it's a truly surprise as the food was excellent and authentic. When we tasted the hot and sour soup, we were already sold. Even their drinks were superb, not to mention that the owner Kathy was so friendly and warm. It just felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend this restaurant. Well-established Chinese restaurant with an almost retro interior of a tiki room in the front and large, very traditional sitting area in the back. Service was good, almost old school with the pot of tea coming out before anything else. Overall, the food quality was good to very good plus large portions makes this a good value. This was my second time ordering from here via takeout. I am just surprised this place has been around this long. First time wasn't impressive but gave it another shot and the food was really bad. We had the fried chicken wings, they were shriveled up tiny and overcooked, sweet and sour pork, general tso chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything was terrible. The general tso glaze was like beef gravy on chicken. The sweet and sour sauce was runny. I wish I can say that something was worth coming here for but honestly it was all just very bad and to top it off portions were small. I totally wasted $50 read more

I would have to think about it a little longer, but this might be the best restaurant in Levittown. Obviously that doesn't say too much considering how poor the options in Levittown are, but Hong Luck really is good. The cocktails are good and the food is good. The building looks old and it smells old, but the ambience is still good. It doesn't look like they get much use of the very large dining room which is a surprise considering how good it is. Everything was made on time. Check. It was hot and spicy as I requested. Check. The portion size is adequate. Check. Flavorful? Not so fast. The dish I ordered was shockingly bland. Other than the hot peppers, there was no seasoning on this entree whatsoever. I was also disappointed that the tofu in this dish was not fried, which I prefer. Vegetables already get a bad rap. I LOVE Hong Luck! My family has been going here for years... since before I was born (28 years ago). It is run by the nicest family and the food is the best chinese food in the area. Everything I have gotten from there is delicious from staples like General Tso's chicken to their Mongolian BBQ Beef dish. Also, they have had the same decor forever and it's the best - everyone sits in their own little bamboo "hut" that their booth is in with blowfish lamps over each table! read more

Very cheap lunch specials that are generously sized. I would recommend getting the wonton soup as the side; it is literally packed with wontons. Plus they are very fast with delivery. I drove past this place a million times and I can say the appeal isn't great, but after reading the reviews and being disappointed by others like Hong Kong Pearl I decided it was time to take a chance. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo, but instead of the sweet and sour sauce I like to get the General Tso's sauce on the side. I also got an order of hot and sour soup, a spring roll, and vegetable lo mein. I have to say this will be my new go to Chinese restaurant locally. The chicken was cooked just right with a nice crunchy coating. The lo mein was cooked well and had good flavor. A lot of restaurants over cook the chicken or undercook the batter. The lo mein wasn't bland and didn't look like spaghetti tossed in soy sauce. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars so far is I have more to try and the portions are smaller than most as you can see from the pictures I posted, but I will say it filled me up. This used to be our favorite..... a little expensive but would go when we could. We order on Christmas Eve. Beyond dissatisfied. Below you will see a picture of shrimp with lobster sauce combo we ordered $9.50. There was not much food especially for $9.50.... I ordered fried dumplings. They served it in sauce. Needless to say they were soggy not to mention tasteless. Shrimp toast was basically white bread with grease. No flavor. For $36 dollars I could have gotten cheaper more food flavorful at the mall! The decor was very cool and the food was great. I was really surprised that the restaurant was empty around lunchtime, and I was also surprised to see that the lights were made of actual blowfish. The restaurant is not well advertised, so it can be hard to find. The portions were large, the service was quick and the food was delicious. I had the ginger beef and it was great, the mushrooms soaked up the ginger flavor like little sponges. The hot and sour soup was disappointing though, more like hot and sweet.
