Not good food. The meat is tough and chewy, the menu options are minimal and all bad and they need to work on cleaning the place up.

I am feeling generous with a three star rating. The food was average. My husband said the fish was decent. My chicken was over cooked and tough. The main turnoff for me was the ladies restroom smelled so off that I had to cover my nose, and while we were waiting for our food my feet were sticking to the floor. Not a good feeling. Yuck. I ordered the Kalua pork sandwich with fries. The fries were lightly salted and I like a lot of salt on my fries because I don't dip my fries in any sauce usually. The pork sandwich was good, but not great. The staff was definitely nice and went out of their way to make sure the customer was happy. This is by far my favorite Hawaiian restaurant on the mainland. Definitely authentic to the food I had when living in Hawaii. Worth any wait! They are pretty busy and the food is amazing! My favorite order is a 2 plate. Garlic chicken and BBQ chicken with Mac salad and white rice with sauce on top. So so good. Short ribs are good as well. Where else are you gonna get Hawaiian plate lunch in St. George? This place is starting to grow on me. Everything I've tried here is pretty good. My favorite is the sesame chicken. I've had the Hawaiian plate, BBQ chicken, Garlic chicken and teriyaki beef (all very good). If you can't decide they offer 2 or 3 choice plates and mini plates. I would recommend getting the Hawaiian plate if you don't know what you want. It comes with BBQ chicken, kalua pig, rice, mac salad and a small cup of lomilomi salmon. Next time I'll try the shave ice and guava cake. The staff are all very friendly and the place is very clean. I think there are about 8 tables and 2 big booths. It's easy to find and there are a lot of parking stalls. Very affordable and very good sized plates. Definitely worth it! read more

Today was my very first time eating at the Honolulu Grill, and I had a wonderful experience. I ordered the Honolulu Burger because I figured it would be a nice place to start, and after a brief wait I was brought an ENORMOUS sandwich with tons of meat and sauce. The service was courteous and quick, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the food was amazing. We also got a shaved ice and a slushie afterward, and they were also delicious. We ordered bbq chicken and katsu chicken. We ordered three hamburgers for our kids also. The chicken was amazing. The sauce that is came with was very delicious. Okay, I'm usually super understanding when it comes to the food business because I work for a food chain. I usually don't get upset or complain or even leave reviews at all, but seriously all I ordered was a Medium size shave ice with icecream: Passion Fruit, Blue Hawaii, Tigers Blood and snow cap on top at precisely 8:11 (stated on receipt). Tell me why did it take almost 20 minutes (17 minutes to be exact) for me to receive my order? Literally right as I went up to ask about it, is when they decided to bring it out? ON TOP OF THAT, guess what? There was no snow cap on top or icecream inside. It was kind of odd being that everyone else received their shave ice within 5 minutes, but I had to wait a substantially long amount of time and not even get exactly what I ordered. Honestly, I don't want to hear an excuse that they were probably extremely busy, because there were several different employees, and it was not busy at all. At the time that I went, there were literally a total of 5 other families in there who already had their orders, so it was only me and this other couple who didn't get their order yet (couple ordered after me). Great restaurant! Fast food setup but with quality ingredients. I had the kalua pork stir fry bowl. Tender and smoky pulled pork with minimal excess fat, over lo mein type noodles with veggies. Very tasty and great combo of flavors. All the workers are so courteous. I wish there was one local to me. I'd definitely be back if I'm in the area again! read more

We were back at St. George this past weekend for landscape photography. Our day ended early after having to do some hard hikes in the Hilldale area. My daughter had insisted we eat at Honolulu Grill after her officemate had suggested it. It took us longer to get there since the Garmin GPS directed us to go to a non existent restaurant location. Thank God for the iPhone Map ap, we finally found the restaurant. It is located sort of in a residential neighborhood. In the same plaza was a Mexican restaurant with the aroma of sizzling meats filled the parking lot air! Honolulu Grill reminded me of Hawaiian Ono in the LA area. Same style of food, just bigger helpings. It took me sometime to navigate through their different menu items. Except for a large group, composed of men and women in their late teens or early 20s, everyone else was much older. I really felt uneasy in that everyone else inside the joint (except for the 3 of us) had tattoos, piercings and colored hair! On to the food review. I ordered chicken katsu combination, my daughter had the sesame chicken and my son had the Hawaiian plate. The food was really, really good. My chicken katsu was cooked just right, not overly fried. Very good! I'm from California and visited St George for the weekend. I had read the great reviews on this place so decided to give it a try. The food was very good, and they give you a generous amount on the combo meat plate. The cucumber salad with vinegar is really good, and the macaroni is good because it was not sweet more mayo base. read more

Easy place to go if you don't want sandwiches or Mexican. They'll tell you to get the garlic chicken, but don't listen to them. You can kind of taste the freezer it was pulled from. But it's cheap! And the mini plate is definitely enough food for a standard-sized adult female. read more

First, when i went to order as soon as i said "i would like" the cashier stopped and started to talk to someone who was working there as well. Cute little Hawaiian restaurant we found online when we searched for "things to do st george". We tried the garlic chicken, Teri beef and shave ice with a snow cap (only way to eat shave ice plus the ice cream at the bottom) Oh! And of course the spam musubi haha! Reminding me of home! The only thing is, there was one worker who looked like she was Hawaiian and NOT ONCE greeted us when we walked in or even said THANK YOU when we left. Sad. Reason for 3 stars for me. Would've been a 5 star review. She also threw something at 2 of the workers that were IN the seating area watering plants.... that caught me by surprise and isn't something customers should be seeing. Average tasting Hawaiian food nothing special.. lots of rice and lots of Mac salad... if you've never been to Hawaii you know how and why diabetes is a major killer... it's nothing but carbs, I asked for a substitute for veggies instead of Mac salad and rice and I had a few long slices of cabbage.... Who knew that there was a little bit of Aloha in Utah? My friends and I stopped by here for a late lunch during our drive back from Bryce Canyon National Park to Las Vegas. They serve authentic Hawaiin food - a good change from all the Subway we were eating (seems to be a staple throughout Utah)! I guess for a price it's a good McDonalds alternative, but nothing to sing praises about.
