Since the new ownership the restaurant has declined. We been 6 times since the change and we will not be back. The wait staff is not attentive, the sushi is rolled poorly & so overfilled that you can barely eat it. And the reason we won't return is because I had a roach crawl on my neck. Seating is usually wide open, though I do wish they'd remove the old pillows on the left wall--they look a bit unsanitary (I sat there once, never again... table is where you'll find me). Food and service? Top notch. I've never been disappointed! Fave roll alert: the Lemon Roll--add fresh jalapeño (instead of cucumber), you'll thank me later. The protein roll is great too-- loaded with all the goods and wrapped in soy paper-- super filling. I've even mixed the two when over excited ... don't judge. We come here quite often and it's usually a very good, reliable place to eat but it has gone downhill very rapidly. I ordered the teriyaki chicken under the impression I would receive white meat as usual. Instead I received all dark meat and was informed they no longer carried white meat. My food was brought out 30 minutes before my son's sushi and was cold by the time his sushi which was also warm for some reason. The food was inedible and still cost what we used to pay for high quality food they used to serve. If you enjoy Hooked on Sushi and haven't gone in a while DO NOT go it will ruin your opinion on what was once a great restaurant. read more

Just moved to this area a little over a month ago, decided to take my family out to eat this sunday. When i tell you this is one of the best ramen and sushi places ive ever had ??? MAAAAAAN it was spectacular. First, the restaurants vibe was amazing. Anime posters, basketball, and just felt like it was made for me. it had all of my interests i was nerding out. and the food was genuinely all 9/10. honey sushi roll and k ramen were my dishes and they were so yummy. My daughter tried hooked on sushi with friends and because of her excellent experience, the whole family came to try it. Between the four of us we ordered chicken fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and vegetable teriyaki. The entree is a good deal with salad and soup. Each plate came with edamame which was nice. My chicken was cool to the touch but they warmed it quickly. I wonder if a warm plate would solve that as the plate was cold to the touch. The service was good and ambiance was open and inviting. I then ordered a double combo of teriyaki salmon and shrimp tempura. It came with a salad/ginger dressing and miso soup. I also ordered the unagi (2 pc). Everything was good and flavorful. If I had one very small issue, the salmon was a bit too cooked for me. But crispy! Which I like. It wasn't a deal breaker. The ambiance was nice. Playing chill music! Service was on point!
