My wife and I went to the Hooters in Cedar Hill today at approximately 4PM CT. The restaurant was not crowded, there was no host/hostess, most of the servers were chatting it up with customers and there we waited. It took about 5 minutes to get someone to acknowledge we were there and to seat us. She seemed annoyed. We sit down and no one came for another 5 minutes. There was a server behind me, chatting it up with a guy in a booth. She never turned around. When a server finally showed up, she proceeded to tell us that they were in the middle of shift change and that we wouldn't be served until shift change is over. Really? We didn't get to order. We left. Now for the manager who have been responding to the multiple reviews here, the team in Cedar Hill has a HUGE customer service issue. The money that Hooters have invested here in Cedar Hill is on its way down the drain because of the HORRENDOUS customer service. You wanna example of a Hooters that is on its game, go to the location in Grapevine. Service is awesome and the food is always good. Look, I want to be able to get Hooters wings in my town, but the Cedar Hill location needs MAJOR work. I am truly disappointed in what happened. Horrible service! Took over an hour to get 6 wings and shrimp. First off the wings were wrong and not what I ordered. The girl repeatedly blamed the kitchen staff. After waiting for another 30 mins we asked for a manger who came to the table to only blame the kitchen staff herself also. Instead of admitting they messed up my order or asking if there was something different they could do. The best they come up with was telling me I could wait an additional 20 mins for 6 wings. I live south of Dallas and it was a little exciting to learn a Hooters was coming to Cedar Hill. My family and I decided to give it a try. We walked in and we were told the wait would be about an hour. However while waiting I went to the restroom and noticed several tables and booths opened. They have many people waiting while many tables are open. We mentioned it and was told they do not have enough waitresses to tend to the tables. We were finally seated after a 35-40 min wait. The waitress (Mykayla) approached and the first thing she said was the kitchen was very behind and food is taking 1-1 1/2 hours to come out but appetizers were not. We said we would order and have drinks while we wait. We learned the table next to us had been waiting 1 1/2 hours for their food. Another couple came to the same waitress and was told the same thing. It appeared the issue may have been the kitchen indeed but the main problem was the waitress. I saw people who were seated after I was and order, received their food, ate and left. Our section clearly had a waitress that could not handle it. When we finally received the food (buffalo shrimp), it was cold. It was sent back. Our wings came and they were wrong and they were sent back. The wings finally came again but my fries didnt come until after 15 mins of receiving my wings. Never received the buffalo shrimp until we had to ask. We also had to ask several times for our beer. The other waitresses did step up and try to assist with our food and drinks because they clearly knew Mikayla could not handle it. Thank you to those waitress. In all we probably spent almost a total of 4 hours there. We did speak to a manager who did comp us. However I think Hooters needs to put more staff on its floors especially on a Saturday night when the crowds can get really heavy. Hooters is not prepared at all and seems like they still needs lots of training on how to operate. I definately won't be back to this Hooters again. Very bad experience. read more

We were going to head to downtown Dallas to have Hooters, then I learned of this location closer to home! We are avid fans of Hooters and the Cedar Hill location did not disappoint! Restaurant was very clean, multiple televisions and family friendly environment. We were greeted and seated very promptly. Ordered a beer and an appetizer. Both were brought very quickly! Beer was cold, so that's always a plus! Wings and fries were heat hot and on point with sauces! Restrooms were clean and service was great! Glad to know that we don't have to travel to Ft. Worth or Downtown to eat at Hooters! Will definitely be back! read more

My first visit to this place was horrible. I made it there at 11:15am and the doors were locked. The manager finally came to the door at 1140am to let people in. Did I mention it's like 100 degrees outside. The manager said they were not ready to open even though they are supposed to open at 1100am. I personally never received my food and eventually just left. But as usual bad service starts at the top with management! After our experience tonight, these reviews don't surprise me at all. I even gave the manager Kevin an opportunity to make it right. My wife had a glass of water literally break in her hand as she went to take a drink and spilled water all over her and myself. Luckily she wasn't cut or hurt, and I let my frustration be known but I understood this wasn't any persons fault but something that the restaurant should be responsible for. When we got our ticket, no adjustments were made to our tab. I've seen people complain about a hair that may or may not have placed on their own plate by themselves to ultimately get a meal comp'd but we didn't get that, we got nothing. After I addressed this with Kevin, the "manager", he assured me the food should have been taken care of and someone forgot to take it off. So I waited and he came back and dropped off the ticket he discounted $8, not even covering the appetizer. It's pathetic to see people like this to be left in charge of running any establishment and no surprise that this will probably be another 1 star review that goes unnoticed by Hooters or anyone who can make an impact on the way the establishment is operated. read more

Holy crap! Worst hooters experience ever. I have no clue how long this one has been opened. Looks very new so many needs a little more time to work things out but what it boils down to was service and food both sucked!!! Queso was cold, service ridiculous slow, order was wrong for my child, service was slow, drinks went empty, and we ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and it wasn't good. Think my chicken was freezer burnt or something and my husbands chicken just looked like a huge chicken strip, fries were colder than normal and did I mention service was slow?!!! My experience at hooters was amazing! Went after work to watch the game and have a drink. Kimberly did an outstanding job behind the bar. Despite how busy it was she made every drink quick and on point. I would definitely go again. Not only was the service great but Kim made me feel like I mattered. First off its great to have a hooters south of I30 and even better that its in Cedar Hill. Unfortunately they still have a ways to go with service and quality of food compared to the downtown location. Our appetizer came out as expected but by the time my beer arrived we were almost done with the appitizer. The waitress came by at one point and said there was a mix up with the tickets and the beer would be out shortly, 10 minutes later the beer arrived. Through out the entire meal she never asked if we wanted another drink. The food was ok, im comparing it to the downtown location which is usually great. The wings were way too saucy, I ordered 20 wings medium and there was a pile of sauce sitting in the bottom of the plate. Hooters wings normally have some crisp, not so saucy that they are soggy. The waitress was unattentive leaving a huge pile of leftover napkins on the table and never asked how was the food after it arrived. However the restaurant was very nice and well set with alot of tables surrounding a huge bar with several tvs. I will be back becuase i love hooters just hope they get tbe food and the service issues resolved. read more

Worst experience ever at this location in Cedar Hill. I was ok with waiting 1hr for my food. Then I see people at the bar that had just sat after I placed my order get their food first. I asked this is when I was told 1hr wait I said ok I ordered about half and hour ago so another 30 min for my appetizer ok I'll give it some time. When I asked again 30 minutes later they blamed their kitchen. My waiters Makayla was awesome and very apologetic compared to the manager which didn't really seem to care. Ordered fried pickles and waited a good 30mins to get those and when we did get them they were mixed with fried jalapeños . Then waited over an hour in half to get our food . Asked to speak to a manager and he didn't come to our table until 30mins later . I ordered a Michelob beer and was told they were out , so I went with a bud light . My glass was chipped and I cut my lip . I Reported it to the waitress and she was supposed to get me a new glass with beer . It never arrived . Please do not waste your time coming here . To top it off when you order more than twenty wings or fifty you can only pick two sauces, and when they finally show up they are disgusting and taste like supermarket frozen chicken, that they put in a microwave and added sauce to. Just went last night, after an hour of waiting for two water and an iced tea the waitrees disspeared for 30 minutes after taking my order. I ordered a lot of food, not even half or order arrived and cold. The waitress came after a while asking if we get our food. Another table arrive with same waitress and didnt wait not even 10 minutes and they had their food, i asked to spoke to manager who came over and i told her i want my check and told her about my food, she removed and order of cold wings i told her about and she was charging me for food i never got. I told her about it and she told me it will take a while to fix the check, i asked how long, she was rude and after 10 minutes came telling me they will take care of charge of the few food i get. Waited a week after opening because I heard it was crowed. Ordered on there to go app said would be ready in about 30 minutes. Went last night and was very disappointed. Wait time to be seated was more than told, which I did not understand since it was not crowded and there were quite a few tables open. Once seated we could not help to notice how warm it was inside. I decided to order a alcoholic beverage which they asked for my ID, unfortunately I did not have it with me... so ok they did not sell me a drink. Clearly I'm old enough... I was with my husband and two teenage kids but ok they are doing their job, so I thought. I was fine with not being sold the drink until I notice that other younger individuals sitting next to us were not asked for an ID. After ordering our food it took an hour to receive our food. Waitress was on training so I guess she doesn't know to check on customers during wait times or even after food arrives. Several times my husband had to waive to get her attention. Manager was walking around but never checked around the tables to see how the customers were doing or even have a smile on his face. Don't think he has customer service skills or likes his job. Will not be returning. We've gone to other Hooter locations and this by far has been the worse experience. Will not be returning. Prefer to drive a longer distance than to not have adequate service at a closer location. read more

My wife and I have been to this hooters a total of 4 times since they've open, and every single time the waitresses had to come apologize for orders being late. It is the same story every time as well, the kitchen is under staffed or tickets lost. Either they need to hire more kitchen staff or train them better. After the first couple of times of orders being late I let it slide but 4 times is too much. Only reason I'm doing 2 stars is for the great selection of beers. Also we've gone during the weekdays and they are still late orders and having to wait 30-45 minutes just to be seated. A thing I notice is that they keep the patio section closed during the weekdays which makes no sense if they are still busy. We arrived at 7:30 PM and it is now 9:00 still no food and the waitress even tried to bring the bill before the food! Something needs to change either better management or hire more people! This might very well be my last time coming here which sucks because it's within walking distance. read more

Stay away from this Hooters location in Cedar Hill. I wish I would have read the other Yelp reviews before stopping in today. Very SLOW service. There were only 3 of us that stopped in today. Took about 15 min just to get our drink order. 25-30 min after we sat down they took our order. After almost an hour we asked another waitress to please call our waitress to come back to our table. Our waitress apologized and said our food would be out in about 10-15 more minutes. They did start bringing out our food after being there about 1 hour and 15 minutes, but one dish came out then another 15 min later and finally we asked for the manager. We explained that our last dish still had not made it to our table and the other two that were brought out were wrong. I wanted to pay for what they had brought to our table and leave (even though we didn't really eat what they had brought us). The manager didn't let us pay (only fair thing to do) and apologized.
