Worst service ever. One hour and 8 minutes to get chicken strips! It's not even very busy today.

Went there with a larger group, so I figured it would take a little longer to get our food. It took an hour and a 1/2 before we got food. Had to get up and get our own beer from the bar. No apologies, acted like it was the norm. Manager showed up at the end, but it was too late. She blamed the waitresses, and we paid. 20 people in our party and none of us will return. read more

Very nice and new Hooters. Absolutely the worst service I've had anywhere in a long time. Customers at tables around us were also complaining. Took almost 30 minutes to get first beer then over hour and half for food then it was cold when we got it. Had to ask for manager twice then she came out and said they were short handed and she was cooking. Told her she should have called in folks from another shift or cafe to help. We like hooters but will not go back to this one for a long time. Went to cafe next door, The Flying Saucer and was treated great. Worst service I've ever had at a Hooters restaurant, which is disappointing considering the beautiful view and location. The waitress's are rude and inconsiderate, we asked for a table in the patio and the hostess sat us in the middle, when I mentioned it to her again she said she'd come back and never returned. When they finally moved us to the table of our request there was still plates and cups from a previous guest. Our waitress looked bothered anytime we'd ask for something. If I could leave 0 as the review I would. This place is awful and I would advise anyone going to spend their money not to go here. It was terrible from the server, to the manager, to the kitchen. The server took over 15 minutes to greet us, and then we never saw her again. After waiting that amount of time the host had to come take our order. We called the manager over to find our server and he was running around with his head cut off because he couldn't find her. She was in the bathroom for an excessive amount of time with another employee. After waiting over an hour an 15 minutes our food came out cold and completely wrong. Once again, called the manager over and he had no idea how to correct the situation and was looking at us with a blank stare. We finally got up and told them we were leaving because no one knew what needed to happen to get our order corrected. This place needs a new server, manager, and kitchen staff. Seriously, don't waste your time or money. There's plenty of other restaurants in the area with great food and service. This place is trash and I don't think it matters the area. Went to this location last night and I was VERY disappointed. The service was so slow. Our waitress and 3 others just sat behind the host stand and gossiped for a good 20 minutes without checking on their tables. I got there at 8:45 and left at 10:30... all we got were wings and shrimp... no alcoholic drinks or anything. There was no excuse for this as the restaurant was hardly full at this time. read more

Welp, considering that the vast majority of Hooters in any given area barely breaks the 2 star mark, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the service at this particular Hooters. I showed up on a Saturday afternoon at 1400ish, which we all know is going to be a bit busy. Still, about 6 spaces free at the bar. Sat down at the bar and waited for TWENTY THREE MINUTES! Not one single wait staff approached me. I was on my phone for the first 5 minutes, so I assumed they were just letting me finish my texts. By the 15 minute mark, I was staring at whichever bartender was looking my way. After 23 minutes, I got up and walked out. Not one single Hooters employee acknowledged that I even walked in the joint. I walked next door to The Flying Saucer, which was equally busy. The staff at The Flying Saucer had served me a beer and received my order within about 2 minutes after I walked in the door. I know where my business is going the next time I am in Garland. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before coming to this location. I have to say, when we first walked in we were greeted right away and the wait for the table wasn't long at all. The view is amazing. However, we were a party of 8 and our drink order was wrong... 3 out of 8 in fact.. not the waitress fault but it seems like the bartenders need more training.. our appetizer combo tasted like they sat in the oil too long, the fried onion ring had mozzarella cheese in the batter... then we had to wait over an hour for our meals and they were lukewarm to say the least. By far the worst Hooters we have ever been too, and that's sad too because it has such a beautiful view from the patio. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone!! read more

Horrible experience tonight. From incorrect drinks that took 20 minutes to be delivered to the table, to frozen tater tots being served along side cooked ones, to hot wings tasting like they were tossed in last year's wing sauce... it was such a letdown! Worst experience I have ever had at any Hooters! Told a 45 minute wait which was understandably for a Friday night at 730 pm. Checked with the hostess 3 different times to see where we were on the list and each time was 6th on the list and constantly seeing groups that came in after us being seating. Not to mention 5-8 different empty tables that were still dirty with no one sitting at them. We finally got seated after an hour and still some how 6th on the list and the table was covered with trash and never wiped down, but still we were seated. The waitress took 10 minutes to even ask us if we wanted anything to drink. It took over 15 minutes for 2 beers and 3 mixed drinks. There was no problems with the food other then 4 people getting food and waiting another 10 minutes for the 5th party to receive their food. After getting our food the waitress never came back to see if we needed anything, so I had to grab the hostess to tell them the beer mug was broken in 3 places, sharp, and cut my dads lip (Which she shrugged off and walked away like it didn't matter at all). So I asked for the bill eventually when the waitress decided she needed to check on us. Then 15 minutes later with no bill yet, she checked on us again and I asked for the bill again. So another 10 minutes go by and no bill, so I asked the hostess for the bill. Yet again another 10 minutes go by and no bill. So I went to find the manager, I tried to speak with him and tell him what was going on, he really didn't seem to care at all, and was like "oh well sorry." His to go order seemed to be more demanding then helping a customer with an issue. Needless to say we spent around $200 at the restaurant and will never be back. Well I guess it serves us right attempting this place now having seen the reviews. It has such great potential with its great views. I don't know whose really to blame for our bad experience, our waiter Devin, the hostesses or the management. From the time we ordered our sodas and beer, we got our beers in about 15 minutes but got our sodas (which included kids drinks) about 5 minutes later. I knew then this experience would blow. Our food comes after complaining and then someone's missing a meal (buffalo dip w/chips). After our waiter blames my husband for the miscommunication, she goes to check on it. I wait for another 45 minutes for my entire party of 7 to be done before I just ask the manager to box it to go. During our wait, we noticed our waitress running around getting high chairs, etc for her tables while TWO hostesses just sat 10 feet away doing nothing. We also notice the manager met with every other person in our section with their own service issues and although she apologized and comped us $25, she told us she wasn't surprised by our complaints. If, big IF we go back, it'll be with no kids and we'll sit at the bar. Those folks are usually trained to be on top of it. read more

Should not even be a 1 rating. Dined 8/1316 our waitress was new and the kitchen staff was in training ( per direct fro waitress mouth). Sat down took little while for waitress to come to our table. Husband asked for suggestions for dark beer and waitress says word for word "I am only 18 so I know nothing about beers"!! WOW MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE BECAUSE IT SHOWS THE GIRLS ARE NOT TRAINED! Took an hour to get our food and I asked table beside ours how long did it take to get their food and they told us an hour also. I asked the waitress why did it take so long. She responded "the kitchen staff is in training and they just put you on a wait list in the kitchen and cook it when thy fell like it ".WOW MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE.. Then I saw a cute bib I was thinking about buying so I asked the HOSTESS " how much are the bibs? The hostess responds "I don't know I can ring it up and tell you ". OMG management cannot even print out prices of their merchandise for sale and store up front so employees will know the prices so when a customer wants to buy a t shirt etc they can tell customer how much an item cost without ringing it up first. My husband and I were in this location last week and have to say that we had the best experience yet!! So I wanted to give a shout out to our Bar Tender KYLIE for making our visit near perfect. She is definitely the best asset this location has. And she's BEAUTIFUL and respectful to boot! We will be back and will for sure ask for her every time. read more

OK here is an update on my review We wanted give Hooters one more try, This time we walked in we were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. It was a new crew working and the girl that waited on us was very nice and listen to what we had to say. There was another manager on duty his name was Seth and was very good about listing about the first visit. I will make sure the next time I will call make sure Seth is working because he is a really good Manager, Because of him and the girl( Sorry cant remember her name but she works only weekends because of school.) is the reason I will be back. when the wings and drinks came out they were hot and beer was ice cold. I went back to hotel full and happy. I'm giving 2 stars simply for how nice the actual place is and the efforts of the waitress. As others have stated, our waitress was nice and doing everything she could, but NO help from management or kitchen or bar for that matter. Friends arrived a bit before us, and waited at the bar for a table. So we didn't experience the long wait for a table that others did, but we waited a LONG time for everything else. About 45 minutes for our 1st round of drinks. Well over an hour for food. Our friends had nachos while they waited for us to arrive. Once we arrived, they waited 30 minutes for a refill on chips. Our fried pickles were sub-par. I always LOVE Hooter's fried pickles, but these tasted dry like they had sat for a while (note that we received these a while before the rest of the food so it's not like it was the other food that held them up). Finally, our quesadillas arrived. The taste was good despite the fact that THE CHEESE WAS NOT EVEN MELTED ALL THE WAY. You had ONE job! Additionally, manager walked around the entire time, passed our table at least 10 times without once asking how everything was. I'm presuming that's because she already knew the answer! read more

If there was an option to leave zero stars I would. Probably the worst customer service I have ever received. I ordered my food to go which I don't normally do, but I had a lakefront property that I rented and wanted to have dinner enjoying the view with my partner. The website tells us our food would be ready at 6:30 so naturally we arrive to the location at 6:25. The male hostess at the front tells us he will go check on our food and then never leaves the stand, a female hostess arrives about 5 minutes later and doesn't even know we are there waiting for the to go order. She finally goes back to check on it and proceeds to come back and tell us that our food won't be ready for another 30 minutes. I ask if there is anyway she could've warned us about this before we had come all the way to the restaurant, as in maybe a call ahead and with extreme attitude she replies "Well we don't talk to you on the phone do we?" Note: You have to leave your phone number on the site when ordering something to go as well as an email so there were definitely ways the restaurant could've reached out to us to let us know it was gonna be 30 minutes longer than stated. We go outside to wait and come back about 20-25 minutes later to receive our bag of food and leave and as we were leaving not only the female hostess but the male hostess and one of the waitresses were harassing us, yelling "you're welcome" over and over to us until we went out the door. We get back to our place and the food of course was cold, so obviously it had been sitting at the front and they failed to contact us again or even come outside to let us know our food was finally done. Unenjoyable to say the least. Don't let the location of this Hooters fool you, it may be nice, but customer service is definitely not. read more

We went this past Sunday night, 8/13 around 7 pm. Was seated on the patio. Table was dirty/sticky. Waited for waitress for about 5 minutes or so (patio wasn't busy but had a few customers) and husband and I each ordered a beer. One draft and one bottle. When we ordered beers, we asked waitress if she could wipe off table and she said yes. Waited about 10 minutes for our beer and she left without wiping table. We were sitting close to the bar, the bartender came out to talk to another waitress. My husband catches her attention and asked if we could get table wiped off, she pretty much gave attitude, told us sure, and walked back into bar area and promptly ignored our request. After another 15 minutes and finishing our beers, we decided to leave and go to Snuffers because we were hungry and waitress hadnt been back to take our order yet. She finally came over and we just told her we were ready to check out and decided not to eat. She said okay, and we had to waive her back down to get the check. I looked at these reviews before I posted mine, and the manager has replied to several that were talking about extremely slow service, or long waits for food, but hasnt seemed to do anything about it. They either have a poorly trained kitchen staff or they need help. They need to be retrained because it doesnt seem like they either care, or are overwhelmed. This is where management needs to get involved and get more training for the cooks. They also need to retrain some of the waitresses on customer service. read more

Staff and manager at this location is very disrespectful, and very unprofessional. My family and I never complain and we came to eat here after a day on the lake, everyone got there food except my dad, brother in law my boyfriend and our friend with us. Waited an entire hour after everyone ate and still no food. The waitress came back and was extremely rude, then the manager came out.. I have never had a confrontation with a restaurant manager and have never been so dis-pleased with the lack of professionalism as a manager as I was with this location. My dad actually owns a business in the food business which has been successful nationwide and he and the men actually got up from the table and left because of such a distaste for the service. We paid for what we ate (as we should have) and he never once apologized actually made it out to be our fault. He also told us they had just opened. (This establishment has been opened over a year) The waitress brought out our food as we were leaving and we told her to take it back that it's been taken care of and she continued to roll her eyes and say ugh so what am I supposed to do with this? TERRIBLE service, our party was among five others there that had asked for the manager just in our section. Will never go back to this Hooters again. read more

We never got fries and sent a platter back. Management stated the other Hooters have experienced staff they will improve. Guess we have to drive to Mesquite! Have owned and patronized many restaurants in my life, and don't normally do this. I just had one of the most conflicting experiences. I have eaten at many Hooters and generally most of the experiences have been pretty good. My server was great, very professional and very gracious, her management however not so much. The food was below average and I asked twice to have a game put on asking one of the managers directly once, and never got to watch it except right before I left after sitting there for over an hour. Won't say I won't try it again, but let me say not sure I will either, disappointed. read more

We went to Hooters yesterday around 4pm. I had never been there since it opened. We went to the bar area on the outside deck and found a table by the railing. We sat there a little while and a waitress informed us that section was closed but if we moved to another section someone would wait on us. So we moved. Well we sat there about 15 minutes. waitresses were walking by us and talking to other customers. We never were asked if we wanted something to drink. My boyfriend told me to give it some more time. Second time to come to this location and sadly again horrible experience. Waited 45min for a table mind you there were open tables everywhere. Finally get to the table and service was okay. Orders appetizer for two tables and the 2nd table never got the chips/queso and waitress came over and asked are u still wanting to wait on the chips. Really no it's been 30min. Our food took forever to make it to the table. My wings were cold and were terrible with barely any flavor. Our visit total was 3.5 hrs from start to finish which is ridiculous. Then we waited another 45 minutes for our food (which we never got). We asked to speak to the manager THREE times. She NEVER came over to our table. I would not recommend the rock wall to hooters at all...we visited on super bowl Sunday at 2:00pm. First, it took 15 minutes before anyone stopped to ask us what we wanted to drink ( which was the manager) second when our waitress Belinda came over she had an attitude, we order motzerella sticks which took another 20 minutes to get to our table. When we finally ordered our lunch of nachos, original wings, and curly fries that took another 45 minutes to get to our table. When our food was delivered we only received our nachos, and wings and they were delivered by another waitress, Belinda who is a horrible waitress and should be fired did not check on us at all after we got our food. When we tried to ask where our fries were two managers walked by and they ignored us, so my fiancé had to go to the lady that seats people to ask for a manager and when that fat manager came out and we expressed our concerns, all he said was I'll go get your waitress...when Belinda finally came back she had a worse attitude then the first time we saw her and we asked where our fries were she said she didn't know. I proceeded to tell her that we would like our fries and the check and she began to argue with me. Both my fiancé and I told Belinda to just go away because she was arguing with me and wouldn't listen to our needs or concerns. Thank God Mariah another manager walked by she is amazing and finally told Belinda to leave our table and she would take care of us. When we finally got our fries 25 minutes after the rest of our food arrived they were cold and very stale. Mariah was so nice she went and got us fresh/hot fries and made the rest of our visit pleasurable. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this hooters, they are horrible and they need to fire there whole staff and start again. read more

Wow, it's a shame that this place can't figure it out!!!! They have a nice location and good set up on the lake. However that's about it. The service is, simply put, crappy. Went on a Wednesday night not crowded, and ordered....get this wings. During our 40 minute wait we had three confused, semi interested waitstaff approach is to ask if "is this your (insert basic entree name)? No, it's not but wondering if the chicken has been plucked and fried cause we still ain't got no wings!!!! At this point we called for the manager (damn hate when it gets to this point), and I kindly told the old man with a deer in the head light look that at the very least my side salad should have been in my belly by now. He responded in a very defeated way..let me check on your order. I guess he anticipated yet another horrible YELP review and decided to get in a fetal position under the fryers since we never heard back from him either. I ordered a 10 piece wings TO GO a week ago. When I got there to pick it up I was greeted by the hostess or waitress, I don't know which. I was asked to pay at the hostess stand and she said she would go check on my order. She came back a few minutes later and said it would be a few minutes (when I called in my order they said it would be 20-25 minutes- I arrived 30 minutes after I hung up). I waited 10 more minutes before my food came. The worst thing was that the wings were tiny and not meaty like other hooters. And all of them were WINGS! No drumettes.
