Let me preface this by saying this was my first time being at a Hooters as an adult. The lat time I was at a hooters was down in FL when my grandparents took my brother and I. Before even entering the restaurant, I could hear from the outdoor speakers of some type of event happening. It turns out they had WWE Royal Rumble on. I was hoping it was not on inside but I was wrong. They had it on close to full volume. A lot of the people there had their kids there watching the big even on I would say 75% of the TVs. I was met by the hostess, who was also my server, Amanda. She was nice but did not smile much. Whatever happened with service with a smile? But I digress. She took my drink order (Guinness on tap). When it came, it seemed like it was sitting for a little longer and did not much of a head on it. I did order another after I finished the first and that one was better. I did watch the bartender pour the Guinness correctly, according to Guinness standards. Food, I ordered as an app the fried mozzerella. When it came out, it seems like they were sitting for a little bit and did not have the melted cheese string like you expect from fried mozzarella. Main meal was the Hooters original wings with no sauce. I am not much of a sauce guy but the wings were hot and flavorful. Now I know why Hooters is known for their wings. Dessert I ordered the funnel fries. They seemed a little greasy and did not have enough powdered sugar on them. Overall, it was a good meal but could have had some improvement. Especially when they decide to air a big event when maybe not ALL their clientele might not be into that type of entertainment. read more

Service is actually really great. But with their food changes and their buffalo "slop" change (from a great sauce to a thick, gross, slop mess), I'm not sure we'll continue visiting. It's such a shame. Always good buffalo wings and apps, but SO much has been taken off the menu and changed. We ALWAYS get buffalo style wings, tenders, tacos or sandwiches. Now... if we want buffalo, like we do, it'll be somewhere else. read more

I will unabashedly admit that Hooters is one of my guilty pleasures. Not because of the scantily clad waitresses because not to sound mean ... but most of the ones I've run into here would not be my cup of tea. Those who enjoy the fake lashes, tatted up, foundation heavy Cardi B look will be very content. Hey ... I am sure I am not their cup of tea either, and that's okay. Believe it or not, I come to Hooters for the food ... specifically, the wings. They are normally crispy, batter fried like no other restaurant does and the buttery hot sauce is usually perfect. However, the worst Hooters wings I have ever experienced have come from this restaurant multiple times. So much so, that I have never once eaten a great wing here ... most times they are below average and greasy. A few times they were raw! The consistency and care this place doesn't show is why I do everything to avoid it. As an example, there is nothing worse than biting into a raw chicken wing. It has happened twice here in two different trips. I usually order all drumsticks for the extra charge. A lot of them come out looking weird. The big ones are undercooked and the small ones are barely edible. Often, the celery (which costs extra now) seems wilted and past its shelf life. Many times they just give you the branch area at the top vs. the stalk, which is inedible and 90% of restaurants throw out. The waitresses clearly cater to friends and regulars ... so if you don't come in 2 or 3 times per week, its best to sit at the bar because service takes forever. Tables of 2 or 3 get forgotten. Hooters, when it is good, is a thing of beauty. The Southern chains tend to never dissapoint with the wings ... in Massachusetts, not so much. I know Hooters on the whole is mostly frozen bar food ... but in college, it was a mainstay. For this reason Hooters, Red Lobster and Dominos Pizza are guilty pleasures I will get once every few months in the way Anthony Bourdain was known to pig out on Popeye's chicken mac and cheese. It brings back memories and is so bad, its good. I have stopped coming to this location. The atmosphere is nice with lots of tvs and a garage type of feel. Not quite as cheesy and warm with all the pine wood as the original locations ... this one has more of a modern surf shack vibe. If you want to watch the game, eat bad food that is bad for you and drink beers ... here you go! The crowd here is very testosterone fueled ... MMA watching, sports score reciting, football jersey wearing, fresh fade, thick chain and lots of F350 pickup trucks i. The parking lot. read more

This place has gone down hill drastically in every way. Their draft beer lines probably haven't been cleaned out in sometime. Every draft beer is had tasted skunk. 6 people inside and took 25 minutes for 20 wings. So wonder their going bankrupt. read more

Typical Hooters location, wings and cold beer and lots of TV's to watch sports. Ambiance very "nice" with prompt service.

Went again for fantasy football draft. They had different provisions but manager offered us free apps since we were going to be there awhile. Their teriyaki wings are probably the best I've had! read more

Wow, Hooters of Shrewsbury needs some major help from corporate. I took my dad to Hooters for the first time and it will definitely be our last. Everything just seemed so unorganized there, with no real leadership and staff that is not properly trained. We all started off with a margarita that basically consisted of 98% sour mix. After ordering our meal which consisted of twenty wings, a burger, two sides, a side salad, and a slider combo, it took our food forty minutes to get to the table. Normally if a restaurant was busy, I could understand, but the restaurant was less than half full. After waiting what seemed like forever, our food come out luke warm at best. No one likes eating luke warm chicken wings! Worse part of it was that they served me a side salad with spring mix that was clearly old. I just don't understand how anyone that calls them self a chef could send out a salad the way my salad looked. Sooooooo disappointed! On top of it, our waitress disappeared for most of the night and it took forever to get simple requests. I added a star for the gentleman that came out and apologized. I appreciated his efforts. Came in for lunch on a Tuesday, bar was pretty busy. Took a high top near the bar, server greeted us (2) with menus quickly. Emma was very nice, and got our drinks over quickly. Our apps came out fast and again our server was very attentive and was happy to talk about the different sauces. Food and service were fine here is why they get 2 stars. Look at the picture of the wing, they are TINY. 14.99 for 10 wings or 10.99 for 6, $14.99 for 15 wings. After eating 10 tiny wings I was still hungry. I asked if my 10 piece order could be made into the 14.99 order and get 5 more wings. NOPE you have to order 6 more wings for $10.99. I even heard the waitress talking to each other how I asked for this and laughing. Who do they have cooking at this location? There is zero quality control here. My husband requested Hooters wings last night. We chose takeout due to COVID and ordered $60 worth of wings. When we took our first bite we both noticed they were severely undercooked. We tried a second wing, same thing. This time we noticed literal FEATHERS on the wings. So whoever doing the ordering here is clearly ordering cheap wings that were not cleaned properly, and they are not fully cooking them. Reported this to corporate and received a call from the regional manager with a refund. This location needs some serious employee training. I don't recommend coming here unless you like gambling with salmonella and eating feathers ‍ we for sure will not being returning to Hooters again. read more

Ordered a Taco Salad with mahi mahi. They brought a full bowl of just lettuce and fish. Nothing else. I thought it was a joke. I had to go find the manager to fix it. They threw on some old salsa and that's it. The manager said "the guy back there is new" who knows if that's even true or a lie. I went home and vomited for 6 hours straight until 5 in the morning, I couldn't hold down water. I went to the hospital the next morning, im still hooked up to I.V fluids. I have food born illness from the fish and a kidney infection from the bacteria as a result of that was already awful. Thanks guys! read more

I will make this quick as this place has nothing to spark creativity or peak an appetite. First the place is too noisy, if I wanted to eat in a noise filled environment I would pack a lunch and eat in a machine shop. Food is no better than freezer burned off brand samples. We were greeted by the hostess as we walked in. She kinda startled me because I feel like she yelled it haha! We ended up sitting at the bar. Bartender came over promptly and let us know the specials. She was informative and knew her stuff on the beers which was nice. We ordered the Daytona wings which were nice crispy some heat. We also ordered the sliders Buff chick and Burger came with curly fries (nicely season with season salt yuuuum). There was a nice toast on the buns. Overall a nice experience. read more

The atmosphere is nice, however that is the only thing you are going for because the food is awful. I got buffalo chicken dip and well look at the photo I posted...is that a joke I paid $9 for that.....not only was it the worst dip I've ever had but the chips were only cooked half way and then after I got wings and they were not bad but they forgot I ordered half of a different flavor so they had to bring it out later they also forgot to bring my ranch out. I ordered smoked wings like I always get and noticed as soon it came out the sauce flavor was wrong and the wings weren't smoked. The smoked wings are my favorite but they are always small so thats how I knew they weren't smoked wings and flavor wise I get dry rub and the wings were smothered in sauce. I brought it to the waitress that the majority of the wings weren't smoked and she talked to the kitchen and said they were. This in no way was the waitresses fault so the two stars I'm giving is for her the kitchen staff definitely screwed up. Hopefully next time will be better an I will update this review. Bust as of the last experience it was a bad one! read more

First let me say that the servers and bartenders do a great job, friendly, prompt, everything. Three issues, the food has gone downhill, everything is overcooked to the point of being dry and unpalatable. Wings and burgers are typically very dry. The second, the shameless flirting to the point of getting poor service by some of their servers with their big tipping regulars. I heard one server state, as she was sitting at the customer's table , "I am so bored"... meanwhile I'm waiting about 20 minutes for a refill. Last, the smoking section is immediately outside the main entrance. Either you have to walk through a cloud of smoke or it wafts inside from the smokers right outside the door. read more

Hahahaha so I predicted that this place would suck ass and guess what? It does! Wings are wings, when fry them after coating them with bread crumbs you simply take an unhealthy food and make them worse for you. I had a salad on my visit, my son had boneless wings. The salad consisted of still wet ice berg with chicken breast cooked so well done that it could've passed for chicken jerky. The dressing was bland store bought dressing. My son's chicken wings were hard, as in they were also inedible. The sauce was hot but two monkeys trained to open a commercial buffalo sauce could've prepared the dish. So the hook for this place is young women on hot pants and tight tank tops. Yeah, not impressed at all. Looking around I could see that the business plan appears to target little league coaches and players and guys in their 40's and 50's who I'm sure go there for the food. I never went to such a establishment until I had to meet a friend for lunch. They actually have the best wings! Better than some of the establishments that focuses on wings, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc. I recommend the Hot Buffalo wings because the mild is just a butter sauce. The smoked wings is pretty delicious. I'll break the review down by sections. FOOD: Hit or miss. Didn't try the wings. My party of 3 split a pretzel & cheese dip app. My friend has the 4 slider app as his meal. My husband and I both had the Western burger. Pretzel app was delicious. Soft, warm pretzels & gooey cheese dip with a bit of spice! Definitely recommend. Friend said sliders were okay. Burgers were awful. Supposed to come with bacon; there was none on either burger. Too much bbg sauce. It made the bun soggy & the burger messy to eat. The burger itself wasn't cooked enough either. Husband didn't like his either. Curly fries came with the burgers & the slider app. Those were also really good! Crispy but not burnt. Perfectly salted & tasted fresh, not frozen. SERVICE: Started off shaky but got better. You seat yourself, and my party chose a table near the bar. We waited for about 15 minutes after arrival for a server to stop by & greet us, take our drink order. Put our whole order in at once when our waitress did finally show up. After that, she was pretty good. Stayed on top of our drink refills. ATMOSPHERE: Fun! Lots of TVs. Servers make it a fun place to hang out. Good energy. Overall, I think Hooters is okay. There were definitely a few missteps. I'd like to come back to try the wings. I feel like this will be a good spot to come for beer, apps & wings. Wings was garbage .. beyond belief. Smallest wings I ever seen, literally the size of a 50 cent piece... Although they was tasty they was so small 50¢ a wing would of been generous... Food is great and staff is better, I didn't catch the Mgrs name tonight but he was awesome. My problem wasn't related to the establishment itself but more personal. Hooters made their boneless wings bigger and thicker, which is great for most! Unfortunately because of OCD this kinda sucked for me, because I need things the way they "normally" are when I first enjoy them. The mgr took me serious even though I didn't even want to tell him that I have major OCD with food and was embarrassed. He promptly got me bone in wings of my choice along with smaller cut boneless wings. He also told me that I could ask for smaller sized boneless next time !
