I have used this pharmacy only once so I will update this review if my experience changes. My son's dermatologist recommended Hope because of their knowledge of insurance coverage and their ability to work with insurance companies. He had his doctor's appointment at 11:00 in the morning and before the end of the day I had a text and a phone message about the prescriptions. I called the next day and the customer service person at Hope calculated the prices on the two meds the doctor had prescribed. One of them was a cream that cost $300! I said I couldn't afford it, so Hope called the doctor for us and got authorization to use a different cream. Both prescriptions were ready at the end of the day. I picked them up in person at the pharmacy office in Glendale, which was convenient. Otherwise they will ship them to you. Great experience, friendly staff, I would definitely use again. read more

It was my first time using Hope specialty pharmacy. I took my son to his dermatologist for an acne condition that he has been dealing with for the past year. The doctor recommended a prescription that would normally cost a lot of money even with my insurance. He even checked the cash price to see if it was cheaper. The cash price was still too high and that is when my doctor recommended that I talk to his office staff to see about getting the prescription through Hope Specialty pharmacy in Glendale. I spoke to Peter and he was amazing! He was very thorough very professional and very helpful. He had the prescription mailed to my house overnight and I received it the very next day just as he had promised me. I could not believe how fast they were. They took the extra steps to make sure that the prescription was protected and had valid information in there for me to read. I was so glad that my doctor introduced me to this pharmacy. The Pharmacists are always kind and helpful, taking time to answer my questions. Recently there was an issue with my insurance (resulting in cost difference); the Pharmacist brought it up so that there were no surprises. He recommended that I call my insurance company to inquire, but not before working through what questions he could answer for me. I called back and was able to get him back on the phone, which meant that I didn't have to explain everything all over again. He was present in the situation and showed concern, rather than giving me the, "Good luck with that" attitude that I've received elsewhere. I understand that sometimes a Pharmacy can't help the way things work out, but it makes a difference when they try. Also I've never had to wait for a medication to be "ordered" (it seems to happen more often with CVS, Walgreens), and I love their delivery service. It all adds up to less stress for me! read more

Hope saved me over $200 on a prescription that my dermatologist prescribed for me. I went to Rite Aid thinking it would be something cheap considering it is just a simple cream, but they hit me with an insane bill claiming it wasn't covered by insurance. I called my doctor and asked if there was a generic or something else I could use, because there was no way I was paying that much for any medicine. He referred me to Hope pharmacy. I had my doubts at first after checking out their website and finding out they are mail-order only, but after calling them and speaking with a very helpful person over the phone I was much more at ease. They had a coupon that lowered the price of the prescription considerably, and also shipped it to me for free! I have had 3 refills now, and the service just continues to get better. I was on vacation for 2 weeks and due for a refill. I called Hope and asked if there was any way my prescription could be sent to a temporary address just this once, and there was no hesitation on their part.
