Come here every year for crawfish season! We like to mix the Cajun with the garlic butter flavor. This time when we went we tried the wings in buffalo/lemon pepper highly recommend. The crawfish were a nice side, and I always recommend dipping the tails directly in the crawfish boil juice at the bottom of the pan OMG really allows the flavor to come out. Service is always good. You just walk up to the tent, place your order, and once your buzzer goes off, you go grab your crawfish.

Only outdoor seating. Seating is kind of shitty - tables are old and the only covered seating was swings.. there was lots of flies too. The food was yummy overall. The sauce didn't really penetrate the crab legs so they didnt have much flavor but the crawfish shrimp and vegetables/potatoes tasted good. The lady at the front desk taking my order added a tip to the total without asking me, which I only noticed when I checked my credit card statement and it was 15% more than the total she told me. I ended up getting bothered by the seating/flies and packed up to finish at home. I liked it but would recommend take out only. Also, they only give you those really big meal prep gloves to eat with so maybe bring your own disposable gloves.

Snow crab legs, crawfish, mussels, corn, sausage - with hot butter

Love this spot! We were looking for a great crawfish boil and found this popup! Things are made fresh and there are so many ways you can enjoy your boil! We opted to build ours since the there was just two of us! We got two clusters of snow crab legs, two pounds of live crawfish, some mussels, corn and sausage. We got spicy butter to flavor it all! It didn't take too long, and I think we were the first ones to arrive. We did grab some margaritas from Tikilas, which they share some space with. It was perfect! We had a few sips and then watched as they boiled the goods. Such a fun atmosphere! The boil was delicious and spicy! The crawfish were decently sized which I think was normal for the time in season. Definitely a great, casual spot for some tasty food! We also loved that they shared the space with Tikilas. The atmosphere was fun but still casual, and being able to eat anywhere between the two spots was pretty cool! Keep and eye on their Instagram for hours each week and fun specials they're running (they were doing steak night when we were there)! A must try!

Unexpectedly found THE spot for steak and crawfish. Who would have known such amazing food could come from a pop up shop inside a bar?? Crawfish was huge, mussels were huge, corn, sausage, and potatoes were all cooked PERFECTLY. The seasoning was not too salty like other places I've tried in Houston. Also, I couldn't stop thinking about the steak after eating it once and had to come back a few weeks later. The steak had a rough outer crust but the inside was buttery soft at medium rare. I think they season the outer crust with curry powder or something which gives it a yellow hue and I'm obsessed with it. Tastes nothing like any other steak I've tried. Can't recommend this place enough!

Crab cluster ($15) shrimp ($15) corn and potato extra

I was looking for a good seafood boil place in houston and this was one of the more reasonably priced spots so I gave it a try. It's not a full on restaurant in that you can't sit and eat inside but there are two outdoor sections attached to the bar next door (tikilas) where you can enjoy your food. Wish I had taken a pic of the menu but most of the options were $15 or less I believe. We got a pound of shrimp (automatically head off) and a cluster of snow crab legs ($15 each). You have to order corn ($1.50 each) and potatoes ($0.50 each) separately so our order came out to about $40. We got it hot and buttered with the spicy spice level. It took just a few minutes to be ready and boy was it GOOD. The shrimp were very big and they were deveined. The crab had 5 legs and the claw was pre cut for ease of eating. This was just enough food for two ppl to walk away satisfied. The spice level was good to be able to enjoy the whole thing without your moth on fire. There is a water station from the bar next door available in the back patio as well as a jenga set. Would recommend! PS: they have a small lot to park in and I believe they do to go orders. They also give gloves, napkins, and a container for shells

The second was two weeks ago at Almost Famous. I ordered a filet both times as that's my preferred cut of steak. I had it prepared medium and it was cooked perfectly. I really like that it comes with a salad and two sides (starch and a vegetable). The first time, the vegetable was asparagus. This last time, they had green beans. The torched rosemary garlic butter on top of the steak elevated the flavor so much! The steak was very tender and juicy too. The amount of food is generous, especially for the price. In addition to steak, they also have a vegetarian option (portabello mushroom) as well as salmon. My friend's salmon looked so good, but I didn't try any. Chef Leo and his staff are friendly and very personable. I appreciated that they brought out each course to the table. They just ask that you let them know where you'll be sitting. We went around 6 p.m. on a weekday, and they had a steady flow of business. It's a small restaurant with a small parking lot, but they do have an additional lot across the street. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. Our waiter was also tending the bar. He was incredibly friendly and working hard, but because he seemed to be juggling so much on his own, service was on the slower side. For the appetizer, we ordered the Crispy Fried Oysters & Brussels, and I got the redfish for my entrée. The Brussels sprouts were flash-fried perfectly, and I loved the sweetness of the chili honey glaze. The oysters had a nice crispy coating, but I found them to be a little bland. The redfish, though, was absolutely the star of the meal. I cleaned my plate. It was served with Hoppin' John and a lemon butter sauce. I had never heard of Hoppin' John before, but it's essentially a Southern rice-and-bean dish, and paired with that lemon butter, it was so flavorful. It complemented the fish perfectly.

I recommend getting here very early, and preorder online if you can. I got here probably 15 minutes before they opened and there was already a line forming. Plenty of covered seating and the lawn area is pretty scenic. Here's what I ordered: Brisket BBH: the BBH is pretty good. Clean and light broth, but I think it would've benefitted from a little more sate as it was on the blander side. I think the brisket didn't really complement the dish. It was just thrown in there. It honestly would've been better without it, as the brisket makes the price tag quite steep... Pork ribs, brisket, spare ribs: gonna group these all together because they were all a bit of a letdown... Brisket wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be for a Viet BBQ place. Both the pork ribs and spare ribs were dry. I like mine to be falling easily off the bone. Smoked turkey: most and flavorful but a little too salty. Bo La lot sausage: it was pretty flavorful, but I think if they really wanted to elevate this dish, they should wrap the sausage in lolot leaves... so it's true to its name. Curry dish: this tastes like your typical Thai red curry paste from the can. Rice was also a bit dry. Banh Xeo: probably my favorite dish. Very unique flavor... fatty, rich, savory! I would get this again. Too bad it's so small! Vietnamese slaw: quite literally (barely) pickled cabbage... not sure what makes it Vietnamese... Bok choy: typical stir fry wok style flavor. It's good, but small portion. Overall, I was a tad bit disappointed. The marketing team does a really good job of making their dishes look so delicious. But the reality was underwhelming... and pricy...
