This has always been a favorite. I grew up coming to hot dog on a stick with my mom and she would say this is our little secret because she would still cook dinner for the rest of the family. Today I introduced my favorite secret to my daughter who absolutely loved it. Surprisingly she loved the pepper jack more than her turkey corn dog. Fries are exactly how I remember but guess what they have added funnel cake sticks. The service was great, not sure why they have so many complaints. As we waited for our food 1/18/23 the employee only left to get additional food from the back and they typically work alone so that's already hard enough. I've been eating hotdog on a stick since 1987. This is the worst hotdog on a stick I've ever had. We ordered two hotdogs with turkey, two American cheese sticks, and a french fry. We were the only people in line when we ordered, we didn't have any special requests and we kept waiting and waiting and waiting and more and more people started showing up. Then two people that came after us ordered from the register received their food before us. I walked up and asked if my food was ready and I could see she had all these hotdogs lined up. So, she was making all of the orders and then going to package all of them up and send them out- however we've been waiting and waiting we looked at our time on the receipt and the time we received our food it was 17 minutes. After waiting 17 minutes for our food, we go outside to sit down and the fries are ice cold. We took the fries back waited another two minutes and they made new ones - came back out. The hotdog was lukewarm the cheese dog was ice cold and the french fries were only hot because we went and got more. The staff did not care at all, no pride in having a job or most people don't have a job and they do have a job. It was obvious they didn't want their jobs either at all. Will never ever go to this location or recommend it to anybody. I can't believe they're still open. It was dirty, the lights not on, the sign not lit up and Horrible service, Horrible food. read more

I've gotten better corn dogs than I did this day from the gas station. The batter was so thin I'm surprised it didn't look like Swiss cheese on my wiener. Just look at the attached pic. I've always loved Hot Dog on a Stick as we all have, it's a staple in most of our childhoods and we pass it along to our kids. If I tried to do such, my children would look at me with such disgust and proceed to spit their bite of food out wherever they could, as fast as they could... In all seriousness, the worst hot Dog on a Stick I've ever had. Someone needs to start doing their job because others don't know how to properly. Why am I making a big rant over some corn dogs and kids working a meaningless job? Because of the following: I earned the money I spent on that crap and that's not what I paid for. If you can't be held accountable at such a simple and easy job then good luck trying to get to the next level. Sure it's filled with some hard labor at times but you better figure it out now. I don't blame the kids, I blame their manager for either hiring them, not training them properly, not observing and correcting, not firing said individuals. This place is located inside the South Bay Pavilion in Carson in the food court. I haven't had this in years I grew up with this when going to Del Amo Mall, Redondo Beach Pier and other malls back then I was more excited for the outside and never finished the whole hot dog which always got my parents mad lol. Now I appreciate the overall taste of a hot dog on a stick. I also loved their lemonade then they decided to add cherry flavoring and I was hooked on that still today they have that along with Lime now which I haven't tried maybe I'll have to one day. My Daughter works near by at another food place so I come Here and hang out and eat until she's off work. Tonight I get here and they have closed early again! I ask the young man that came from the back were they closed?He said yes and I asked why? His reply was his manager said he needed to close early. Walked up to sample the green lemonade today. Not aware if the lemonade was naturally that sweet or the mix ratio was off, I asked the employee for advice. She informed me that it may be a tad sweeter sometimes. What happened next shocked me. The other coworker standing directly behind the lemonade machine was mocking me really subtly. Her education level must be ridiculously minuscule because she didn't understand I could see her body language from the reflection of the mirrors.
