Very disappointed in the service we received from here. I came with my husband and 2 kids over the weekend and we were seated outside (which was ok because we saw they had patio heaters) Unfortunately after being seated we were told that the patio heaters were not available for us to use, so it was FREEZING. We ordered our food and were asked if we wanted the kids meals to come out first because the kids were getting antsy, so of course we said yes. 30 minutes later, the adults food came out FIRST. Our kids were super hungry at this point, and we waited another 10 minutes before our 8 year olds meal came. Still waiting on our 2 year olds meal 15 minutes later, I got up and said something. It was 30 minutes after the adults got their meal that my 2 year old got her meal. Everyone was finished eating at this point. It took 40 minutes for my oldest to get French toast and AN HOUR FOR MY OTHER DAUGHTER TO GET A MICKEY MOUSE PANCAKE. Completely unacceptable service. Yet they kept seating more and more people. If you can't accommodate the people sitting that have already ordered, don't keep seating more people. read more

I ordered on doordash, and all the food looked amazing. However, everything was extremely under-seasoned. The hash browns just tasted like oil. My husband had the cowboy burrito which also suffered from a lack of seasoning. Even the salsa that accompanied his burrito was watery and bland. Another wonderful experience at another location of the Mimosa House. We had excellent food, service, and the ambiance was wonderful as always. My friend got themselves the Moms morning tacos and loved them! I got themselves chilaquiles and devoured them. We also got mimosas (duh!!). I got a first kiss and they got a watermelon lime one. My friends and I came to celebrate a birthday and our server was exceptional! She is probably my favorite server this entire year. My new favorite GO TO place for breakfast! Food was excellent - avocado toast was very tasty. Also enjoyed the vide and decor. However, I will say the service was lacking - the server wasn't very attentive and other servers seemed to have more interest in themselves than the guests as they we're socializing quite a bit behind our booth. Tried this spot with a friend on a Saturday morning. I was blown away by the size of the menu and had to pore it over to make a decision. Our server was friendly and helped me make a choice. I got the Mom's morning tacos and a mimosa. The mimosa was very good - not too strongly flavored like syrup with just the right amount of bubbles. My morning tacos were fantastic too! Came here in town for business. Super early flight and was famished. Needed a good power meal and stumbled upon this place. Glad they were open and had plenty of seating inside. I got the New York Steak and Eggs. Perfect breakfast on a cold rainy morning. Steak was tender and cooked perfectly. Medium rare. Most places don't get it right. They did. Last time they were thinner and more "fry-like" and with the powdered sugar they were almost identical to beignet fries we've had in New Orleans. New version wasn't as good. My husband and 9yo daughter went to breakfast this morning, returning for the second time bc my husband loved their OCEAN Omelette he had their last Sunday. He noticed that the omelette only had salmon in it. He brought this to the servers attention and she agreed it was missing the other seafood. She said she would tell her manager. She came back to the table stating the manager wouldn't come to the table and said not to adjust the bill. The salmon omelette is $20.00 and the Ocean seafood is $26.00. UNBELIEVABLE ‍‍ The server said the manager was leaving in a couple weeks so basically doesn't care‍ Not wanting to cause a scene he just paid his $52.00 bill. Great brunch place with sooo many options. The staff was great with a sense of humor; we dressed up as senior citizens for my sister's 27th birthday and they loved it. They blessed my sister with a complimentary mimosa for her birthday. We had a larger party of 7 people and were sat right away. We went for brunch on Mother's Day, and yes, I know it is a very busy day. But this was unbelievable, how ill prepared they were for this holiday. We waited for our food to arrive for 1 hour and 20 minutes after being seated.- We noticed that people that came in after us, were being served. When I mentioned that to Spencer, our waiter, he gave me a little attitude, and then immediately our food showed up. Unfortunately, it had clearly been sitting there for awhile, because it was luke warm, and the cheese on my omelet had hardened. The toast was not toasted. Asked for jam and never got it. In the meantime, our waiter was standing at the register exhibiting drama to another server, complaining and wiping his brow (could have been getting my jam. We got charged for a fruit bowl that never came. My cousin's CaliBenedict was cold I requested butter for my toast that wasn't toasted, and was told that the bread already had butter on it, so I had to request it again, and was brought literally a teaspoon of butter. I suggest management look at some of their employees. Some of these young servers had incredible hustle, but unfortunately a couple of the young men were under qualified to handle food service. What was once a very clean and upbeat brunch spot has really gone downhill. We were sat at a wobbly table, menus tossed down without a word. The walls had peeling paint, and there were splatters of who-knows-what on both the walls and artwork. We stopped going to the Mimosa House because it always appears to be a little on the dirty side. The staff remains friendly, but they've become inefficient where you can wait for a while to get service. The tables aren't clean, the walls have food stuck to them, and when you sit by the windows, the windows have food on them and flies. With the conditions on the floor, it's hard to trust what's going on back in the kitchen. We decided not to take a chance on it anymore. The cons- The food. I ordered the crab benedict. The crab cakes were 25% IMITATION crab meat and 75% breadcrumbs. Crunchy on the outside but a very poor excuse for a crab cake. My husband's chicken fried steak burrito was nothing special - basically a normal breakfast burrito with gravy on the outside. Didn't come with anything on the side. The food looked great, but the taste was meh. We had the hula pancakes and Cali Benny. The Cali Benny was cold, but the pancakes were on point. The other members of the party had skillets that were ok, nothing special. I think this place is made more for the mimosa and drink aspect than the food aspect. She was very excited about the Hawaiian breakfast selections so we got the Wailea with rice, eggs, and Portuguese sausage. We decided to split it and one side pancake. Overall it was good- but the rice was basmati and it was more of a fried rice plate. We wouldn't get it again, although it wasn't bad, it wasn't Hawaiian. The pancake was great, but pretty steep at $11 for one. My mom wished they had a seniors section of the menu and just wanted to order one egg- it was $5. Overall we really liked it and will be back. By then the rest of my food was cold and to make things worse, the cook sent out soggy, saturated in oil hashbrowns that weren't cooked all the way. Rush job! The hashbrowns here are phenomenally and the food is always great but not today. Service was good and the waitress did all she could do but I definitely wouldn't bring out unfinished hashbrowns that look something completely different than what you normally serve. Food for thought, either make it right or don't make it at all. Quick way to lose customers serving food like that. My english muffin was hard and impossible to cut. Hollandaise sauce had no flavor and was drowning the meal.
