This would have been a good dupe for Golden Delight. The hot stone pho was good. The soup was actually boiling, even at the end of the meal, the soup was still very hot. Meat quality isn't the best. Ordered the Hot Stone Special and a side of Crispy Calamari. The Crispy Calamari was not particularly special, a bit less than expected for the price, there might be better appetizer options on the menu. The Hot Stone Special as the name suggests was served in a hot stone bowl and a plate of assorted meats on the side including ribeye, brisket, beef ball, tendon, and tripe. Each of these cuts were pretty good and the presentation was pleasant. The ribeye and brisket were both very tender to eat once boiled in the broth and the beef balls had a nice chewy texture. The tendon piece had nice jelly consistency and the tripe was a good portion shredded thinly to be able to eat. The interior is pretty minimal with some posters of Vietnamese dishes sparsely adorning the walls keeping a very straightforward appearance. Service could be improved. We were a group of 3 but chose to order ahead without one person. We took a little longer browsing the menu and asked them to come back. After the shift lead/manager got our order down, it took about 30 minutes for the pho to arrive while the table next to us had two people who arrived later and ordered later but got their same pho first. I did not get any of the pho dishes, but opted for the bo ne (sizzling beef plate), which is typically very difficult to find in the 626 area. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the filet mignon was a perfect medium rare as I requested, the sauce was nice and flavorful, and the egg was perfectly fried. I even enjoyed the crispy baguette and the side salad. I did also get the green Thai tea, which while refreshing, wasn't anything to write home about. Hot Stone Pho is located in the plaza that Da Vien is coming into and so far parking is super easy. We both ended up getting the Sizzling Steak and Egg. I have been eyeing this new spot and have waited for them to open to see what they have to offer. Service: When arriving, there was no one at the front. We were noticed by staff coming out from the back but there was not a "Welcome" or any greeting, just simply asked us how many, which is fine but I believe being greeted is the bare minimum. I also tried the broth before putting my sauces in it and it was very bland. I ended up putting fish sauce in it ( which i rarely have to do at other places ). The meat quality was good. They did not mention that the thick pho noodles were .50 extra. I don't mind paying but that should be told to customers. The wings weren't bad either, however i did not personally taste the garlic. Walked in on Saturday for lunch, hand was immediately sticky from opening the door. Stood around awkwardly for a few minutes, lots of empty tables but nobody in the restaurant to seat us until we flagged someone down in the kitchen. All you need to do DIY to heat up the ingredients in the stone bowl dig in and enjoy your food. The service they offer is excellent. Their premises are clean, but it's a little quiet and there aren't many customers. It's possible that they opened recently. It has not been discovered by anyone yet. The special fried rice is distinguished by its thin cabbage slices, which give it a crunchy and fresh taste. We opted to take the left over home. Have some for dinner; they never get sloppy. The wings is crispy. The condiment tastes more like mayonnaise instead of ranch. The garlic is raw and would taste better if fried a little so it wouldn't be too pungent. The hot stone is sizzling hot. I like that the slice beefs and noodle serves in the side. This provides option to dip the slice beefs as you eat so it won't be over cooked. I found out about this restaurant on instagram and decided to visit as it advertised that they have unlimited noodles and pho. When I arrived and looked over the menu, it didn't mention the offer so I asked the server about it. He said the promotion was over. I looked at the instagram video and it was only posted 5 days ago so it didn't make sense that the promotion had ended. I did order pho. It was not bad but the service was lacking. The server took quite a while to take my order and it was hard to get their attention when I had a question. They did not check on my table at all. I really enjoyed just the soup and the meats I got the 4 option one and I loved the tendons so soft it had rib and brisket and beef ball which that was too chewy but still good.
