I have big issues this this establishment. I have been to this restaurant plenty of times. I have first went during April of 2023. The first time was horrible. The chicken wings are small but they do give you a big portion. The taste seems to feel like it was frozen for a while. My friend ordered the chicken tenders and fries. When we received the meal, our faces came with big shock. We thought that we had gotten fish and chips. But no, it was BURNT chicken sticks with a small portion of fries. When we cut into it, we were met with a face of disgust. My friend couldn't even take two bites of it and left hungry. After this, a couple months later me and family have decided to take another shot at going here. I last went during December. There were so many people and floor was dirty. The area was very dirty and it seems like people can't clean up after their own self. The waiter was very rushing and we didn't have time to look at the menu. I ordered the buffalo wings again. My friend had ordered a sandwich. When we got our food, once again our faces were met with shock. My wings felt undercooked so I felt uncomfortable eating the rest of it. I don't ever write reviews but I just had to this time! Yesterday I came in with about 6 others we got seated pretty quickly. Then following our server came and introduced herself her name was Tina. We let her know it was our first time there and she explained the menu to us and also gave us some recommendations. She had the best energy. She also offered us some drinks and we got a pitcher of beer! For appetizers we just got some curly fries and they are so ADDICTING love them! Then we ordered some wings both boneless and bone in and they were both fantastic! Tina bought out the food and made sure we were all set with everything we needed . She kept checking in on us and getting us refills ( when we seen they were very busy) she was still so attentive and sweet. When it was time for the bill we noticed gratuity was included already but we had to tip Tina over gratuity she was absolutely amazing. This location is very unprofessional and disrespectful towards their customers, they made me very uncomfortable while eating my food with my family they stared at us the whole time. When address the issue our server a blonde woman with good teeth stated since we were the only family in there they had nothing else to do other then make sure we were following the restaurant rules. When I asked to speak to a manager a what seemed like 20 year old little boy came out and didn't give us any reassurance. I told the waitress and she took it and another person came wasn't sure if it was the manager but it was a guy and he apologized and told us that it was celery but celery is green this was clearly not celery! Never was a big fan of yelp reviews but this place is just incredible. Overall everything is perfect but over some small problems the manager guy ( I love when he does braids) is always there to satisfy us. The wings are always on top but the lemon pepper is my favorite. My orders usually consist of regular wings with some cheese fries or some regular curly ones but today decided to make a takeout order of 150 wings to watch the superbowl game with the family and once more everything was perfect. Sadly, for today they were doing wings only but we all know how it is on superbowl Sundays. The manager gave me a great service with that beautiful smile on his face and the other man with glasses helped me with the handling. Hello! I came to this restraint multiple times. The first time I went was on Oct. 6 with family, we ordered everything and it went well. The second time I went was Jan. 1st and it was by far the worst experience ive had. I always order their "Traditional Steak" (philly cheese sandwich) and when I received it the sandwich had a smaller portion of meat than the previous times. I kept photos of our meals and there was a major size difference in meat. Also, because I came in with family on the 1st, they gave us a harder time when it came to customer service and just overall ORDERING. I hate to bring racism into everything, but she had us messed up. She kept coming to our COLORED table making sure that we didn't get up or leave which was strange. The table had bones underneath, it was very dirty. The tables weren't even bussed and there was chicken wing crisp remained on the seats. Very unsanitary, it was the dirtiest it's been. A customer walks in rite after me and she looks at the customer . The customer points at me because I was there first. She tells the customer, "he is waiting for a order". Wow! Then she asked what the name of the order was for. Well she could have asked that when I walked in, instead of giving me a rude facial expression, without a greeting and telling me one minute. She then hands me the order after I told her the name and then doesn't even say thank you. I could easily give this joint a 5-star review if only it wasn't for the difficulty of finding parking to eat here. I drove around the block for about 10 minutes looking for street parking, and I ended up paying $10 to park at a nearby lot :/ But you can't blame the restaurant for the lousy parking situation.. The location is very touristy (downtown Pasadena), so parking is a nightmare almost everywhere within the few mile radius. The wings from Hot Wings Cafe are amazing. Although they do not serve the variety of wings that other wing places might have, they definitely compete in the taste of the flavors they do carry. Me and my buddy ordered 32 wings (16 Lemon Pepper & 16 Hot Wings) and side of curly fries and it was the perfect amount. I personally rate wing places from their Lemon Pepper wings, and this place is definitely the real deal when it comes to wings. Pretty similar to the Glendale location in terms of service and food, but the inside is more modern-looking and it's way less busy. Then again we came on a weeknight...I assume it gets pretty crowded during the weekends. Love the wings here. Favorite place for hot wings by far (along with the Glendale location). Yes the wings are smaller than average (especially compared to the steroid ones at Buffalo Wild Wings...) but I prefer it that way- more sauce and flavor on each wing. LOVE the hot and extra hot flavors. Their curly fries rank in my top favorite fries from any restaurant ever. And if you have some extra room to spare for calories... get the cheese fries, it's amazing. Not to mention- their ranch is so thick and creamy! I'm not sure what brand they use but it tastes so good. And when you eat everything (the wings, carrots, lettuce, and fries) with ranch...it's kind of important! Their family packages are a good deal. We were a group of five and the 50-wings pack was a good value. Servers were friendly and quick to bring extras when we asked. No rush at all to leave. I don't know where to start. This place was a joke. The waitress took forever to greet us. There was a total of 4 or 5 small tables , including mine. The food took about 20-30 minutes to come out , and when it did , the waitress forgot the onion rings. Once the onion rings came out , I will admit they were the best item , probably cause the were freshest prepared. The curly fries were straight out of a frozen bag , and so were the boneless wings. I've had way better boneless wings from the frozen Tyson bags from Ralph's. They sucked , they were not even crispy. Don't waste your time or money here. First time they taste normal, second time ordered thru the phone , they asked to walk in to order because too busy , ended up taking my order for 16 wings, put in the basket less than 16 wings and all dried as f***** on top of that played with my receipt to grant themselves 100% tip... like serving dried fried wings wasn't enough they tried to rob me!
