I believe they are a step above the rest as do a great job with service; our attendants are always on the ball and rarely make mistakes. The food is fresh and quality is better than the rest with a menu that changes to help introduce new options while not losing the staples that everyone like me loves. The service was horrible and food was blah. Forgot our appetizer order. Forgot my drink order. Couldn't order a second drink as their was no waitress to be found. Food took forever. The table behind us just got up and left because the service was so bad. It was not busy at all. The food that did come out was just okay. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Driving through the area with my girlfriend and decided to stop here for a quick bite. The firecracker cauliflower was amazing! A must try! So I never even heard of Houlihan's before, but I must say I was extremely pleased with this restaurant. The menu has so many options, by the time you finish reading through the menu your salivating. The service was great, the food came fast and the waitress was pleasant. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was amazing. Not only did it look like the picture, but it was perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy and meaty on the inside. I had the mini seared scallops and it was mini, but really good. And I'm not much of a dessert person, but the carmel crunch ice cream cake was amazing!!!!! I really like how they offer smaller portion sizes of certain dishes. I would love to go to another location in the city, after I recovery from the 5000 calories I already consumed here...lol read more

YAY This place puts all other Houlihan's to shame! We were seated in a booth by the bar, a little noisy at first but it added to the ambiance. We ordered the nacho platter for starters. AMAZING!! Everything was melted together so perfectly and it was freakin' HUGE! Soon after, our burgers arrived. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Black & Bleu Burger with nachos. It was PERFECTION! The meat was cooked just right and the bleu cheese slathered in between was delicious. We finished the night off by sharing a creme brulee. Super tasty :) Service was A+, our waitress was delightful. I ordered the French dip sandwich and was disappointed to find that the meat is completely without seasoning. It wasn't even warm enough for the cheese to be melted on top of it. It was mushy and tasteless, and the meat looked grey and old. read more

The lunch menu is pretty good for the fare, but dinner is definitely not worth it. Horrible! Covid has been going on for over a year so I get being cautious, but there hours are till 9pm my husband and I got there at 8:30 and they wouldn't seat us cause the kitchen closes then... Seriously ridiculous.... every other restaurant I have been to during covid has taken us if there was a half hour. They are just being lazy cause they want to be out of there by 9pm on the dot. Just went to Chili's OPEN TILL 11PM!!! So it's not a state mandate it's their choice to close at that time. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I have been going to this place since it opened, even before that when it was this cool place called "Eastside mario's"... one of my favorite places to eat! Now keep in mind that my family has worked for this place on and off for years (my dad has handled their landscaping account since they opened) So I was brought here probably once a week for a very long time until I moved away in my teens.... Regardless, They have some very very tasty choices on their menu! They also have an extensive bar menu that is pretty great as well... so anyway my favorite thing on the menu by far has to be the buffalo wings, these beat out all competitors in my opinion meaning hooters, buffalo wild wings and other places that sell good wings. I also am a big fan of their rosemary chicken dinner which comes with two juicy big pieces of chicken a huge portion of the best mashed potatoes ever and a vegetable medley.... The second favorite thing that I order there is their stuffed chicken breast which comes with a breaded piece of chicken stuffed with a combination of cream cheese horseradish and several other tasty ingredients that I can not quite put my finger on... As for the dessert well let me just tell u there is something called the Snickers pie that is basically an orgasm on a plate this thing is MASSIVE and so delicious.. Its basically Hagen daz ice cream mixed with snickers bars drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce with a crushed Oreo crust, you can literally split it with 2-3 people!! If I ate at this place as much as I used to a few years ago I would definitely be packing on the pounds I have not tasted one bad thing yet in all the years I have been going there. And they just keep adding more and more choices to the menu! The newest addition seems to be several tapas plates which is great because I know a lot of people that go there for the bar scene and these dishes make a great accompaniment to alcohol lol. I used to love Houlihans; thought they were better than the other chains in their class. Went with 3 friends for Happy Hour and dinner. Food was mediocre at best. The drinks were a total rip off. Very small and extremely watered down. 3 martinis and a shot and not even a buzz. I go other places and I need to stop after 1. So, after a totally disappointing evening, Houlihans is officially off the casual dining list forever. read more

Terrible experience, not only was the waiter Chris rude, he forgot our drink orders multiple times and forgot to take the orders of half of our group and we had to remind him. Then the food was horrible, I ordered a medium rare burger that came out well-done and was a hockey puck, my sisters burger was cold and so were the fajitas that were ordered. My brothers Asian chicken was suppose to be grilled and it came out fried. All in all terrible food, terrible service. Didn't try and send anything back due to the outrageous wait time for food, nearly an hour for apps and close to two for the main course and the place was nowhere near busy. Went there for dinner on a Saturday night and it was crowded but the crowd was moving. Had the best stuffed mushrooms I ever had follow by some really good Scallops and my wife had really great fish and chips. Served well by a very friendly and knowledgeable waiter. Working late, starving, rolled in here after 9 and they were still serving dinner, praise God. Lisa was my darling server and she was lovely. I got salmon with potatoes and green bean. They have gluten free items marked in their menu - super helpful, since they don't have many! But this was delicious, the salmon was perfectly cooked. My granddaughter's chocolate milk was too strong, so she asked for vanilla. When milk came, she balked she wanted an actual milkshake but waiter never brought one. Turns out they didn't have milkshakes. The manager walked by, saw her long face and said 'I'll be right back". He came back with a tall vanilla milkshake w whipped cream and cherry! I went to Houlihans this evening to celebrate my mother's birthday. Everything was great until the manager came to pre-bus the table. My nephew commented that he wanted to order dessert and he said "when the pretty waitress comes back she will take the order." My nephew made a comment about how he already had a girlfriend. We all laughed and the manager commented, "better than him having a boyfriend." Now, this comment was said as he was standing next to me, a homosexual man. After dinner My mother confronted him on the highly offensive nature of the comment, especially with him standing right next to me. He attempted to apologize but it was more of a bank pedal on how he didn't have the intention of being offensive as he "has family and friends who are." I chimed in asking how he would feel then if he were present for the same situation. He agreed that it was offensive and he'd be hurt and angry. He tried to apologize to my and attempted to put his hand on my shoulder. I asked him not to touch me and to be careful who he says homophobic comments around. He slowly followed/escorted me out of the restaurant. Until Houlihans corrects their homophobic management, I will not be returning. read more

I haven't been to a Houlihan's in at least 10 years due to not being wowed by the menu, their pricing or anything to differentiate them from other casual food restaurants that are closer to home (Fridays/Applebees). My wife and I took friends to the Houlihan's in Ramsey on a Saturday evening and were pleased by the updated appearance and found the restaurant to be very clean and the staff very attentive. Orders were taken at a leisurely pace as our party spent a great deal of time catching up before ordering and didn't feel rushed in any way. Food was delivered to the table hot and the presentation was very good. I had been told to try their meatloaf which I did. My meatloaf was presented in keeping with what i would expect from a more formal dining experience. Sliced meatloaf stacked on fresh mashed potatoes surrounded by fresh green beans and thinly sliced fried onion garnish piled on top of the meatloaf. Very good and highly recommended. I also learned that this location is able to host parties in varying sizes with rooms to accommodate 12, 30 or 60+ people. I will recommend this location as this isn't the Houlihan's i remember visiting when my children were younger! read more

I came in to get food and wasn't completely satisfied. I ordered the Brentwood grilled chicken sandwiches with sweet potatoes fries which was supposed to have cinnamon sugar but were plain. Both the sandwich and fries were also ice cold when received. Which made the chicken taste grainy and tough instead of just falling apart when u bite in. The service/waitress was great. read more
